Ok, here's the gunboat after i got done messing with it. I added some wiring/pipe and rust textures, faded out on the edges, around various parts of the ship - but with the resolution so low it's hard to see the detail:

Tenacity gave up, anyone else? For you masters out there I bet it's not about money, but it'ld mean alot to me if I could have one of pretty signatures there.
I've got it all planned out detaily and it shouldn't be hard (i gave up on background, it should be either black or white (toayable) or some mixture you creatively put youself in

And, what about some kind of HG tag (for Home Guard) for the ship?

Others could start similar, underequipped ships

It could work, but honestly, I hope that eventually with the rp and cooperation with other people in Discovery FL I will end up equipping my ship with something normal. Not the best, but at least normal.
I have a question about armor.
Should I cripple myself on armor point of view? I believe that junkers can do the job just well of welding and reinforcing the ship, maybe even making additional reinforcements in it that bretonnians didn't do for the sake of the comfort inside the ship

Guns:
Buy half guns or so, then don't buy new guns, but hope you come across looted guns. I've probably picked up 10 different types of turrets, gunboat and cruiser class from capships I've killed. So eventually you'll be able to equip yourself with loot.

Armour:
Maybe buy armour only with money you've earned with doing jobs on that character, that way it's more.. 'earned'

Not an HG tag though, since NovaPG formed into Hideyoshi's Guard, (HG) wld be kinda confusing.

Great idea, Ivan. I like the looks of this. Just the sort of folks that'd be welcomed into the QCP were it not for the fact that we're fighters and transports only.

For the armour, I'd say keep it at no more than lvl 2 or 3 to begin with, then increase it slowly. Using a mix of fighter, transport and GB turrets is a nice touch too. As you build up your rep within the armed forces, you could start replacing them with standard Bret turrets to reflect your growing acceptance into the BAF fold, and the accessibility of military hardware. I think BAF tag and ID is pretty much a no-brainer. I can see folks complaining mightily if you have a junker tag or ID and try to enforce Bretonian military rules on them.

It is an excellent idea to use a mix of turrets, as I will do so.
But I'ld replace that part of getting rep with "time played" in game spent rping. So like, maybe after 30hours of playing the character I can get a new turret or the armor of my liking, or maybe after enough rp with the other bretonnia forces players. The options are unlimited, I just have to get a head acknowledgment to start having fun ^^

quick question and shameless bump.
What about military id? It allows gunboats and my affiliation is BAF.

Oh and, my setup is complete.
3 splitter turrets
lvl 9 fighter gun forward
3 basic gunboat turrets
2 missile turrets.
MkIII (not capital) armor
Gunboat armor
Thruster (not capital)
Cargo scanner (ordinary one)
Full bots, full bats, ship components to be damaged soon to make the assault on my cow even more alluring.
Full story is coming in a week, equipped with timeline from the redundancy at work to completing the repairs of bretonnia vessel.
Four diary logs from four comrades at the day when they descovered the wreck. Three diary logs from the time of finishing the vessel.
Bit of drama.
More drama.
Hopefully picture of the scrapped bretonnia gunboat and a nice new signature for my forums.

I like the set-up. You have effectively a huge and ungainly tank with a missing cannon! Pity about the component damage issue (i.e. the blowing up problem).
