MESSAGE TO: IND Epsilons.

COMM ID: Jay

Little bit of a flap in RM space earlier, and the usual foot stamping from their slightly zealous officers ...
Seems ship registry papers are being checked with some thoroughness slightly above the call of duty
concerning law abiding citizens ...
Those of you considering swapping out your IDs for something a little less restrictive for those odd
moonlighting jobs I know you slip in from time to time might consider the 'freelancer' option, as the
'm' word seems a little dirty there at the moment.

To the Execs, seems the trading gods have seen fit to bless us with a handy little bit of an opportunity
to those who like the odd bit of a toke from time to time ... Answers in a personal memo please.
Bar is open 24/7 as usual, keep patronizing it please.
That is all.

Jay

MESSAGE TO: Ivor

COMM ID: Jay

Sorry old chap, paperwork got the better of me as usual ... The request for the disabled parking bay
has been processsed, and the cockpit sticker is in your tray. There should be a personal transport
module there for your use at all times.
Keys for the executive washrooms are behind the bar as always, see Sophie. First bacon sandwich
and beer on me ...
The insurance side has been looked into, and unfortunately pre-existing conditions are a little sticky
on the medical cover part of things, on your own on that one matey. All other cover seems to be fine,
though collision damage excess payments have been set a little higher for you ...
The 'getting caught' clause as usual is in effect ... So don't.
Welcome to the fold ...

Jay.

Gov,

Sophie's probably already let the cat out of the bag.... after my forced retirement on Gran Canaria, I figured the LPI has cooled its heals sufficiently that I can ease myself back into the tradelanes without being noticed.

The bad news is my Train seems to have gone missing -- probably drifted right off the mooring docks, thanks to those airhead Zoners who run the place. And sadly the Lass was impounded by the LPI permanently. The only thing I could get my hands on such short notice was some piddling thing, wouldn't even survive the trip through O-49.

The good news is I found someone to bankroll me a new ship. It's a filthy tub of a vessel, great big garbage scow they threw together in Cambridge. But it gets the job done. So I'm back in business.

Now I see prices have all shifted... bloody economic recovery... so I'm still looking for some good trade routes.

Oh yeah, don't tell Sophie my retirement was "forced"... she still thinks I'm pure as the driven snow.

Eh, Pete! Sophie just told me you're flying around again, took you damn long enough to make your way back here. You setting yourself up alright? Jay's probably being damn greedy and won't give ya a loan, eh? Thought it would be something like that. Got a place on Curacao, swing by, could give ya a few bucks if you need it.

But anyway, meet me in the bar sometime! I'll buy ya a drink.

Derek, me old china-plate! Nice to hear from you. Comms channels getting a bit quiet there... money's ok, didn't take long to get back on my feet. That's [IND] for you -- the old Midas touch and that. This old bucket of bolts I'm flying is a little out of date, the systems aren't as automated as I'm used to. So I've had to hire meself a crew.

Oi! Back to work. I'm not paying you bludgers to sit around.

Sorry... where was I? Oh yeah, I got a loner from "a bloke in a pub", as they say. Unfortunately there was a tiny string attached. I have to make a run out to, shall we say "parts unknown", with a load of new those fertilizers of all things. Oh my god what a stink! Still, goes well with the rusty-plating decor of the ship.

Stop buggering around back there, godammit! It's always fun till someone loses an eye.

I think I can bend my route back to NY enough to take in the sights of Curacao... anything you need me to specially bring back?

Eh, how 'bout heading down to Curacao for a bit? I got a place down there, brilliant beach view, not sure how Gabrielle would feel about it though... And...

*pause*

Ok, better yet, we'll stick to the bar shall we? Nothing I need from anywhere 'round your parts though, got a few doing the dirty work, hell going to be getting my Brother in the business soon if I get my way! Just bring the usual drinking glass, I'll handle the rest. I'm sure Sophie would love to see me actually drinking with someone else.

Seya in space, if I ever get off my butt that is...

Ok Derek, I get the picture... you're ashamed of your old pal Pete *sobs*

Rightio, Newark it is then. I had to resist the temptation to bring a load of "unmentionables" back from the "parts unknown"... the profit would've been fantastic, but likely would've landed me straight back into "forced retirement". Oh well.

Anway, I'm just coming in now-- What the f... Outcast pirates RIGHT IN FRONT ON MANHATTAN!!! Where the bloody hell is LPI???!!!"

Good to see you Pete! It's been a while since I heard stories about you. As soon as I get back from doing one of those Questionable runs, which you just mentioned, I'll sit down with ya for a few hours. My daughter, Andrea is currently in the Omicrons, so she wont be able to join us.

Ooo, what luck that message just hit my comm unit! So, Andrea's hanging around in the Omicrons is she? Mmm, where's that Raven Claw of mine, have those waypoints to set.

*pauses*
*Derek looks at who sent the transmission*

"Aaron Verginix"

Oh! Mr. Verginix! I mean uhhh. Err... NO! I didn't mean I would bed h... I mean, I won't, ya know, to her... Ooo!

*Derek is heard screaming over his comm device: "EH! Sophie! Who's the blonde that just walked by!?"*
