BPS - Bretonians, Contribute and Help - bluntpencil2001 - 06-02-2008 You guys sound reasonable to me, although, for the most part, I do take issue with military sorts claiming to be special forces unless they are able to back it up. No matter, though. BPS - Bretonians, Contribute and Help - sovereign - 06-02-2008 ' Wrote:Welcome to Discovery BPS. I would humbly advise your members to join the QCR of the Armed Forces and spend a trial period there before submitting your own group. In that period you will have the chance to generate the required amount of funds for a faction creation request and also get used to how things roll here in Discovery. I agree with this too. Really, rushing into a faction creation request has ended well all of... never? Join the QCRF, they'll be more than willing to take you I would guess, and skim through the forums. And read the rules a few more times, it never hurts. Once again, a hearty welcome to Discovery and good luck to you! BPS - Bretonians, Contribute and Help - pchwang - 06-02-2008 Just another suggestion... Does the BPS, for instance, want to take on the role of something similar to the LSF? Contrary to what is usually seen ingame, the LSF's actual role is far from policing the Liberty systems. I originally thought that the BPS was going to imitate the LSF, and mentioned that we already have QCSS, Queen Carina's Secret Service, a kind of MI-6 spin-off. Only it never really worked out, since it never had enough popular support, etc... For instance, one role of the QCSS was to get intel for the QCRF, which when necessary, would pass it down to the BPA. Do not get me wrong, I'm not trying to force you to RP in a certain way. The only thing is, your faction's purpose, ZoI, and duties seem too similar to the existing 2 bretonian factions. In this case, why not just join one of the pre-existing factions? If your reason for creating this new faction is because you and your clan members wish to remain together, Discovery doesn't really use that system. In fact, I'm in factions that are hostile to the faction that I lead. So are nearly 90% of all people on this server. If the BPS has a completely different role, maybe like that of the QCSS as described above, I can see it becoming a faction without any problems, since you guys seem to have handled yourselves really well ingame. I really appreciate this opportunity to talk to you guys. Again, if you want to contact me, do it via PM or even ask for my Skype. BPS - Bretonians, Contribute and Help - pchwang - 06-05-2008 I'm bumping this thread, since the last thread got trashed. If this one gets the same treatment as the other one, I am warning you that you will not like the repercussions. BPS, feel free to share your ideas. BPS - Bretonians, Contribute and Help - Dieter Schprokets - 06-05-2008 Good Idea My 2 cents again: 1) [BPS] could exist as a special ops arm of the BAF. They could carry BAF Tag, but generic Military ID, to sorta emphasize their behind the lines thing. 2) I would prefer they just started QCRF characters, but I don't think they will favour that. Their own clan appears to have a long history, and I don't think they will want to give that up. Disco guys, put yourselves in their shoes. Also, there is no reason they can't have QCRF or BPA characters AND their BPS characters. 3) They have got to learn the mod, and server. Until they do, they should hang out with QCRF and BPA. And another point: NEVER fail to meet Unselie on time:) BPS - Bretonians, Contribute and Help - bluntpencil2001 - 06-05-2008 ' Wrote:Their own clan appears to have a long history So did SF. The former SF, in my opinion, are doing rather well as QCR, with a really cool flavour to them. |
