John S. Vincetti, From Planet LA surface.

Greetings,

I've met a pretty good-looking blonde aspiring actress at a beach cocktail bar here, so i'll keep this short.
Last night, departing from California Minor system, i met a Navy pilot who was just wrapping things up with some rogues at Riverside Station. Now don't get me wrong, i know that Rogues are not so hard to take down, but I appreciate it when people destroy them, instead of ignoring them.. At least that way they don't feel neglected..

Anyways, I made contact with the pilot, and he provided escort for me. We were on our way to Penny sistem, then back to New York, where I've done a few load of supplies to the DISP. While I was doing.. "performance evaluations" at the bar, I was contacted by Marco, one of our people down at Pittsburgh Refugees Camp. He told me that they have just finished making some upgrades at some of those Camps, and that we can now take in more refugees from Leeds. I immediately jumped back in the Star.Lifter, and told that Navy pilot to meet me in Orbit, and that it was urgent. Now, those of who who have been to Leeds in the last few months and have seen the conditions there now and the ammount off people that wish to get off, i bet you could certainly understand why I was eager to bring more of them to safety...

And so we did, we set course for Leeds system. Our first destination was LD-14 Since i was carrying Buron from Pittsburgh (( Something about how an DSE) ship should never fly empty ? )). After that, it was a clear run to Leeds.. Pilot of the Navy Fighter Abyssus had to depart for different duties then.. But, without an escort, we haven't ran into any trouble, and we got those men, women and children back to Pittsburgh safely.. They are being assigned to camps as we speak..Hopefully some of them will see that DSE threats it's workers with proper respect, and hopefully they will stick around and help with our mining operations there.

To the Pilot of Abyysus, i salute your sense of duty and I would also like to invite you to try your luck with us, we could sure use more able fighter pilots for our security wing... if you ever get bored of the Navy life that is.. :: TRANSMISSION BEING SENT, Re-trying ..., Re-trying ..., Re-trying...

I hope he gets it..
Well, that blonde won't stick around forever, wish me luck guys.. Not that I need any..

Sheppard out

Mr. Kumar:

Your report is much appreciated. It's fortunate that the defenses at Saltese were sufficient in protecting yourself - perhaps next time we can allocate some security staff. Regarding the status of your ship, I am afraid we have little engineering support allocated to the Humboldt system or nearby regions, but if your ship is capable of safely flying to Los Angeles, the planetside crews should be able to run some proper diagnostics and put in a work order. If you are unable to fly and in need of emergency services, please do not hesitate to indicate such.

Mr. Vincetti

Good to hear from you again - it's been a while. Reports on our ongoing humanitarian programs are always encouraging and I am especially glad to hear that the Navy has been maintaining a presence. You may have a visit from a PR rep about taking down some details for a possible future release soon.

As for the pilot of the vessel Abyssus, I am afraid we have been unable to locate a personnel file upon request. I wish you the best of luck in reaching them.

Keep up the good work gentlemen,

COMM ID: Reimi Saionji
TARGET ID: Mr Park
SUBJECT: Refiling of Employee Recruitment Files
ENCRYPTION: Corporate Clearance Grade 2
PRIORITY: Medium

The screen blinks to life as a young, obviously Kusarian woman smiles.“Konichiwa Mr. Park."
“My name is Reimi.. Reimi Saionji. I was informed by Human Resources that I need to send you a copy of my recruitment papers… Something about a computer malfunction that wiped my entire crews worth of Recruitment info as well as my own. This would explain why our last three paychecks were never deposited in our neural account. I have gone a few times without receiving my paychecks before, though they would normally arrive within a week of the mistake. My crew is in the process of digging their papers out of the debris fields they call quarters… Umm, what is it Marcus?”
She looks off screen momentarily as another man speaks, “Have you seen Thompson, he’s supposed to be covering my station while I find out why Turret 4 refuses to rise more than 38 degrees?”
She points behind her to a door with a no entry sign on it visible to the camera, “He’s in the computer core doing exactly that, feel free to give him a hand, were moored at the moment so were safe… relatively.” She says as she looks out of one of the viewports across from her.
“Well Rei, if he’s working on it then I’ll man my station… I prefer manning a gunner station at all times while in Leeds, these Gallic’s are tricky,” He says as he steps into view of the screen suddenly realizing she is on a call.
“Goram it, why didn’t you tell me you’re talking to someone Captain?”
“Because you didn’t ask, get to your station, you baka.” She says with a playful tone, saluting nonchalantly to him as he moves off screen.
“Now, where was I… oh yeah, my crew. My men are currently hunting down their papers, I have my papers right here, so I’ll be sending them first.” She starts typing on the console then takes a small quarter sized disc and slides it in the small disc slot barely visible onscreen.
“The files are currently transferring, shouldn’t take more than a few seconds. *Beep beep* Oh, done already, guess this upgraded comms system was a good investment…”

**Begin Files**

Name: Reimi “Rei” Saionji.
Gender: Female.
Age: 29.
Nationality: Libertonian since 802 A.S.
Have you had any criminal convictions or are you waiting upon sentencing?: No, myself, my crew, and ships records are clean, save for the Gallics wanting to scrap the Strato for all the times we’ve skirted past them just out of weapons range.
Do you have any medical conditions that may affect your ability to work, or exit a building/vessel in case of an emergency?: No I have always been blessed with good health.
Character Biography:Pilot History Neural Net Link
Department being applied for: Trader, (Have been flying for DSE for over two years now.)
What skills/personality traits do you have that will be useful in this department?: I am a great tactician as well as able to stay calm under the threat of imminent destruction. This trait allows my crew to stay calm as a result thus keeping the damage from raids to as minimum as possible, I know most of the paths in and around Liberty as well as a few of the beaten path jump points that make our trade runs that much shorter. I am a people person and have many a friend in and around Liberty that allows me to keep watch over the areas the Strato is headed to as well as keep us informed of any possible dangers.
Why do you think you will be suited for the selected position/s?: I was allowed into DSE as a trader given my past freelance trade jobs for the company up until I was offered the job and given my choice of crew members. I thank DSE for its understanding in my hiring of my mostly freelancer crew save for the two ex-BHG members… those two were a godsend 4 months ago, we would have been dead in the black had they not managed to convert the power core to take liquid fuel cells instead of H-fuel. We have been using Liquid Fuel Cells ever since and I must say, the Strato seems to go though the new fuel slower than it would with the H-Fuel cells.
Do you have a vessel available to be used under the DSE) Tag?: Already got my baby, bought it just before my first day on the job, My Bison Battle transport straight out of a decom. field on Los Angeles has held together much better than my, at the time brand new Anki did, they sure do make these Navy ships from some solid materials. For your new records, my ship is a Class C5 Decommissioned “Bison” Battle Transport, call sign of “DSE)Stratofreighter.”
What do you hope to get out of DSE)?: I have already received what I hoped for from the company, I am the captain of a large transport class trade vessel with a crew I trust and ship I love. What more could a Sailor ask for.
Have you been sanctioned, if so - what for?: Not quite sure what a Sanction is or why I need to answer this question, but whatever they are, I’ve yet to receive one.

**End Files**

“Well, Mr. Park, I hope you receive my documents without delay, I’ll send my crews papers through as they find them. Wish you the best and Hope to hear from you sir.
Reimi Saionji of the DSE)Stratofreighter over and out, Safe Flying.”

She leans in and taps a button as the video recording ends.

Ms. Saionji:

Thank you very much for submitting an update to your dossier - I have no idea how Human Resources managed to let this go under the radar for so long. Please accept my deepest apologies and rest assured that we will resolve any outstanding issues resulting from it.

On to business, it's good to hear from an individual assigned to the Leeds route, as we have had a high demand for ship hull panels lately. As we no longer have any previously submitted logs of your trade vessel's runs, please let us know of the current conditions of the route firsthand - trader activity, pirate encounters, and actions by houses at war with Liberty. Furthermore, due to the high demand, you can expect some additional compensation for your hauls and deliveries to Doe Industries Space Port, so don't forget to submit a record prior to dropping them off with the docking master.

Glad to have you back with us - or back in the database, at least. Please have a round of drinks for yourself and your crew at any of our company's stations.

Stay safe,

Walter Park

Mr. Nishimura:

Welcome aboard and thank you for your report. I have also received a supplementary log via a private channel and have perused it thoroughly. Glad to hear you're fitting in well with the rest of the staff and have been a quick learner in handling the new EL-HiL51 Mammoth transport. A bit of a step up from the old Rhino, eh? Keep up the good work and diligent logs - makes our bookkeeping much, much easier.

Mr. Kumar

It is certainly a relief to hear that the engineers aboard Saltese were able to repair your ship to working condition. However, please check in at Baltimore Shipyard when you get the chance for a full inspection to ensure all parts are functioning and meet regulations. Wouldn't want a cobbled-together, grey-market engine to suddenly explode and such. I've received word from the Mining division of Mr. Vincetti's reports. With the hard work and dedication you have been putting into operations, we are considering allocating a greater portion of our funds and fleet to mining operations once again. Well done.

* * *

Ms.Saionji

With the revitalization of the Mining Division, Logistics has decided to put in an order to requisition your transport to haul ore. The necessary flight routes and danger assessment will be transmitted to you soon. In the meantime, please report to Baltimore Shipyard to have your modular cargo storage refitted more appropriately for the cargo. Please let us know if there are any incidents during the process.

Safe flying,

Hey guys, since I haven't checked in on this channel for a few days, i'm submitting my report now.. Better late then never eh ?

Hmm.. Where to start ? *Pauses, and breaths out* .. Well, as for as the logistics part is concerned I got that covered, and getting in some nice profit from hauling stuff around.. I also drop in some resources into DISP when I get the chance. From what I experienced, pirate activity is in it's usual level, nothing too fancy to report on that subject. There were some cases of over-taxing but they have been reported to the appropriate channels already.

As for the mining part, I'm glad to say that i'm reaching some record profits, for both me and the company, and as off today, i'm officially over 100.000.000 credits in profit for the company.. All those long-hours, and repetitive rock chasing payed off, so it seems.
And now that I passed the 100 mill mark, you guys mind arranging lifetime unlimited consummations in the Saltese bar ? *Laughs* What, am I not allowed to try ?
Also, today was the first day I did a mining operation with the local junker congress, and it's safe to say that the todays operation was extremely profitable for me, for DSE, and for the junker congress.. Who knows, this might be just one of many kind of those days ahead ? And to tell you the truth, i've been thinking of divoting more of my on-duty time to the mining division, at least now when the bussy season is over for the logistics.

As you might have noticed, i'm in a hospital as i'm sending you this feed.. As to how I got here, well, did you guys know that there are a bunch of micrometeorites flying around in Humboldt's carreiro field ? And that without shields there is actually a high chance that one of those things can cause a little hole in the soft places your ship like for example the cockpit window ? Well, i just got to know that the hard way. As I was done with my mining operations, and heading back to Saltese for some good old R&R, i dropped my shields so I can dock with the station, and one of those micro thingies decided that then was the best time to see how durable my cockpit window is.. Well, luckily it was durable enough to only suffer a small hole, but not so lucky for me, since it sucked all the air out of my cabin and been out of air for nearly a minute, before the saltese crew got me out of the cockpit and dragged my unconscious body to the hospital. Good thing that autopilot was already set for docking procedure, otherwise who knows what could have happened.

Well, that covers the events of these past few days.. I'll be out of the hospital in a few hours once the doctor's here make sure that there was no brain damage, since it wouldn't be good for me to fly around on a torpedo-hauling arrastra and suddenly lose all memory on who I was, and panicly pressed the red button eh ?

Well, I think i'll go grab a beauty nap now.. If you guys need anything, just let me know. Also i'm uploading the details of the mining op now..
