So, do i understand correctly, should we expect more NPC trading in 4.87?

You already can, just pew them.

I remember when I sat around in Galileo with a P-Trans shooting NPC cargo shipments.
Can bring in a tidy profit at low server load times. Any human players that come along are bonuses to your income.

Sell the goods at Toplita in Cassini or Padua in Galileo.

No - there'll be the same number of NPCs as always. Just the placement of cargo will be more logical depending on faction and area.

BTW...I saw yesterday a NPC ship with 4 loads of shp. I mean 4x199999 units robotics. Unfortunately, my id did not allow me to destroy that ship. (a stork I think...). I'm curious ... first, how is it possible to have a load of 4x199999 units robotics and second, if after the destruction of that ship, if that amount of robotics would have been destroyed also?

There's a cap for the maximum possible amount of cargo to be dropped upon ship death. Currently, I think it's about 3,000 units.
