Now I'm wiling to entertain the idea, but it better be seriously effin' deep. Something that 'grew' from Disco Lore naturally - otherwise it's just another import. If you say "it used to exist - so it should again" - then give me back the bloody Spatial, Mafic, or Spyglass. Or make my Pilgrim black & red again. No - I mean this thing (if you're gonna ignore all the broken crap on the floor amongst the cigarette butts and shattered glass of half-finished 'great ideas' anyway) better be a friggin' V8 moment - like WHAM! "Of course, why didn't I think of this?" Cause, srsly, if this new Phoom thing makes any kind of sense at all besides OP killers with paper thin RP, I'll back it till the cows come home. If not, you can expect a helluva lot more people than just me being pist about it. I was here when the decision was made to disband the Phantoms. We all said good bye, Virus went on to focus on other things. It sucked. But I understood. I miss my 'drunken monkey' RC and the real ability to add some RP to the player experience, however... I am not really gung ho on the thought of bringing them back. Certainly not under the current ideas that I have seen. I am sorry, but I just don't see the value of it. There are factions on Disco that have a place... and many of them have to be 'earned'. I have always agreed with that. I have always supported the Admins and other Server Teams, as I could. But you asked for input. It is a bad idea. Do not, please, do not, relegate the Phantoms to 'just another faction'. I think someone said something about giving the Nomads a tune up... I actually prefer that idea. I also like the idea of working in more ship models. Let them rest in agony, people. Just let them go. Just my two cents. Be well.
