SUBJECT: After action report

Guten abend,

Feldwebel Maximilian Meyer berichterstattung,

This time I'm going to compile three reports in one, to make the paperwork easier for everyone. Two encounters with smugglers and one with Corsairs.

Day started just like any other, patroling the lanes of Rheinland. But with the absence of any hostile targets, or anything of interest I returned to Battleship Strausberg. Shortly after arriving back, a Camara class Civilian Freighter named L.Freeman exited the trade lane from the direction of Brandenburg Border Station 10K from Bonn Station and headed for the gate to Stuttgart through open space, probably because he saw me on radar and tried to avoid me. I anticipated his action and that he might be a smuggler and immediately entered trade lane to Stuttgart to intercept him before he gets away. I exited the trade lane in front of him and disrupted his cruise engine even though he was constantly dropping countermeasures to avoid my disruptors. I stopped him there and didn't try to run again after that. Upon scanning the transport I discovered that the ship was a Freelancer transport and that it was transporting illegal Black Market Munitions. I clearly stated to him that the commodity he was transporting was illegal. But he kept telling me that it was for the resistance fighters on Planet Leeds. Even though his actions might have been honorable the law is the law and it must be upholded, so I told him to drop the black market munitions so that I could destroy them. Upon shorter talk and persuasion with the captain of the ship, I managed to make him he dropped his cargo. Before I could have destroyed them, he already fired and vaporized them and told me that he did it instead of me to make it easier for me. After the encounter, the transport went back to Planet New Berlin and took the lane to Frankfurt system and from there into Sigmas. I don't know if he was telling the truth about going to Leeds, but by my last check Bretonia is in the other direction.

Full logs of the encounter are as follows:

  1. Smuggler No. 1 - Log No. 1
  2. Smuggler No. 1 - Log No. 2
  3. Smuggler No. 1 - Log No. 3
  4. Smuggler No. 1 - Log No. 4
I continued patroling through Rheinland and by mere coincidence I again caught a smuggler right back where I started, at Battleship Strausberg. This time it was an Unione Corse vessel named Silencieux and it again also transported illegal Black Market Munitions, but it's captain didn't didn't try to run. He complied with my demand to drop the cargo without resistance, which is rarely found in smugglers. A few seconds later I destroyed the illegal cargo and I let him go. He didn't complain and entered the trade lane to Stuttgart gate.

Full logs of the encounter are as follows:

  1. Smuggler No. 2 - Log No. 1
  2. Smuggler No. 2 - Log No. 2
  3. Smuggler No. 2 - Log No. 3
Not long after, an IMG reported a Corsair presence in New Berlin, which was very disturbing. At that point I was already at the Planet New Berlin. One IMG transport entered the lane from Planet New Berlin to Essen Station and there got trapped by one Corsair transport and one Corsair Cruiser. They issued him a demand to pay to be left alone and alive. IMG transport decided to pay and left soon after. I was the only one left there so I first radioed for backup and then attacked the Corsairs. First I engaged the transport and a few minutes later RM capital and bomber backup arrived and engaged as well. The transport quickly turned into flying scrap. The Cruiser was giving more resistance and entered the asteroid field in order to get away from us to Frankfurt. But they didn't, because the Admiral arrived as well with the new prototype bomber and quickly destroyed it. No repairs were needed after the engagement so I just returned to Battleship Strausberg and called it a day.

  1. Corsair No. 1 - Log No. 1
  2. Corsair No. 1 - Log No. 2
  3. Corsair No. 1 - Log No. 3
  4. Corsair No. 1 - Log No. 4
  5. Corsair No. 1 - Log No. 5
  6. Corsair No. 1 - Log No. 6
  7. Corsair No. 1 - Log No. 7
  8. Corsair No. 1 - Log No. 8
Our ships are standing by to deal with any future threats to security and integrity Rheinland space.

Für das Vaterland.

Feldwebel Maximilian Meyer abmeldung.

SUBJECT: After action report, Checkpoint report

Guten abend,

Feldwebel Maximilian Meyer berichterstattung,

I am sending you my yesterday's report and apologize for not writing it yesterday due to the busy patrol schedule.

Patrol started at 13:00 SMT and was quiet up until one Hessian Cruiser approached Bonn Station - Brandenburg Border Station trade lane and disrupted it. Cruiser purpose for being there, piracy. Hessian engaged immediately by saying ''Let's dance.''. Fight began, but knowing I couldn't destroy a Cruiser with a single bomber I radioed a message on emergency frequencies asking for bomber assistance. Admiral Winter responded my call and together with two bombers, we quickly destroyed Hessian Cruiser. Following the battle, Admiral instructed me to continue the patrol until further orders arrive.

Full logs of the encounter are as follows:

  1. Hessian No. 1 - Log No. 1
  2. Hessian No. 1 - Log No. 2
  3. Hessian No. 1 - Log No. 3
After the ''unfortunate fate'' of the Hessian Cruiser and patroling Rheinland space, Hauptmann Rutger Maximilian on board RNC-Rendsburg instructed me to redeploy to a fighter craft vessel and to get ready for a new mission. Upon arriving at Bonn Station Hauptmann informed me that Bretonian Armed Forces requested our assistance in Omega-3 system to clear the space of pirate activity. We moved to Omega-3 through Stuttgart and Omega-7 systems at best speed and finally arrived to Omega-3 just to find out that all pirates have dispersed from the trade lanes.

Hauptmann Rutger ordered me to scout the first trade lane up to Aland Shipyard and report back with my finding. After checking the trade lane and Aland Shipyard for possible pirate activity and concluding that it is non existent, I got recalled back by Hauptmann to Omega-7 gate. Together we formed a security checkpoint for passing transports looking for any potential smugglers that might try to enter Rheinland via Omega-3 gate.

After setting up a checkpoint we didn't wait long for some transport to show up. Freelancer transport named Clio came to Omega-7 gate using the trade lane from Aland Shipyard. We stopped him there and questioned him. As it turned out the captain of said vessel was Frau Elise. Transport checked out fine and was cleared to continue it's travels into Rheinland. Frau Elise had some interesting story to tell us which I will include in the log document. Visual logs are unavailable for the period of our being in Omega-3 because of the intense Ion Storms in the system.

We lied low and waited for the next transport to pass by, but instead Bretonian Armed Forces fighter showed up instead and asked what were we doing in Bretonia space. After some talks and clearing up the miss information on Bretonian side, we were allowed to stay at the gate and continue our transport checkpoint mission. In the mid talk with Bretonian fighter pilot Ion storm disrupted our ships and caused power outage. A few minutes later we restored all systems and continued the talk with the Bretonian and another Bretonian pilot which arrived as well after the storm. All in all, talks with them went well.

Last transport we stopped and questioned was a Daumann transport hauling Aluminium ore to Bretonia. We speeded up the process because we received orders from HQ to return back to New Berlin and ready for another mission.

When Hauptmann Rutger and me reached Bonn Station, we stopped a Freelancer Black Market Munitions smuggler. The transport pilot had some troubles with his communication array but we managed to overcome that. Pilot was very cooperational and dropped the Black Market Munitions after I told him to do so and destroyed them immediately.

After some repairs on communication relays and memory drives my ship is standing by to deal with any future threats to security and integrity of Rheinland space.

Für das Vaterland.

Feldwebel Maximilian Meyer abmeldung.

Kommandant!

Inbefore, I am terribly sorry that I have to send you yesterday's action report today. My Neural Net account was mailfunctioning.
Coming to the important now. Our wing, consisting of RM Punisher, RNC Luftwaffe, RNC Holstein and me, was patrolling Rheinland during our two-hours shift. We were looking for smugglers and scanned the traffic, which was mostly dominated by Junkers.

About fifteen minutes after the start of our shift, a Freelancer undocked from Hamburg. Seeing that he was sitting in a Wraith, we asked him how he got his fingers on Rheinland Military tech. The Freelancer babbled weirdly, so we strongly suggested him to change his ship. For that, he was escorted to New Berlin, where he gave the Wraith to a military storage and got a small transport which he liked.

Shortly after, Punisher and I were patrolling Stuttgart, where a Junker in a vessel called "Sunflower" interrupted our travel by lane. As we were about to question him about this suspicious behavior, the Sunflower flew away. We followed him to Darmstadt Base, where the criminals allowed the vessel to dock!
After a quick hide'n'seek game, we cought him in Dresden near Zwickau Depot.
He was fined for resistance and was put under close observation for the next weeks. Maybe the Polizei should have an eye on him, too.

But we had no rest. Already during the search for the "Sunflower", we detected SCRA vessels in Dresden. Unfortunatly, they were able to flee to the Omegas.
I decided it would be the best to let them run, instead of wasting ressources.
Long range scans later indicated higha ctivity in Omega 54, but our presence in Suttgart, Dresden and Omega 7 was appearently too high for them to cross our border.

After a short break, during which we were checking the traffic again, we cought a disorientated Freelancer with Libertonian weapons. He cooperated and stopped. Further scans revealed that this subject was using two IDs at the same time. He was fined and brought to Bonn where we took care of the grievance.

All in all, a pretty busy shift, Kommandant. The fines we got from the criminals were put in use for the military and the Rheinland Nation.

Für Rheinland!

Flieger Hegemann, end of battle report.

Today, a criminal vessel with the callsign "TeNik" was destroyed by U-201, who I assisted in doing so. The vessel transported Hessian illegally and did not hand them over as we were asking him to do that. After he ran off after not even responding to two warnings, the necessary steps were taken.

Kommandant!

I am reporting from Oder Shipyard, where my fighter is being repaired at the moment. The damage dealt to my Wraith stands in direct correlation with this report.

After having an emergency message recieved by a Bowex trader in Omega 3, I was present five minutes after the last transmission from said vessel. Unfortunatly, there were only remnants left at the gate to Omega 7, and close to it, a Freelancer. Unfortunatly, I could not ask him what has happened, since the bomber pilot was already in a fight with a Bretonian Battleship.

Because things added up (the Freelancer in a bomber, the transmission and the already started fight) was enough evidence to intercept. The battleship had great difficulity to deal with the bomber, due to its equicment.

After a short fight; the bomber was nearly down and ready to surrender; the Captain of the battleship was foolish enough to get the idea to test his big guns on the bomber again, but this time, the torpedo launcher. Thanks to miscalculation and directly flying behind the hostile bomber, the colateral damage hurt my fighter badly.

An ALG vessel brought my heavily damaged fighter to Oder. On the positive side, the bomber was completly wrecked in the blast. Still, I am curious about Bretonia's Captain training, which allowes them to do such folly.

As soon as my fighter is repaired again, I will be ready for duty once more.

Für Rheinland!

Flieger Hegemann, end of battle report.

Hello it's me again,

Today we had guests from Liberty in Hamburg and we, of course, treated them the way uninvited guests should be treated. In other words, we kindly showed them the way out. I didn't even bother to count their capital ships, I think I saw some dreadnoughts, one carrier and some little stuff that I can't even remember. And of course, some fighters and bombers as well.

We had, I don't know, some snubcraft of our own and very little capital ships as help. You could say that the odds were against us in the beginning. But that didn't stop us from defending our home from these pesky invaders.

Once they decided to kindly return to their dirty Liberty, we searched the asteroid fields for people that still didn't remember the way back. And instead we ran into some of these Hellfire Legion guys. In other words, a foreign military entity that was trespassing Rheinland. I took great pleasure in removing them with the help of Jakob Mohren, who was a capable wingman throughout the entire battle.

You can find the results here.

That's all for now.

~L. Kaiser

Guten abend,

Feldwebel Maximilian Meyer berichterstattung,

Patrol started rather fast today. After undocking from Battleship Strausberg I have soon received report from Police that construction ship has been sighted entering New Berlin system from Stuttgart. At Bonn station I was met by Polizeidirektor Laura Carsten and Detektiv Emile Olpenitz from the Police division. We have encountered the construction ship with civilian documents and carrying materials for constructing a new space instalation at Bonn Station. We questioned him about his intentions, destination and what was the pilot going to do with it. He explained us that the base was to be built in Border Worlds past Frankfurt system, towards Sigmas. On the way there he made two stops, one on Planet New Berlin and one on Mainz Station to buy more materials. When we were just about to enter the trade lane to Sigma-13 gate one unidentified train exited the trade lane from Sigma-13 gate direction and started moving at cruise speed towards behind the Planet Stulingen. We suspected that it might be a smuggler. Laura Carsten and me went into pursuit while leaving Emile Olpenitz to escort towards Sigma-13 gate. With faster ships we managed to intercept unidentified train and stop him behind the planet. After scanning the ship we determined that it was indeed smuggling ship transporting illegal Cardamine with civilian documents. We tried halting the transport and continuously distributed his engines so he couldn't escape but he had no intentions of stopping. A few kilometres later we managed to destroy the ship and stop him from escaping and selling his dangerous supstance to Rheinland civilians uninformed about the the consequences of it. After destruction of transport the cardamine left in space was destroyed as well.

Full logs of the construction ship encounter are as follows:

Kommandant!

Two days ago, HQ called me into Omega 7 to assist in destroying an illegally built base by IMG next to Freistadt base. Slowly, but constantly, our forces gathered to get enough firepower for the destruction of this installation. With the arrival of the RM Forseti, the Admiral was in command of the operation.
Since the station was also not built with the consensus of the IMG leadership, the Guild was helping us to destroy it, and supported the relation between their organisation and Rheinland by doing so. The IMG fleet was commanded by the Captain of the IMG Rockabill.
About half an hour later, the energy needed to get rid off the unwanted object was put together, and both fleets opened fire. The whole action was interrupted by two Hessian cruisers curiously enough showing up. Not a good choice, as you can see here.
Shortly after, all which was left behind from the former station was space dust.
The IMG fleet was escorted to Omega 3, where the Admiral thanked their leader by handing him the Flower of Rheinland over, as a sign of welcome cooperation.
Maybe this will be the start of a good relation between our forces.

Für Rheinland!

Kommandant!

Right after the beginning of my patrol shift yesterday night, strange contacts were
registered by our traffic system. Turned out that those contacts were three Blood Dragon vessel.
After chasing them to Dresden, I was only able to stop one BD pilot who got seperated.
After an honorable fight, which, may I add, lived up to Kusarian ways of batteling,
the vessel was destroyed ]and the pilot tractored into my Wraith. He was handed over to the Police on New Berlin for questioning and trial.
He said that he was part of a trading mission, which should have supplied a BD Base in Kusari with urgently needed food.
Unfortunatly, the other two contacts, one of them the transport, were able to get away to Omega 11, 41 and Omicron during the fight.

Afterwards, the patrol led me to New Berlin and Hamburg again. On the first stop, I had to control a Junker, who was about to use the Jumphole from Hamburg to New Berlin. Since this is suspicious behavior, I scanned him, but nothing irregular was found.

However, minutes later, another Junker appeared in front of Planet Hamburg. Filled with Cobalt, the Captain was honest, but also foolish, enough to say that his destination would be Pennsylvania in Liberty, when questioned.
I informed him about the embargo and fined the attempt to break it; he cooperated and flew back to New Berlin.

I had not even finished a cigarette after this, as another report came in. Appearently, a Zoner Carrier was spotted close to Vierlande Prison. The report was true. Together with RM-Punisher, we were easily able to drop its shield after denying any cooperation, and scratched him good.
Unfortunatly, a miracolous Ion Storm was brewing around his ship all of sudden, and disappeared in front of our noses. What a time to be alive.

The fine taken from the Junker was transferred to the nearest Police Station.

Flieger Hegemann, end of battle report.
