As said before - a straight one on one import is a no. But if you make a ship from scratch that just looks a lot like this one (the hull shape is a bit generic anyway), that would be okay. The ship reminds me a bit of the Colonial Cruiser with a bigger engine and a big conning tower.

The Developers want Discovery to feel like it's own unique universe, one that doesn't include various styles of ships that do not fit into the Freelancer setting. They want to keep it close to the vanilla game while expanding it to fit into their own story.
That's why they're phasing out imports.

That ship is a command carrier, not a corvette (corvette is a deep-water fast destroyer, such as the BHG Thresher or the Zoner Fearless).
There's room for a heavy command carrier somewhere in this game, I suppose. Something based on the Gallic Cruiser body style might work. Would be nice detail to have the model include some freighters for the pods.
