Liberty Forces Message dump - CorrupteD - 10-09-2008 ***Incoming Transmission*** Opening Message ID:LSF(fl) Black 11 Reporting from my Missouri quarters yesterdays' events. Yesterday,it was a normal day as any other would be.Day started off with a chill patrol in the Texas system, where i encountered a Rogue pirate Train, his ship was nullified, without question. Then,I,along with some Navy fighter pilots, ran into a known Outcast.Fight took a while,3 Navy pilots were annihilated and one fled(RL issues). After i engaged,we recieved a message stating that a rogue Gunboat is approaching our position.4 fighters couldnt've stood a chance against the Gunboat.Fortunatly for us,the LNS-Nevada was orbiting Manhattan and we called in for backup.Gunboat was destroyed,Outcast dissapeared. A patrol then in California was initiated, with no smugglers or pirates being spotted. It was a relaxing day for the Californians, untill a dangerous hacker arrived. He created an illusion, thus making us think we actually were fighting him when he dissapeared. After the California patrol, our patrol cought a smuggler who....ejected before we could catch him. After that,we went to guard Z21,seeing as we recieved a message regarding some travelers into the Zone.We eventually found out that a Bounty hunter Gunship wouldnt accept the fact that he was not allowed in there.Ship was nullified. And that sort of wraps up the day of yesterday. This is LSF Black 11 signing out. END Message ***Ending Transmission*** Liberty Forces Message dump - Gorva - 10-09-2008 ***Incoming Transmission*** Opening Message ID: Recruit Sam Tex Reporting from the Norfolk facilities, dry dock. I reported in and started a standard learn the patrol routes, as with any new recruit. Some where after mid shift, I was order to join with another officer. I formed up and we proceeded along the trade lanes. We were ordered to join the LNF-Blackdawn who was monitoring what at first glance was pirates. The LNF-Blackdawn was in communication with the 2 rogues that in fact turned out to be Outcast LNF-Blackdawn ordered an attack. After a bit of dog fighting a third ship moved in. I caught a strafing fire from it. My ship was badly damaged and I was soon forgotten. I then managed to limp back to Norfolk where I now await repairs. Once the repairs are complete, I will return to Duty. ***end Message*** Liberty Forces Message dump - SevereTrinity - 10-09-2008 [Incoming Transmission] [Comm ID: Vice Admiral Stephanie Malaign] [Target: Liberty Forces] First off, you guessed it, I'm back, though I will be resigned mostly to office duty until I have regained my fighter skills, seems I'm a bit rusty after my vacation, nothing a few rounds in the simulators won't fix. Secondly, I would most definitely like to know who these LNF are, as I have never heard of this part of the Navy, and they seem to have command, considering they are assigning orders about. Also, as one of my first acts coming back, I would like to promote Jack Malrone and David Hastings to Sub Lieutenants, from their original posting of Recruit. [End Transmission] Liberty Forces Message dump - AceofSpades - 10-09-2008 Opening Comms Begin Transmission ID: Lt. Zachary Ryans Regarding the LNF, vice admiral, it appears they are similar to the LNS in ideal, however they make use of smaller ships. I have recieved NO confirmation that they have authority over the situation, and while they have thusly far been very respectable and helpful I have heard little of them in Sirius' Information (forums). End Transmission Closing Comms Liberty Forces Message dump - TDLdark - 10-09-2008 ****Incoming Transmission**** ----ID: Lt. Mike Ypsilantis---- Hmm, it has come to my attention that some question over the LNF has occurred. Just to shine the light on the darkness, apparently, LNF stands for Liberty Naval Fighter. ****End Transmission**** Liberty Forces Message dump - Asgardian - 10-10-2008 **Incoming Coded Transmission** **Decode Algorithm 4-A997-B** **Decoding...Complete** >>[LN]-Jack.Malrone<< --Message Reads as Follows-- Thank you Vice-Admiral for the promotion, this promotion is only further motivation in my effort to protect Liberty. The following report compiles the last two days of work. A couple of days ago, the Order once again launched an attack on Liberty, however seeing as it was but one battleship that came, i suspect he was acting alone. The threat was soon neutralized with no apparent loss of friendly life. A little while later i encountered a Mercenary in New York, but he seemed not to be harming anyone, and it looked as it was leaving anyhow. In accordance with that, I didn't order him to leave, however i was about to get a rude awakening. I went to California to check on a known Smuggler, Astronomical, when the Mercenary hailed me and asked me if i knew Merc's were banned from Liberty. The cheek! I wasn't going to stand up to this coming from a Mercenary, so i politely asked him to leave, at which he replied "You gunna make me?" As you can see, i quickly realized where this was headed, and as i was about to power up engines, the mercenary shot a Supernova squarely at my ship. Shields were down instantaneously, one more shot from that thing, and i was a goner. Using the skill taught to me in the Academy, i was easily able to dodge his weapons fire, and terminate him. After encountering the Mercenary, i was called to another incident in the California system where two [Maf] pirates were attacking Naval officers. Myself and other Liberty Navy officers were aided by some DarkWings who had already engaged the targets. The fight was long and drawn out, and just when we thought we had the last Maf, another one had come. Long range scanners also picked up an Outcast Destroyer heading directly for us, and given the damage we had taken, we were no match for it. We attempted to put down the last Maf's before the destroyer came but were unable to. The destroyer quickly moved in and slaughtered all the lawfuls there. I managed to dodge it's fire, but only to be hit by two Supernovas (or so i am told by other officers in the battle, i was knocked unconscious shortly after). Luckily i managed to eject, and a nearby gunboat tractored my escape pod in. I remained unconscious through the night, and woke up the next day good as new, the doctor told me i was lucky to have sustained only minor injuries. I reported for duty, and thought i must still have a concussion, there was no way so many smugglers could be in Liberty at one time! One after the other, they all attempted to smuggle their illegal goods into Liberty, but nearly all failed, and ALL paid their dues either with their life or with a fine. Astronomical was first, hauling artifacts, however he complied fully with my orders to stop, drop the cargo and pay the fine. Unfortunately, this would be the last of the 'easy' smugglers. Logan Grimnar, a new name to smuggling attempted to evade being caught by not using the trade lanes to Manhatten, a useless countermeasure. I saw him going to Manhatten, and took the trade lanes straight there, and met him half-way. He didn't respond to hails, and was fast approaching the planet. Myself and another Navy officer opened fire on his ship, and he sustained heavy damage before making a hasty landing on Manhatten. I doubt his ship made it through the atmosphere in one piece, as we received word from Manhatten Space Control that ship debris had been picked up in the Gilledean Ocean on Manhatten. Tobias Vaughn was the next one i picked up near Zone-21, however i gave him the benefit of the doubt, and didn't shoot him on sight. I ordered him to drop his cargo and pay the fine, which took him AGES to do. He was likely stalling for backup to arrive; which it never did. The next smuggler proved to be the dumbest of them yet, the [OTC] tagged smuggler failed to heed to my warnings to halt, drop the cargo and pay the fine. Instead, he proceeded to fire on me, at which point i returned fire with the full force of my weapons. Backup came in the form of LNF-Derek.Applegate and many other Naval officers. Hopefully this will teach him not to smuggle again, however i seriously doubt it. After all the smugglers were dealt with, a rogue by the name of Lovac was encountered in Texas space, he was in a heavily armed pirate bomber, and so i retreated to Battleship Mississippi for her to provide cover fire. As the Rogue approached, i was shocked to learn that Mississippi was having a critical reactor failure at the time, and all weapons were offline, just my luck. He approached me, then immediately opened fire with an unknown type of weapon, it obliterated my shields in one hit, and left me wide open for an attack. I initiated evasive manoeuvres, however the Rogue left shortly afterwards. The day came to a weird end after asking two transports to halt. They both carried gate/lane parts, and thinking back to Liberty law, i remembered that they could only be held by Ageria Licensed personnel. After asking repeatedly for them to drop the cargo, an LPI officer came by and ordered that i let them both go, or else. I was shocked at this blatent disregard for house security by the LPI officer, and ordered him to stand down at once. He did not, and the situation was about to get explosive, i requested my C.O at the time (Lt. Matt Pregur) have a word with them about the goods. Both transports fled, and i pursued, and then the LPI officer engaged me! I quickly returned fire, as did Agatron, another Naval officer. Thankfully Lt. Matt Pregur was on the scene very quickly, and brought things under control. One transport dropped the cargo, however the other one fled back to New York, at which point we lost him. The gate/lane parts were returned to Detroit Munitions for delivery back to Ageria HQ. Day Summary:
Note: Camera systems on my ship were down, so no shots could be taken of the offenders [Report Terminated] --Message End-- **Connection Terminated** Liberty Forces Message dump - Contaan - 10-10-2008 --Incoming Transmission-- --Message Encrypted-- --Decoding-- --Message Decoded-- Sender: Recruit Galen Anderson A disturbing day for all of Liberty today, however a day with many victories with Liberty. I began my day by patrolling around Planet Houston, scanning for any offenders that try to breach the Embargo with Rheinland. Today was a fairly calm day around Houston with no blockade runners, so I began to patrol New York. I was disturbed to find a Keeper has entered New York and attacked us. Several officers including Darkmoor, Gunner and Kreagan along with Guardian.059, DW-LordREV and [BHG]Claxton joined the fight, trying to eliminate the Keeper. The latter group was ordered to leave the fight, making it a slightly more dangerous. I was awarded the kill for the Keeper, however the kill wouldn't have occured if not for the assistance of my fellow officers. http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo269/Contann/screen5.jpg http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo269/Contann/screen6.jpg http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo269/Contann/screen8.jpg After that incursion, I was surprised to find an Outcast Destroyer by the name of LRS-Queen_Isabella. LNF-Derek.Applegate and [BHG]Claxton found the ship near Fort Bush, firing on the bounty hunter. I ordered both ships to cease fire, and the Outcast Destroyer left without any trouble. http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo269/C...n/screen40b.jpg I returned to patrolling when, on Long Range Sensors, I found 2 Harvesters near Liberty space. One was stationed at Hudson while the other was in New York. I found the Harvester near the Norfolk Shipyards. I escorted the Harvester out of Liberty space, as I believe that it wasn't a threat so no force was necessary. http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo269/C...n/screen35b.jpg Finally, by the advice of LPI-Andrea.Berkeley, I found 2 Order ships 15k away from Manhattan by the name of Rhys.Filmore and Ronis.Lokin. I talked to them for an hour, asking them what their intentions were and to please leave. They responded by saying that they needed records of the LN to verify if anyone was infected by the nomads. I was tense however, as three Osiris Battleships attacked us a couple days eariler and that the Order were now considered "Pirates". I asked again for them to please leave, however they did not. They accused us of entering Omicron Minor and that the attack was the punishment for entering their space. I replied by saying that both Liberty and Order ships were restricted to their own systems. Sub Lieutenant Malrone arrived on scene as I explained everything. http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo269/C...n/screen39b.jpg http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo269/C...nn/screen41.jpg http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo269/C...nn/screen42.jpg We were unable to persuade them to leave and were forced to use force. Sub Lieutenant Malrone, BHG Claxton, LNF-Derek.Applegate and I attacked the Order ships. During the fight, Kaize.Soze appeared, another Order ship it seems and destroyed LNF-Derek.Applegate. After that loss, we rallied and destroyed the three Order ships. I find this extremely disturbing as I was on the comms with them for an hour, and they had no regard for the events that had transpired over the last couple days. http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo269/C...nn/screen43.jpg An interesting day no doubt. I would like to congratulate Sub Lieutenant Malrone for his promotion. --End Transmission-- Liberty Forces Message dump - Baby Bonnie Hood - 10-10-2008 [Incoming transmission] [Comm ID: LN Investigation Team] Reporting in regarding the whereabouts of Lt. Cmdr. Lecric Shocker. Simply put: We can't find him. The most that we've uncovered is that he was piloting his trading vessel, the LNT-High Voltage, when he disappeared. He had made a delivery to FP6 in Tau-29, and then apparently planned to pass through Bretonia space on the way back to Liberty. What happened after that remains unknown, though there's something peculiar we found in the logs. Among its several trade runs, there were a few runs where the High Voltage passed through Orkney. As there's no discernable reason at all to venture quite out of the way like that, this matter will be looked upon. In the meantime, I regret to say that perhaps Lt. Cmdr. Shocker is to be considered MIA. That is all. [End transmission] //In actuality, I lost my PC and possibly all my data. Which pretty much means I won't be playing FL for the time being. I may pick it up again when Disco v4.85 hits, but I'll have to first find out if I can play FL on a laptop. And muster up enough courage to tear myself away from Dwarf Fortress... nope, I can't. The dwarves beckon. I had fun. Maybe we can play again in the future...:) Liberty Forces Message dump - JakeSG - 10-10-2008 ---Incoming Transmission---
---Destination: Liberty Lawfuls High Command--- ---Source: Recruit William von Darkmoor--- Priority: Low Greetings to the appropriate officers. In the half hour between my starting the shift, and being cut off by an ion storm, we encountered but one smuggler, no serious hostiles, and a mercenary in a Bounty Hunter Gunship whom threatened one of our officers for disrupting tradelanes. Apart from that, the only thing remotely close to criminal that occured was a large amount of trashtalking by irritable traders. A smuggler was caught in the above mentioned tradelane, and was halted. I moved to assist the officer in position, who calls himself Maxx. The smuggler was agreeable, and after stating that he didn't realise that it was contraband and appologising, saying that he did not wish to participate in anything illegal, he jettisoned his cargo for us to destroy. ![]() ![]() ![]() As he was so agreeable, and apparently in ignorance, it was mutually agreed by those present to reduce his fine on the condition that he did not smuggle again. I trust I have not overstepped my boundaries? Regards, - Recruit William von Darkmoor ---Ending Transmission---
---Source Lost--- Liberty Forces Message dump - Asgardian - 10-10-2008 **Incoming Coded Transmission** **Decode Algorithm 4-A997-B** **Decoding...Complete** >>[LN]-Jack.Malrone<< --Message Reads as Follows-- Another very busy day today, i was rushing from one side of Liberty to the other with other Navy officers to try and contain the hordes of smugglers that seemed to have infested Liberty once again. As Recruit Galen Anderson has already covered the attack on the Order spies, i will not be reporting on that, but would like to thank all friendlies involved in the tactical strike, and would like to announce that LNF-Derek.Applegate is recovering well in Manhatten Central Hospital. [size=12] After the Order attack, i made my way back to Manhatten, where i encountered wells_fargo, who was carrying gate/lane parts, and was unauthorised to do so. After asking him to return them, he complied completely and it looked like an honest mistake. Once again i ran into Tobias Vaughn, and yet again he was smuggling artifacts, but as soon as he saw me, he quickly turned tail and ran into Zone-21. He then docked to Alaska, and i pursued. I was forced to destroy him shortly after leaving the jumpgate. I also somehow accidentally destroyed Mastar_Venom whilst in Alaska, it is possible he was in the unstable vortex of the wormhole when i undocked from New York. But I would wonder what Mastar_Venom was doing in Alaska in the first place... After returning to New York, fellow Navy pilots called me to the scene of yet another smuggler, who officers failed to catch before he landed with a haul of Cardamine. 'TheGhost' was apprehended trying to leave Manhatten orbit, but he refused to pay the fine for smuggling Cardamine. After refusing to come into custody, the target welcomed me to destroy him. Thinking this was a trick, and that he must have had explosives on board, i was apprehensive about opening fire. Luckily TheGhost did not have any explosives on board, and once again i was forced to destroy the target after he tried to flee. [THC]TheBigFatty was present in Alaska, and as such, i ordered a stage 2 alert, and that all units report immediately to Norfolk in case he challenged us. Evidently TheBigFatty must have seen our might and returned back to Omicron Minor. Ghost~Trader was the next smuggler to be found to have artifacts stowed away on-board, but failed to yield to demands to drop the cargo and pay the fine. A short chase ensued, where the target probably docked at a Junker base in Texas, but we dared not proceed any further into the debris field in fear of an ambush. When returning to New York, i picked up something coming from inside Zone-21, and proceeded to investigate. Turns out it was a smuggler by the name Alexi Stukov, attempting to smuggle artifacts into New York. Myself and the LNS-Dutch.Oven were forced to destroy the target after it was clear he was not going to stop. Godfish was the next target, as he attempted to smuggle diamonds from New Berlin into Liberty. Apparently he didn't know about the trade embargo between Liberty and Rhienland, and was very co-operative thankfully. When doing another patrol around Norfolk, i was shocked to see Alexi Stukov once again coming from Zone-21. And once again, Alexi failed to comply with Naval orders. However, a comms error meant we had no-one guarding Manhatten! Alexi escaped with the haul of artifacts, but I am sure he will smuggle again, and next time, there will be no mistakes. A short time later, i was called to Manhatten to investigate TheGhost, as it seemed he was smuggling yet again. Our suspicions paid off as he was hauling a full cargo bay of Cardamine. Once he saw me bearing down on him, he proceeded into the debris field near Manhatten and docked at a Junker base. His ship hasnt been seen since. I was then called over the private comms system by Kyrann Straxi, a lane hacker. He offered the safe release of several LPI, BH and Civilian pilots if i met him in California. Puzzled by this request, i had officer Agatron stand by in the system in case it was a trap. I ordered he drop the pilots into space, and i would pick them up at the designated co-ordinates. He fully complied, and am still puzzled as to why he surrendered the pilots, but am thankful of their safe return to their loving families. [OTC] Herackles was next on the long list of smugglers attempting to get artifacts into New York. I rushed to the aid of fellow officers, but i was too late and only managed to get a glimpse at his cargo before he docked at Rochester. I ordered a retreat back to Manhatten, suspecting Herackles wouldnt be stupid enough to undock from Rochester immediately. Once again i overestimated the intelligence of a pirate. He almost immediately undocked from Rochester, with a full load of Light Arms, probably destined for pirates or even worse, terrorist groups. We weren't going to let that happen, and Herackles soon found out the power of the Liberty Navy and her allies. The target was terminated, and all weapons returned to Detroit Munitions for immediate destruction. Once again, the day ended a bit weirdly, with a confrontation with a Harvester. I did my best to convince it to drop the pilots he had on board, but it refused and proceeded to try and 'harvest' me. Luckily the Enchanted and Agraton were there to back me up, and the Harvester was terminated and the pilots rescued. Day Summary:
