Fluct is mainly 0.And my CPU usage ( When I'm not running anything ) is like 20 - 30 %.

My ping is 55-60 on Disco, but its laggy ( When I fight only ) , and on vanilla server ( stationed in America , the Freelancer Universe ) its 175 and no lag at all.

Have you tried different Discovery server?
Like,Disco UK or Discovery of Discovery,both shouldn't be too laggy for you.

Correct Zero.
I have mainly focused on playing Disco FL 24/7, but I also play on Disco of Disco when the official server is under DDoS attack.
Anyway, I experience fighting lag on all Discovery Servers.

Hmm... Well, lately i found 2 gigs of single-channel 800 ram for 14 euros, new. That's cheap, even for us, Yugoslavs.

Well, this is what I did.
I disabled my Antivirus, ended all unneccesary processes in Task Manager, reduced my resolution from 1024 x 768 x 32 to 800 x 600 x 32.I replaced my router with a wireless one and deleted few programs in Add/Delete Programs .
It runs better now , although I could use some training in Connecticut and I still have little bit lag ( DDoS attacks ).

I live in Israel and I have about 90ms or so and it doesn't lag at all.. even with a 30fps I manage to hit well ( limited the fps just for you ).
I believe its all about packet loses, but an increase of fps will also help a lot..
No one tells you to purchase a new babe but even with your specs it should be able to run FL with atleast 70fps.
FL uses a rather "old engine" and similiar to "Call of Duty" engine, fps effects gameplay.
If u don't care about sound, you can have an additional 40+fps if u disable your sound drivers.
Or.. get 145$ and buy a good pc ( im guessing 2gb, quad core 8300 3.0 and ATI 6x series card )
Edit : I would also listen to Gypsie for the time being.. using a gunboat with TS will do the trick until u find another solution.

Well, I could disable my sound , since I can better concentrate on what I'm doing in FL when I've got no sound.
