Coalition Recruitment Thread - Tabris - 07-17-2012

Nikita thought for a brief moment, his mind going back to his old schooling when he was younger before he answered the question put forth by the officer.

"Trotskyism advocates international proletarian revolution and unwavering support for a true dictatorship of the proletariat based on democratic principles, it unlike other forms isn't confined to simply Socialism in a single state, but a global or in our case, a Sector-Wide revolution. This is very similar to what the Coalition as we are spreading the revolution to all houses in some form or another, however it is only similar, not the same." he replied, Trotskyism wasn't his strongest area of study, but he knew some pieces about it from his memories from the state-funded school.

Still all he could do was wait for her to reply after thinking his answer over. He didn't touch the coffee as he would rather his nerves not get hyped up on caffeine while in a high-pressure situation...

"So you paid attention in school, that means you're not a complete idiot." Kyu stared at the untouched cup of coffee. "you know that it's rude to not accept something when somebody offers."She pressed a button and Alicia entered to take both cups away. "Just because you passed in school doesn't mean you're a good pilot. What makes you think that you'll be useful to the Fighter Corps, and not just a waste of ships?"

Nikita did not react when the cup was taken away and he was asked yet another question. When he answered he did so with total and complete honesty.

"I may or may not be a good pilot, however according to the State the Fighter Corps has the best training regimen in the Sirius Sector, early on I may make mistakes, however as time marches on and I learn from those who have experience in the field any flaws will fade away, the Coalition's Fighter Corps receives another Pilot as well as continues the good fight against those who would see us destroyed, I fulfill both my patriotic duty and my moral duty to Sirius." he stated.

"I will not give you any bullocks reasons, as you said before, your not here for a novel." he commented with a serious frown on his face.

Kyu rolled her eyes "Hai, we can train you, you will make mistakes. Mistakes kill people. In the end we would have spent ships, resources, and human lives on you, and then you wont get it. Training means nothing if you don't have HEART!" On the last word, Kyu kicks the desk which hits Nikita, sending him to the floor. Kyu wasted no time grabbing the tanto and jumping over the desk, pinning Nikita to the floor. "If you lack the motivation, training means nothing! The entire revolution can come crashing down from one bad pilot! Now show me!" She pressed the tanto to his throat "Show me that you have the heart and the willingness to fight for the revolution, even at the cost of your life!"

Nikita grunted harshly as the table hit him and sent him to the floor, he didn't have a real chance to react due to the shock-awe maneuver she had pulled just now. He didn't even try to move when she pulled a Tanto on him and aimed it at his throat. He was hardly surprised at the blade-happy woman's behavior, when she finished her miniature rant he raised an eyebrow, she wanted to know if he would die for the cause.

He gave a very small chuckle. "And how do you expect me to do that while you are threatening to take that very life away?" he asked, throwing her words right back at her. "If I am to die here and now it's not dying for the Revolution, proving oneself requires a true test, showing his or her comrades in the field that they are willing to sacrifice it all, that is not what your doing here, what this is...Is useless violence that only serves those who would seek to topple the Coalition by depriving it of manpower without even lifting a finger...You say you want proof of my willingness to fight for the cause...I say let me prove it to you and the rest of Sirius that the Coalition's will is strong and stands firm in the face of the enemy...The only question here is thus...Will you let me prove myself...Or not?" he asked calmly, his mind was another story entirely, a constant mantra of 'I'm Going to Die!' repeated itself over and over within his skull as he stared down the Officer calmly...Waiting for the blade or the woman to make their move...

Kyu showed a sly grin and put the tanto back in its sheath. She stood up, then pulled Nikita to his feet. "You don't turn into a blubbering baka when you face death, that's good." She walked over to the desk and pulled out a stack of papers. "Take these, go to the cafeteria, and wait to be called over the intercom" She threw the stack at Nikita and waved for him to leave.

By order of the Sirius Coalition High Command, the new recruitment process is to be discontinued and the old one returned to service. As the Fighter Corps commanders realized, pilots applying through the new system failed to display the levels of dedication and capability expected from soldiers of the Revolutionary Army. With the return of our Ikon of Ikons, Alvin Katz, we return to our old methods which have been proven to root out the weak, allowing for only the best to become members of the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army.

From this moment on, applicants are no longer allowed to send application through the neural net. Instead, they are to find the Coalition Peoples Warship Trotsky and land within its hangars. From there, you will be directed to the recruitment offices that are housed within. The location of the Trotsky can be found by tuning into this frequency. From there, we trust you will be smart enough to be able to track a basic signal with minimal encryption.

Service in the Revolutionary Army is not for everyone. Should you fail to display the necessary knowledge and ability that is required you will be denied and sent on your way. Should you be particularly ignorant and waste the recruiting officers time, then you will be shot and thrown out the airlock. Ensure you possess a basic knowledge of the Sirius Coalition and its Revolutionary Army before attempting to join it.

That is all.

Greetings to all Coalition leaders. My name is Alexander, but you can call me Comrade Macan. For some time i have been willing to join the SCRA. Now i have gathered the courage to fight for a cause greater than myself. I pledge my ship, my skill, my life, to see socialist equality spread across the Sirius sector. And unite humanity in the struggle against the Nomad threat. I will await for your reply with eagerness. Macan out.

RE: Coalition Recruitment Thread - Aphil - 05-25-2013

Joseph Garcia was sifting through his messages when he spotted a message from someone who referred to himself as "Comrade Macan".

Garcia frowned and began typing out his reply.

"Alexander, if you have the courage you say that you do then you are to come to the Trotsky IN PERSON rather than send a message. I see that you may have potential that can be realized in time so I am not immediately denying your application. I suggest you step up your game if you truly wish to be a part of the Revolutionary Army."

With that, Garcia sent out the message. He hoped that the recruit was smart enough to heed his instructions instead of sending another message.
