Patrol Report 152826

Feldwebel Ehrenberg reporting on routine transit patrol of Neu Berlin system.

Approaching Neu Berlin, I encountered a civilian ID Bustard, designation "Marder." I attempted to initiate a transit stop, but before our wing could close the distance to the target, the vessel disappeared - appearing to have made us of a Jump Drive, exact specifications unknown. Active scanners indicated the presence of illegal munitions aboard, but a closer examination was not possible. I recommend that forces in the the area be notified of possible Jump-drive incursions by this named vessel.

Following this incident, we continued to operate in the area - performing several routine stops on passing vessels. No contraband or violations were found. During this phase of the patrol, a vessel bearing the transponder code "Oceanite_Tempete", was spotted attempting to bypass our checkpoint. As long range scans indicated the presence of illegal cargo on board, I ordered the trader to stop and initiated pursuit. We caught up with the suspect at Essen Station, where the captain of the vessel was able to offload his cargo. In accordance with legal code 2.2.1, I issued a warning to the trader, and provided a copy of our laws to prevent any misunderstandings in the future. I recommend further monitoring of this call sign, should it be sighted in Rheinland space again.

I continued my patrol, via the Jump Gates in-system, finding no issues. Returning to Neu Berlin, we encountered a vessel [ND]TV-Bodhi, captained by one Sun Kokoen. Initiating a standard transit stop, we found no illegal cargo - however, some anomalous energy readings were detected. I therefore performed an extensive close-range scan of the vessel, and discovered the vessel was equipped with a Cloaking device, in violation of legal code 2.2.2.4. Additionally, some questionable modifications were made to its engines, for which the captain was warned. The captain admitted to not having a licence for the cloaking device, and was therefore ordered to pay a 10 million SC. fine.

In addition, both the equipment's power cells and the device itself were confiscated. During the course of the stop, the suspect was cooperative throughout - additionally voluntarily providing the information included below, to update our records.

Quote:Ms. Sun Kokoen; age: twenty-eight (28); height: 5 foot, 9 inches; a Kusari native originating from Junyo.

Following the conclusion of this transit stop, and the arrival of several Marinenachrichtendienst vessels to take over security duties in Neu Berlin orbit, we concluded our patrol and the wing returned to base.

Hochachtungsvoll,
Feldwebel Reinhardt von Ehrenberg

Jeff.Einzbern reporting on routine transit patrol of Neu Berlin system.

When I was on a routine patrol in New Berlin, I met a Freelancer named "John.Decker." He was driving an armed transport ship and scanning over a long distance to show that there were artifacts on board. I ordered the merchant to stop and start hunting. The suspect docked at the Dortmund space station, where he sold his illegal goods. In accordance with laws and regulations, I warned the merchant and provided a copy of our law to prevent any misunderstanding in the future. I suggest to monitor this call sign further if it appears again in Rhine space.

Following the conclusion of this transit stop, and the arrival of several Marinenachrichtendienst vessels to take over security duties in New Berlin orbit, I concluded my patrol and the wing returned to base.

Patrol Report 152839

Today as the RPS-Wachau took off of New Berlin the intent was to keep a close eye on the surrounding area as increased smuggerly activity especially in regards to Black Market munitions and other contraband has been turning in to an issue in the New Berlin system.
The first vessel identified was the Firenzo under supposed Corse affiliation. After ordering the vessel to stop, which was being complied with, a full load of Black Market Munitions was spotted on the vessel. According to the laws of Rheinland the posession of Black Market Munitions are illegal under §2.1., as such the Trader was ordered to drop the cargo and to pay a standard fine of 5 million SC. While the trader complied with the dropping of their cargo from the cargohold they refused to pay the fine and started to try and escape after they had been made aware of the consequences of their actions.
The destruction of the Firenzo was the result.
Due to these circumstances the captain of the Wachau would recommend a more stringent controll of Corse affiliated ships in the future to make sure that no further attempts are being made to cross the line of Rheinland law. While it would be possible to assume all vessels affiliated with this faction to be of ill intent it might also be a single black sheep in the family in this case. Though should more issues of this kind arise harsher measures might have to be taken.

After this the RPS-Wachau took up station again at Planet New Berlin. This position had to be broken after it became clear that a trader with the designation of BMF|Fulgrim.Phoenecian was being followed by a suspected pirate with the designation Red.Rhein in the Stuttgart system. Initial telemetry data indicated that the trading vessel would not be able to stay ahead of the suspected pirate. As such the RPS-Wachau was given the order to move from Planet New Berlin to the Stuttgart jump gate in the New Berlin System.
Exiting the tradelane the pirate was already trying to make monetary concessions off of the trader to leave their cargo alone. Seeing the situation a quick decision was necessary and thus the order to engage was given so that the trader would have time to disengage and flee from the site of battle so as to guarantee their security.
The pirate vessel was engaged and kept in the area via the liberal use of cruise disruptor missiles. Even so the trader had to be reminded to leave the area for their own safety as the pirate was repeatedly trying to disengage from the RPS-Wachau and to destroy the trading vessel.
Once the trading vessel had left the combat area the pirate vessel was successfully destroyed.

While it seemed that the trader was willing to part with some of their wealth as a show of gratitude towards a job well done this had to be kindly rejected as no upstanding officer of Rheinland could accept a reward for simply doing their duty. Knowing that the trade lanes are safe once again and the nice paycheck from the government are enough for anyone.

Signing off,
Wilhelm Richter
RPS-Wachau.

Patrol Report 152840

Guten Tag Meine Herren,

Today the RPS-Wachau has been sortieing again to keep Rheinland safe from Smugglers, Pirates and other scum. While this day has been mostly uneventfull there have been two instances that need to be brought to the attention of higher ups.
The first is a case of seeing a Junkers with the designation "Denebola" smuggeling Cardamine threw Rheinland. Sadly the RPS-Wachau was not able to intercept this vessel as it had been a little too slow while hunting for the Corse - Roubaix who had been caught smuggeling Black Market Munitions. After some calculations had been made it was clear that said smuggler was attempting to move from the New Berlin Jumphole to the Frankfurt system and thus an intercept course was set.
Once contact was established again in the Frankfurt system the Smuggler was offered the chance to stop his ship and be processed as smugglers usually are in Rheinland.
Due to the failure to comply the smuggler was notified that further contact would lead to direct combat if he failed to comply. Sadly he clearly decided to continue with his actions and decided to insult the Rheinland police force instead.
As such the captain of this vessel recommends to at least keep a close eye on any corse affiliated ships in Rheinland due to this being the second incident already. While a full on ban and hostile actions upon finding corse affiliated ships in Rheinland space would be preferential it would be too early for this action at this point.

Signing off,
Wilhelm Richter
RPS-Wachau.

ENCRYPTION: CLASSIFIED
PRIORITY: HIGH

Guten Abend, Hanns Degrotte reporting, I was flying the Munich with Wachau, I joined when Wachau requested help on a known smuggler camping at a JG (Berlin to Frankfurt). We quickly resolved the problem with his death. However, while sitting in Berlin, we found a trader by name of Nathyrra, who was carrying military vehicles. This ship was IDed as a junker, the ship itself was a Albatros class vessel. The ship had no license to do so. Wachau told them to drop the cargo and pay a 2 million fine. The ship dropped the cargo but refused to pay the fine. We open fired but the ship was able to do a emergency dock. About 5 mins later, the ship appeared again and made a run for it, this time it made it to Hamburg before leaving again. We failed to capture this smuggler

Patrol Report 152846

Guten Tag,

Flieger Hartmut Mueller reporting in. Going out on a patrol there were news of pirate activity in the Frankfurt system coming threw the grapevine and as such this Flieger moved out to see if they could find anything.
Once the search started in the Frankfurt system the target moved on to the Munich system, as such a new sweep was declared in the Munich system.
During this sweep a base designated as "Styria Cooperate" which was clearly hostile to the Rheinland Military was spotted in the D2 sector in the Munich system. Roughly in the south-west of the sector.

Sadly the remainder of the patrol remained unsuccessfull in finding the pirate signature and a following engagement with the Hessians where this Flieger had to bail out meant that only one picture was salvagable from the wreckage. Said piece of information can be found in the attachments.

Flieger Hartmut Mueller signing off.

It came to my attention that there was a Large Transport running with blood diamonds and was trying to avoid the use of lanes.
With the support of Admirals we were able to stop and remove the threat. Once we managed to stop them near planet Hamburg we were forced to remove them by force and it was done!

Patrol Report 1003826

While engaged in routine inspections of the new Navigational grid control systems on New Berlin, an emergency alert was issued by Rheinwehr patrols operating nearby in the New Berlin system. Against the advice of my staff officer, I immediately departed with a bomber of the Falkengraf's complement.

Acting on the oberservations of officers on site, I ordered the immediate cordoning of the system, beginning in the last known area of the target - believed to be entering New Berlin from the area of the Dresden wormhole. Patrols then swept north - concluding that the wanted persons had fled to Hamburg, Elsass was diverted, while our patrol eventually pursued the targets to an area near Planet Hamburg - where the escaping ships were intercepted by the RNC-Elsass.

The target refused to comply; accordingly the order to open fire was given, and the Bustard class vessel LR-Padua's.Renaissance was swiftly dispatched. In particular, the conduct of Gefreiter Randolf von Houton is to be noted; is recent addition to the first fleet was clearly warranted. During the course of the engagement, the escort ship Adrenaline.Rush was able to tractor the escape pods from the bustard, and fled toward Hudson.

While the Elsass disengaged, patrol pursued the target until it escaped via the anomaly connecting to Texas. I am recommending the observatory Fahndung for this vessel. Patrol proceeded to return to base without further incident.

Bericht Ende.

Hochachtungsvoll,
Konteradmiral Reinhardt von Ehrenberg

Beginning of patrol In New Berlin I come a cross a pilot named Mr.Torgue. Freelancer ID and IFF. I asked him to standby for a cargo bay inspection. He was carrying Some Military and Police pilots. He said he would hand them over as he wished not to cause a problem. After I let him carry on. When I came across him again in the Stuttgart system he was acting a bit odd so it raised some red flags so i proceeded to follow him and find out. When he spotted me he took off really quick. I found him in the Cologne System where I notice what looked like he had stopped a IDF pilot from moving his goods. When he saw me enter the system he proceeded to take off in a hurry so it raised more red flags I then followed him He had no contraband on him but he was behaving a bit odd. At the same time KAdm.R.v.Ehrenberg Came with a Wraith and keep close tabs on him. Later we both agreed he was up to something but we couldn't do much. In my Honest Opinion he should be placed on our watch list as he soon could begin to cause problems with in our find land and could begin to harm our fine Citizens

While on patrol to Munich I noticed near Planet Nuremberg that there was a Liberty Gunboat. Quite along way from home. Upon seeing it advised the pilot and his boss [ThC]Col.LeeBlair that the Ship [ThC]ManiaC was an illegal vessel with in Rheinland Space and must leave right away and that i would escort him out of our space. At first they didn't won't to cooperate and i gave then a warning not to disobay orders from the Military It took some time but i was able to escort them to them to the Hudson System where I reminded Both [ThC]Col.LeeBlair and [ThC]ManiaC that a Liberty Gunboat is a war vessel and is illegal with in Rheinland Borders and that they are not to return to Rheinland space and if they did they would be met with force.

They agreed not return.
