You all did not remember most simpliest way: Can't use capital ship- use a bomber. Well organised and balanced bomber team can become nightmare for any capital fleet.
Another poit of view... Yeah, in 1-1 GRN Cruiser shall be owned by Bret Dessy + many GRN cruisers got 2x Missiles and 2x Razors. Such setup not good against other capital ships. But anyway, where you shall have 1-1 duel?
Right, in mostly way- conn. In majority of combats, you are fighting as a part of a fleet, working in team. GRN Cruiser supports Valor in killing Dunkirks, then, with the help of bombers, attacking remaining cruisers. Proper and organised team can cover your weakneses.
Well, this is my point.
P.S. Yeah, when the CM is subtarget, it's makes difference. And CM's amo still has limit, which can't be told about cap's missiles, so just use it wise.

bret dessie has 2 around moving heavy slots,GRN -noone.
Bret dessie much faster and has very little size.
even 1 bret dessie can kill 2 GRN cruisers.already tested.
So please.your words are not helping with problem.
Im not talking about GRN GB...he is veryyy bad.but this is another thread.
I want use normal cruiser,not bomber.Im not like them.
But size of BC and firepower of cruiser this is something wrong.Dont you think so?

GRN(Council) gunny isn't bad, really. Not the best, but definitely not bad.
It's one of the fastest middle gunboats, all its guns shoot backward, and it has a forward gun.
And it's not too huge.
For instance, look at the Dragon GB. It's way worse by almost all characteristics.
Fully agreed about the cruisers - they definitely need to either become battlecruisers, or have their size reviewed.

Only way to fix the gallic cruisers is to give em a new model, or simply, improve their turning speed by quite an amount (see RM turtle vs light BSs).
The more people started using turret steer and improved their techniques, the more the GRN cruiser sucked.
Also to Gepard: It can kill even 3 cruisers, no worries *wink*
P.S2: now can we talk about Cougar being too good?

I didn't think they were that bad, back when I had an Obstinate I was very happy with the performance of the ship, I had no issues dealing with Bretonian destroyers either, just kind of ground them into dust and went on my merry way (2 cerbs, 2 pulse, 1 light mortar, 1 missile, primaries). The only annoying thing on the ship was the heavy turret arcs, especially the top ones which tried to aim at something that they could not hit then they slooooowly turned back to a place they could fire from.

First of all, what exacly you want to change? Keep loosing conn duel on your CAU VIII GRN Cruisers to CAU V Bret Dessy ? Noone forse you to duel then. Let's take to battlefield then.
Where did you saw FAIR CAP DUEL last time? One Valor vs One Dunkirk, One GRN Cruiser vs Bret Dessy, and so on... Mostly GRN cruisers using simple "let's missile him" tactic. So, 2 constantly pewing missiles GRN cruisers can take Bret Dessy. What the problem then?

i guess the balance fits in Teamwork....afterall 4.86 developers/testers had something in mind when they put these this way. Teamwork...which is not something to happen these days.
its not like everyone got same time zone to team up with others to have some fun RP/Pew-ing yet
Teamwork works against any enemy , not just GRN VS HMS. if we pay attention...All odds are against
Solo Capship pilots in most of the times in my opinion.
maybe a new look is good for the ship..but if you be able to TS missiles out in any cruisers...you can shoot cerbs meanwhile!(yet arcs does not help here) it is something dependable on the situation....so it is better to pick your fight methods better..
Worst is, GRN cruiser must be Able to Charge to any other cruiser in Sirius....since it is Selling Perfection among all other cruisers....but it doesn't
at some points , lonely ghost is right...and at some other points reptile....but lets wait to hear admins/devs opinion about this matter.

After flying the RM Cruiser... a player will automatically QQ about every other cruiser because suddenly they're not "automatic PvP pros".
The GRN Cruiser is good, it's not the best, but it's good. It can't be flown the same way the RM Cruiser is and shouldn't be. Crying that you are not able to do the exact same on one ship as you can in another is a sign that you do not fully understand the complexity of flying each individual ship in it's own manner. Every ship has a different optimal flying style and setup. Figure that out, and you'll see it works just fine...
...or continue crying here instead of adapting.
