' Wrote:It's in NY, there's a Navy base in there, or rather was, I say it's fine.

Was Ithaca a Navy Base? I thought it was an independent firm, and the same thing with it's Campaign sister station, but I might have been wrong. They're both gone now, though...

' Wrote:Meh, it's no as black and white as the poll is, so I didn't vote.

Yeah, I was thinking about how to structure this poll, and I couldn't think of how to structure it right, so I left it simple. Too simple, I think, but I couldn't think of a way to do it right...

well, actually, the badlands are full of deadly radiation pockets. That navy patrol ran into one of them, the flint is in another.

It's likely that the rogues/outcasts/hackers that operate in the badlands have explored it thorougly and marked out where the 'bad' spots are, so they can avoid them. The liberty lawfuls arent privvy to that same information, and can easily stumble into a radiation pocket and wind up dead and derelict.

So, rather than risking it, lawfuls tend to stay out (at least, that's what the message boards say).

On another note, no lawful should EVER take the NY<->NY jump hole. That's just a... no-brainer. Just no.

myself (back when I played virago, LSF, in a raven's claw) and a few other LSF who were with me at the time are guilty of this...

Mon'star went through that jump hole from 21 into the badlands, and we all pursued him. I can see how it'd be OoRP... we probably should have RP'd like we were 'lost' for a while afterwards or something to make up for it.
Oh well.

As an answer to the question: Yes, they can. One ship goes, the other follows. Simple as that. Now, should they? Depends on the situation. As you've said, there are some targets that are high profile enough for people to bother, some aren't. One thing is for sure, I've followed into there a couple of times and I must say it's just a pointless exercise sometimes. I don't like flying in there. Nowadays I don't give chase unless there's good money involved.

Id say no and yes.
For one, police shouldnt follow into the badlands. But Military should be able to. For Bounty Hunters, who cares, you see BH NPCs in there.

Read the rumors regarding the Badlands on Manhattan. Its a Military job the LPI said.

I chased in there, But Never "found" Buffalo base. When a enemy docks on it, I just RP that he docked on a rock but "Which one!?!"

Capitals going in there, are suicidal. I know, I went in there with The Goliath once... Pure fun getting out of there.

Military shouldn't go in there unless they have a very good reason. Police, never. Bounty Hunters... rarely.

Huh.. never thought about it that way...

Depends on what ship, really. I managed to get an Osiris through it in SP once. Not too bad, due to the shape and size of the ship.

bounty hunters can go in if they're using fighters... but I havent seen a single bounty hunter player using anythign smaller than a BHG gunship in my entire time here.

Wouldn't wanna risk their backsides unless they had some backup or had the prospect of some serious cash to motivate them
