Well, lagging out mostly ends up with immediately disconnection in seconds i think, most of them not sure.
You can see clearly when someone ( trader mostly) standing near you watching you ... you say "bla bla bla money"

If it happens to fighter, you can always explain what happened and say sorry.

not always true.. i actually saw couple unlucky traders who laged right in front of me. so yea i guess not everyone who is trader and cloaks infront of you is a lolwut who dont know how to RP:P

Lag... well yes that does happen as do disconnects. I think the action was taken for the other 98.9% of the folks out there who have chosen a radical departure from game while in the midst of interaction with another player. I'm not going to say things don't happen. Nor am I going to say that the announcement is going to be 100% correct all of the time. Goodness knows, I've seen people lag out as well. But by and large, I think it's a good feature.

No flame, just things what we dont understand.
it seems like this (happened situation):
the guy gots a dc under an encounter (pirates tell him to drop all cargo or they kill him and gives 20 sec for him to obey). 1st of all the 20 sec is not even enough to answer properly but dont talk about this here- we all know it means they hope that he wont find the buttons fast enough and that-they can kill him. people who gives 20 sec doesnt care of money or loot, they go for kills. and its a fact.
The guy gots a dc, and goes back to space instantly after the disconnection- it takes him 2 mins, and he continues the encounter, the pirates gets eir cargo, and escorts him to the nearest jh to make him go out form the system.
The player didnt make any forum threads or notes, cause he could go back and finish the situation, and the ,,pirates lost only 2 mins- and the situation is a whole.
The guy is happy, he lost his whole cargo, but he rped a few lines with cool pirates, the pirates are happy, cause they showed their cojones, it seems everyone is happy. BUT (here comes the pathetic part). after a day, the player gets a sanction from Admins:
lemme guess--
1.:one of the pirates told: the guy f1-ed out from combat, and doesnt care that he got back and finished the situation properly and informed the pirates he was only dced and sorry.
2.: the admin doesnt care about the whole situation, it seems the keypoint is only: if ya EVER get a dc ya have to post, no matter that you can finish the situation, and fulfill all in rp deeds.
3.: you have to use fraps in whole time when ya play to get all and every second of your gameplay recorded, what sounds a lille irritatin. even if only 3 screenshots / every minute of interacting with any other player. (imgine that maybe a few people has no gigas to keep every minute recorded. bahhhh)
so it seems like this atm, ahh and I didnt mention that after the guy gone offline for 2 min, and come back instantly to finish his rp situation (and lost the cargo and escorted out from the sys) he got a sanction and lost another 100milss for? lemme gues.. for his net?
thats all. everyone can get eir own conclusion. for me personally its the followin: press that screenshot button, like it would be countermeasure, cause admins wont beleive you, and the other players wont care of the resoult of an encounter, no matter if the situation is finished, they will tell that you are a bugger.
Pure mate, now have to re-start farming for creds. Lucky him, we can lend him the amount what can compensate the misunderstandings and no-trust of the cold black space.

we obey all rules. and accept the words of Cannon, but as it seems now, he was misinformed, and our boys cannot defend eirselves, aganist well tricked ooc piracy and sanctions.
conclusion: if ya wanna play an old game like disco-buy decent machine, buy expensive net, and for hells sake, make a picture on every single minute or yall be ripped inside-out.:(

First off if your going to get your point across you can do that without flaming and by choosing your words carefully, to say the admins don't care is hardly true.

When it comes to stuff like this proof is everything, unfortunately yes someone can take advantage of you but if you have no proof to back up your defense than I'm sorry but the Admins are going to rule with the guy with proof. Why? Because what would stop every other person who actually D/C's from saying "Yeah I came back but he sanctioned me anyway...." Nothing that's what, so I say do what I do and if you D/C during a encounter when you get back screenshot it or even PM him saying "Sorry about that." and SS it with his reply.
Now as for the whole pressing Fraps every second, I can see why this could be an issue but this problem is not as wide spread as it sounds. And I expect 99% out of the time it's a player who F1ed who is trying to get out of his punishment but hey the real justice system is just as bad or worse so just deal with it because it's not that big a deal.

I know that whenever I have disconnected because of this awful Korean internet here, I've always come back and appoligized. If said person wasn't on anymore, I would get to the forums or Skype (because I have so many people on there) and I'll appoligize for the DC, explaining where I am, why I DCed, and that it'll PROBABLY happen again. I follow that up by asking if they want to continue to do the RP.
If they do, great, if they don't...I won't shed a tear...I've been here for four plus years and I've yet to be sanctioned using this method. It works best by just posting on the forums, saying your sorry, or getting back in game ASAP.
