RE: Phoenix Internal Network - RedEclipse - 06-24-2021 ![]() I did some research on Vega sub systems, based on our knowledge of Bismarck class battleships taken from Gas Miners Guild, adopted with the latest reconstruction of the Vega. Though most of the ship was heavily reconstructed, primarily systems of the reactor weren't changed, only adopted to PHWR type, to bring maximum efficiency with less changes in the mechanism. The PHWR system is a common and reliable technology that has been used for centuries. With all advantages such as low maintenance price, simplicity in repairs and durability is under the air, per turbine maintenance and rods replacement ship is required for high-end service on the shipyard, which, in my opinion, is a bad practice for our fleet. ![]() The big advantage comes with its ability to avoid enriched fuel but in time life expiration I would suggest replacing it with a different type of reactor, which will affect ship persistence. I'm saying about nuclear reactor that Mr. Henrik mentioned previously. While at first impression it seems like technology that wouldn't be able to fulfill ship requirements, the good thing is about its size. It could offer the modularity of the power plant section. Which could extend the non serviceable ship period. In case of reactor replacement it would be possible in open space, without having a shipyard in the backyard. While reactors bay would serve as main source of the energy, each section also can have mounted own second-circle reactors, which could be used per significant damage for main reactor section, to offer incredible vitality even compare to the Hyperion ![]() Further investigation is required, but it depends more on Livadia Shipyard current capacity in rebuilding a ship of such size and current status of the Vega PHWR systems. Oh, and on the side note I heard that engineers on the Livadia almost made it possible to extract coordinates of the beacon coordinates launch. The origin is no longer under the question, it was sent by Vega emergency program. ![]() RE: Phoenix Internal Network - Groshyr - 07-01-2021 ![]() From myself I can say that the ARC could act as a reserve reactor for the Vega, in case if main will be damaged or for some reason not working However, it's too soon to make a cross on it: we can test ARC's capacity to maintain larger ships on one of the damaged Aquillon carriers we got in Livadia's drydock, if their Captains wouldn't mind. ![]() RE: Phoenix Internal Network - RedEclipse - 07-09-2021 ![]() Urgent message to Research department, It has come to my attention that Vega location was found. While it seems that the ship managed to jump just several away from the original designated destination, a salvage mission is required. Our obligation to save the crew and the ship, as Vega was left alone as Hyperion jumped to catch Corefleet. We are in debt. I’m reading through all the automated reports that our engineers managed to decrypt and it seems that the crew wouldn't be able to repair the ship by itself due to the patted condition of the main systems. I heard of wormhole generator technology, that’s what we could get in use. While we never tried to get in use of such technology, we couldn’t put the salvage mission at risk. Build a prototype and test it out on route, let's say from Kadesh Orbital Colony to Freeport 14. Per success and stable result of the mission we will open the next wormhole with Omicron-74, as the coordinates of our once home system are still in the database. ![]() RE: Phoenix Internal Network - RedEclipse - 07-15-2021 ![]() Urgent message to Security department, I got the report from our mining wing that a modular installation "Apollo Base" was constructed dangerously proximity to the place of our mining operations. Before it went too late the threat should be eliminated. Deploy several corefleet warships from the Kadesh defensive perimeter to proceed for order execution. ![]() RE: Phoenix Internal Network - puppytaste - 07-15-2021 ![]() Christian, I have indeed received the same report from our mining craft and have instructed them to examine the structure more closely. ![]() The base seems to have been recently constructed in a hasty fashion. Its transponder transmits no IFF and it would appear to be derelict and adrift. Most concerning is its close proximity to the Iridium Field as this base resides on its outer edge about 6km from the center. My suggestion at this moment is to move for its removal, with of course adequate time to examine the base more thoroughly and evacuate any persons that may still be trapped on board and in need of humanitarian assistance. The Titan has disembarked with support vessels from Athens Station. I am directing the task force to assemble at Delta Mining Corp. in orbit of Planet Tuvalu before moving onto the base. Until then I request that you begin to broadcast the general alert that the destruction of the base is imminent and all persons able to leave should do so immediately. Drakken out. ![]() RE: Phoenix Internal Network - Alvin - 07-20-2021 ![]() Attention to all members As of this moment, all personnel are to strictly avoid making contact with any individuals identifying as an "Auxesian". Steer well clear of vessels bearing an "Auxo" IFF or A/) prefix call signs, and be on full alert until further notice. A major incident has now been declared in our home system of Omicron Zeta, with our fleet bearing our Hyperion was subjected to an unprovoked attack from an unknown group of people. Further details are still coming to my desk by the minute, but from what I can disclosed right now, our patrolling fleet was responding to a distress call at sector F6, to find a lone Core pilot was under attack from a large group of nomads and infested vessels. Our fleet subsequently deployed at this location to secure the zone, and was successful in repelling the aliens back at arm’s length, almost to the point of full retreat. However, a new foreign group announcing as the "Technocratic First Fleet" bearing warships turned up in the sector at 22:44 Sirius Coordinated time. We have not fully encountered this group before, but in a strange coincidence this rallied the Aliens to fight on, with our fleet re-engaging the compromised vessels. During this time, this unknown fleet engaged a nearby Core vessels who turned up to the scene. As we do not know the history of this new group, and upholding our principle of neutrality, we did not interfere between the warring parties. However, once the Core vessel has been disabled, this group began communicating to our fleet and inconsiderably started making demands, whilst our fleet was fully engaged in battle with the aliens. Treating our combat occupied status from communication somehow as an unacceptable response, this unknown group opened fired at exactly at 23:00, not even within 20 minutes into first communication contact. The first shot of a mortar type projectile was fired at our group with a direct hit on the carrier starboard. ![]() With the cowards entering the combat at the flank of our fleet in league with the aliens, our defence group was overwhelmed, and forced make a withdrawal back into the cover of Capetown station. Unfortunately, our carrier in bid to cover our flagship whilst entering emergency shielding with the station, was critically damaged under immense fire. Orders were made to abandon the carrier, and fortunately with the proximity of the station, the small amount of crew that managed to reach the escape pods launched to the station were promptly rescued. At the moment, Christian Burton in command of the flagship has been reported unscathed from the attack. He and his ranking officers are currently assessing the situation on board and re-grouping the remaining fleet. One of our other fleets has been re-routed to their location on top speed. A repair ship has also been dispatch to assess if the destroyed vessels could be repaired, and if necessary salvaged. These dishonourable, literal backstabbers have shown their devious action right on our first contact. We will avenge our fallen members one way or another and make sure they answer to their atrocity. An emergency meeting is being set up to discuss our next steps, and expect a message from Christian Burton directly from the Hyperion shortly. - Alec ![]() RE: Phoenix Internal Network - RedEclipse - 07-21-2021 ![]() Act of aggression. A group that was unknown before, in fact in first contact showed their teeths and attacked our Corefleet while it was being onslaught by Nomad entities. They believe that we let it pass on and forgive for the sake of absolute neutrality. Their bet was wrong. After thoughtful discussion with respective representatives, I came up with a decision that can be hard for our approach, but we have to sacrifice something in order to survive, for the safety of the Omicrons for our people. Once we have scattered our neutrality with everyone, but those days are long gone. We have no other choice than to destroy them entirely and wipe them off from the Omicrons. Their collaboration with the aliens is no longer under question, their inhuman approach and separation from the humanity cannot be longer tolerated. Erase Auxesia ships by plasma fire each time you met them in the Omicrons, we cannot let the infection pass. Zeroing our trade contacts if we have any, update friendly fpe systems to avoid their usage of our assets. Contact out allies and interested parties about their intentions and request more details about said group, the better we know them the sooner get rid of them. ![]() RE: Phoenix Internal Network - RedEclipse - 07-25-2021 ![]() With boosted interest due to ongoing research of the Alien Organisms at Corinth, I’m with following scientists starting looking over for a cheap source of them, but safe enough to not put our men at risk while extracting. ![]() I’ve plunged into exploring missions. While most of the systems are extremely rich on those organisms, so far Omicron Zeta seems to be the most efficient spot. So we started extracting them, but it was not sufficient enough. So I came up with a proposal for you. I believe Kadesh is capable of stockpiling some of the Alien Organisms? It will help us greatly to improve safety for our people, as Yap Edge nebula is quite a close spot for us, it’ll be a perfect dropoff point, furthermore it faintly would affect general Kadesh Orbital Colony traffic. ![]() RE: Phoenix Internal Network - puppytaste - 07-25-2021 ![]()
From a Trade and Scientific Standpoint this is a brilliant idea. We have always known of the vast abundance of alien organisms just outside out doorsteps were a potential gold mine of valuable research commodities and profit opportunity. By allowing outside vessels access to our stores of organisms we are creating a brand new market with potential to make billions! I think we can start by sectioning off an area of the main cargo bay. We can make use of our prior experiences quarantining suspected Nomad Infected by establishing an effective bio-containment area capable of storing and packing... lets say roughly 30,000 standard cargo units? Also, and probably most importantly, we should include our own front line 'bio-sorting' to the recovery process of Alien Organisms. I don't see why we can't take the first look at these creatures as they are brought to Kadesh, so that we will benefit form any purely unique findings before anyone else? I have had our engineers mock up something appropriate and have included the specs in this message for joint review. ![]() Ms. Young has uncovered a potential gold mine of research potential and profits, once again proving she is as intelligent as she is ravishing. I'm going to pass this off to the Security Department for their thoughts on this proposal, but I really think we're onto something big here.
![]() RE: Phoenix Internal Network - Alvin - 07-28-2021 ![]() Call me an uneducated, but I am weary of any alien lifeforms large or small on Kadesh, even under controlled circumstances. The thought of people slipping on some "slimy goo" and getting a xeno-bacterial infection somewhat concerns me. However, given the significant economic benefit is too big to ignore and the colony is able provide a safe drop off, I am willing give this a provisional a go ahead subjected to a frequent review. I do expect to see nomad handling procedures to be followed at all times from everyone, and the containment area needs to have the ability to purge or vent the things to space if needed. On the security side we will chart out new flight path so the mining field falls by the patrolled area. I will also put a review into the docking patterns as well, as it would be best to reserve a more secured docking port specifically for this type of activity. I am hoping this would to reduce contamination risk and a safeguard adversaries exploiting our resource into a threat. - Alec ![]() |
