Good day to all who read this,
I know it's not really suited for all layers of the hierarchy, but I'd like to say "Hi" and "Thank you!" for having me! I completed my training a few hours ago and have fully joined the R&D department now. I'd like to report that the newest ship in the fleet is partially supplied and ready to go on its first assignment. Details follow:

I'm currently putting together the most essential scientific equipment and will be picking up a team of astrophysicists from planet Cambridge, who expressed a desire to man the sensors for a couple of weeks in exchange for some free time on that same sensors studying certain space phenomena.

If there is anything that the Event Horizon can help with, feel free to contact me on this channel. I am also expecting a call from the R&D head of operations and I hope this self-initiative does not go against any running projects.

    • Todays sortie was brief, but I managed to nail a prick of a Hacker. Seems they've developed a means to instantly cloak as they jump through a jumpgate. Never mind, despite his need to use dirty tactics he was easy to outwit and I caught him at the Colorado JH in New York, up behind Rochester Station. He was a silent type as he obviously knew what was coming for him, and in the end a weapons malfunction caused his vessel to explode before I could even raise a sweat. Once he was down, I received a warning that a storm was inbound so made for dock back at my post. Hopefully I can get a bonus out of this!

Most fascinating readings. We have always been concerned with pilots' reports of hyper-advanced technology far beyond our current capabilities. While this is often attributed to storms that have blocked all attempts at analysis, it appears that some vessels have harnessed the ability to manipulate perfectly undetectable cloaks of indefinite duration and scans of pinpoint accuracy, spanning the entirety of Sirius, at will. Please be sure to forward your onboard instrument data as soon as possible.

    • I got instructions from HQ today to seek out a potential new threat to security out near Colorado. A new Rogue clan has been noted to have formed under [UA] callsign. So far ships have ranged from Bulldogs to Scyllas, and yesterdays skirmish must have unsettled the pen pushers enough to warrant a bounty on them. My mission today was to deliver that message.

      I left Toronto and headed East to Colorado jump anomaly and jumped through and arrived out behind Pueblo Station, roughly 17k to it's West. I made headway for the station and docked with the tradelane to New York jumpgate. Halfway down the lane, my target was spotted. He dropped the lane, and so respectively I decided now was the perfect time to deliver the message.

      During this brief encounter, he fled to the middle of Copperton Field upon which a jump anomaly was discovered. I followed the Bulldog through and discovered it landed us in Cassini, where I subsequently lost him. I'd heard the rumors of this place being a crap house but I didn't find it all that bad until I lost bearing in a cloud in the West of the system. Here another anomaly was discovered which I took and it landed me in Alberta, roughly 77k from the build site. This is not good news, as it means extra patrols need to be factored in.

      As it is, I achieved the mission objective and our terms were laid. We won't let some petty criminals stop the might of Liberty's economy!

    • In light of my mission earlier, I was instructed to head back out and see what else I could find in and around the Cassini jump anomaly in Alberta. I jumped through and found I was in close proximity of a [UA] Bulldog, [UA]Muffel. I watched it flee and it proceeded to dock a new installation near an asteroid with rigging sticking out of it. Seems the Rogues intend to establish a base within striking distance of our project site. Following guncam footage shows a silent engaging Scylla undocking from the facility and engaging my gunboat.

      I believe this base needs the attention Deep Space Engineerings deconstruction team. I am hereby recommending the use of Jumpin'Jack and Bouncin'Betty in this venture.

I transported a few loads of reinforced alloy to DISP from the junker base rochester this morning, on the way back i took consumer goods from pittsburgh since rochester always seems to need more, here is the proof as requested, though i seem to have missed the first trip there and back, and in the end i had to stop at baltimore as i was waylayed by some rheinlanders before being rescued by two DSE) escorts that turned up in the nick of time.

Included are two of the people who i wondered across while transporting goods, a rather distracted rogue and an unnamed pilot who was searching for a lost friend, drama is thick and rich in liberty when one merely looks in the right places.

All in all almost 30,000 reinforced alloy was taken to DISP.

Was assigned today to survey the lane network in the Colorado System as one of my final graduation tasks. Started at Kepler Jumpgate and made my way to Battleship Rio Grande. The lane was in good working order so I began my survey of the lane from Battleship Rio Grand to Pueblo Station upon which was another straight forward operation. I then began surveying the Pueblo Station to New York Jumpgate lane upon which I discovered on the fourth link down that there was significant blaster scouring upon the middle four brackets. I undertook some tests and they came up positive for particle cannon damage. I carried on down to the next link and came into contact with a shady character by the name of Business.Ethics, donning an LR- tag and flying a Z-8550 train. He promptly asked me for a drink, then booze then finally tobacco. I managed to convince him to allow me to finish my survey on the false pretense I was going to bring him some tobacco off Pittsburgh. Finally I finished the survey to New York Jumpgate and then commenced a survey along the lane from New York Jumpgate to Planet Denver, lane was in good working order and so I moved onto the lane to Galileo Jumpgate. Both the lanes were in good working orders so I rode the lane back to Planet Denver and then surveyed the lane from Planet Denver to Battleship Rio Grande and again, that lane was in good working order. I took the lanes back to Baltimore and that is where I finished my shift.

Greetings DSE President and fellow DSE pilots. I am the new recruit to DSE. I am Major Chris Tucker, former LSF Fighter Wing Pilot. Some of you may have seen my applications other may have not. If you have any questions feel free to ask me.

I would just like to report that myself and DSE)Star.Lifter have made a few runs to our bases within Alberta. I have supplied Platinum Incorperated with.

1080 Food and Water, and 2165 of Oxygen. I also have now delivared two lots of Reinforced Alloys. Which adds up to a total off 4220 of reinforced alloy.

I am unsure of the total amount John the pilot of Star Lifter has delivared. But he has supplied Rutherford Spaceport in his Mastadon Transports.

There were no guncam images or receipts saved during this run, I hope that is not a problem. I am now heading back to Planet Pittsburgh where I need to refuel and get some rest.

My patrol timer is now calculating a rough time of five hours and twenty minutes flight time.
