Sender ID: RADM Jeffrey Asterius Fleet Admiral, I just received word from Springfield. They've finished putting the Exotic Materials Lab together, but operating it is way below their specialty. I'll be heading over to Denver to our planetside recruitment centre, with luck, I may find the necessary amount of specialists for it. In the meantime, while my schedule is mainly filled with Springfield's internal affairs and management, I'll be leaving the Umbra in her XO's charge. Commodore Kurosawa might be a stern man, but I trust him more than I do myself. Sender ID: RADM Jeffrey Asterius Fleet Admiral, While it may have taken me some time, I did manage to recruit the necessary amount of specialists that expressed their will to work for us. The Umbra has successfully transported them to their new workplace. We're going to let them settle in for the moment, but as soon as their working shift starts, the Exotic Materials Lab will be fully operational. Now, on a different topic. With its recent development, Springfield has a real potential to become an additional ship construction and maintenance yard within Chadwick's proximity. I say, the more - the merrier. Thus, I suggest we provide the station with a drydock. With the ongoing counter-terrorist operation in Pennsylvania and Magellan systems, there isn't going to be a shortage of ships to repair, and with an open drydock, Springfield will give Norfolk some breathing room without stuffing the yards at Juneau with ships that require after-action maintenance. Sender ID: FADM Martin Kemp-Smith Rear Admiral, Excellent work in getting the scientists transported to Springfield, Mister Asterius. Would be good to start processing all of those materials that have been otherwise gathering dust since they were procured. Regarding the further expansion of constructing a shipyard, I think this would be a highly productive and worth-while venture, not only for the benefit of the Fleet, but for all Liberty Forces. Now that we are in a signed agreement with Deep Space Engineering, it may prove beneficial to contact them with regards to the required materials. Their space-docks at Baltimore are quite impressive, and I'm sure they've the specific material requirements that we would require. I trust I can leave this in your capable hands, Rear Admiral. Though, should you require assistance please let me know. Fleet Admiral, I've just received a classified AAR from Naval Intelligence regarding an illegal installation within the New York system. The station is located in the Detroit debris field, grid C-5; as you can imagine, it's surrounded by junk and won't be easy to approach. In the event of an assault upon the station, I recommend we stage our forces at Detroit Munitions, moving them into position behind the station in grid B-5. After some digging, I found an approved license application pending verification that Cryer Pharmaceuticals owns and runs the station. I think it's safe to assume this is not the case. The attached data packet should contain everything needed to proceed. Sender ID: RADM Jeffrey Asterius Fleet Admiral, I just received an update from Springfield. The drydock has finished its construction and is completely operational. While the manufacturing capacity isn't yet matching that of Norfolk, they'll be able to conduct swift maintenance jobs for our ships away from the prying eyes of the public, especially for sensitive cases like the Akhetaten-class. I'll be running down a trial of local production facilities through a batch order of Avionics Systems to test Springfield's capability of autonomously conducting maintenance and, potentially, construction jobs. Given how we already have DSE on the line, I'll direct them to procure 34,300 units of refined Platinum. I'm opening an announcement board for them and our future contractors for ease of communication. As a side note, given our proximity to [■■■■■■], I believe it's only fair that we provide our colleagues from LSF with a mooring access. In the meantime, I will once again take my leave to Denver to recruit additional specialists. For the Republic. - Jeffrey Asterius RADM Liberty Navy 46th Fleet |
