Guten Abend Officers,

a Junker going by the name of 'Ralph the Reaper', someone i had encountered only days earlier (See Rheinwehr Report #2560), informed me about two Unioner ships entering Frankfurt, both fighters according to him.

As i was scouting remote locations in Munich and Sigma-15, i needed a while to reach Frankfurt. Upon my arrival the system seemed clear, i could find no traces of any Unioner presence. I kept an eye on the major traffic areas, then decided to continue to nearby systems.

My search led me to New Berlin instead, where i spotted a most peculiar sight. A sizeable fleet of Corsairs had stopped a Junker barge a few klicks away from the trade lane connecting Planet New Berlin and Essen Station. Being cloaked, as i was searching for two Unioners, i used this opportunity to gather intel and listen in on their communications, while waiting for a response team to be dispatched from Neu Berlin. During this time a few more Corsair ships appeared, some carrying marines for boarding purposes.

The Corsair fleet, from what i could gather, was composed of the following vessels:

At this point the response team, a strike wing from Neu Berlin, arrived to hinder any further action taken by the Corsair fleet. I kept a close eye on their fleet movement, up until some broke formation and chased the strike wing into the nearby Aachenfeld. This was where i entered the fray as well, we managed to take out one Corsair fighter as well as their gunboat, thanks to a Handelsmarine Oder appearing at the scene.

As i was wrapping it up with a few Junkers, a Hitman and a Technocrat vessel trickling in, the boarded barge had either managed to escape or was released. It broadcasted a system wide message, we coordinated to meet up as i had a few questions to ask about the whole deal.
As it turns out, the Corsairs took the barge's captain hostage - a man namend Festus McBoyle. His second in command was released and received an ultimatum - return with a fully loaded barge to Omicron Gamma, otherwise Herr McBoyle would be executed. While boarding they took technical data, schematics and similar, McBoyles XO and me both believe they intend to build their own barge and take this one as their own, if given the chance. I told McBoyle's XO to contact the Rheinwehr or me directly should more steps be taken or additional information come in. Having such a logistical addition to the Corsair's efforts is something neither him nor we would like to see.

Guten Abend Officers,

a GNI cruiser was caught violating Rheinland space, according to the captain's statements they were invited by the Kaiser himself.
A preposterous statement, which was nothing more than a mere lie - painted as such by their later actions. I found them in Frankfurt, heading for Battleship Schwerin. Busy with consultations as they called it. They followed my orders to be escorted out of Frankfurt to Sigma-13, but fired upon the trade lane as soon as they had left it with me still in transit. Buying themselves time to vanish in Sigma-13, as i found no more trace of them once i could follow again.

A bit later i kept an eye on the access to New Berlin in Frankfurt, a Freelancer joined me there. Richards. We talked for a bit up until a Bundschuh ship appeared and disabled the nearby trade lane. The pilot made it rather clear to not value the absolution granted to him and others of his ilk. Demonstrating a shattering lack of respect for the House of Rheinland, even going so far as to attempt to pay the Freelancer to pick up arms against the Rheinwehr. Additionally his cargo hold contained hostages as well as prisoners - i made sure to return them to nearby Lübeck Border Station. Unfortunately multiple warnings were not heeded, thus i was bound to resort to lethal force in order to achieve this.

Having repaired my hull at Alster Shipyard, i returned just in time to be in position for yet another highly peculiar occurrence. An Insurgency battleship exited the lane network close to the New Berlin jump gate. Moved quickly to sector E7 to gain some distance and remained there. Upon questioning the captain stated they came here looking for blueshirts and seeking answers to three questions of theirs among some other less believable answers. I insisted on escorting them out before i would even consider that request - to my astonishment they cooperated without incident. We made our way to a jump hole in the Nordheide. Shortly before jumping a Freelancer, carrying Cardamine and Light Arms, appeared with a Golden Chrysanthemums IFF. Naturally that caught my attention and i informed them about the issues with what their IFF means around here - the Cardamine was confiscated. Due to a low amount no fine has been issued. They too jumped to Bering afterwards.

On the other side, now in Bering, i gave no real answers to the Insurgency captain - not long after our arrival there members of the 1st Armada of the Libery Navy entered scanner range and engaged the former. During their fight i picked up an unknown signal, but it vanished almost immediately again. Having taken out their target, both Navy vessels expressed their gratitude for not harbouring Insurgency members within Rheinland and then departed. So did i after a while.
The three questions were whether or not i had seen Nomads, a black Liberty Overlord and what my current company was doing in Hamburg at that time.

Guten Abend Officers,

late in the evening, while talking to a previously escorted out Freelancer with the callsign 'Bluefin' (Rheinwehr Report #2562) in Sigma-15, a Kruger vessel broadcasted a system-wide distress call. My current company decided to tag along and assist me in my task - about the same time Revenant from the Technocracy of Auxo entered Sigma-15 to check up on me. With her being on site already, Bluefin and me made our way to the Nordsee Cloud.

Upon entering my sensor array began to cease functioning properly - or the other party concealed their transmission. Whatever the case, i received a warning which came at the right time. I was more reluctant than usual to approach the source of the distress call. My readings where inconclusive, something i, at that time, blamed on the Nordsee and its interference. The more we investigated, the more that distress call seemed like a trap. Eventually, i got closer to make up for unclear scanner readings - at which time it all took a turn for the worse. An AI was at the scene now as well, attempting to understand what that supposed Kruger vessel was all about. Bluefin, already busy with towing, was ordered back by me, while Revenant helped me to see what truly went on here. A sort of hybrid vessel from the Nomads, now that i look back at this encounter it was clear attempts on influencing my mind were made by it.

I wish to point out that both Revenant and Bluefin - perhaps even that AI - prevented far worse from happening by allowing me to snap out of it and assisting not just against the vessel in question, but also ensure i found my back to a more secure location.

Guten Abend,

When I served aboard the Weltuntergang in Omega-48 we have encountered a Coalition fleet consisting of SCRA|CPW-Su-Uchkhan, SCRA|CPRV-Kardashev and SCRA|CPW-Su-Uchkhan. As the Government has asked the Rheinwehr to protect the corporations in the system, we had no choice but to try to repel them. Unfortunately, the firepower was too much, and we were forced to retreat to the Grand Vista Orbital.

Guten Abend Officers,

a Unioner named Hans Olken, already known for caring little about His Majesty the Kaiser's grace (Rheinwehr Report #2537), showed up near planet Stuttgart and unsuccessfully attempted to extort credits from a passing by EFL transport by impersonating Rheinland law enforcement. I ordered EFL to proceed, so the action that had to follow for such transgression did not endager them.

With me, at that time, were Revenant and a Freelancer, callsign Ridgenose. The former offering assistance after odds turned in Olken's favor during our battle. Together we managed to subdue him - which led to Olken's surrender to me. His ship had been heavily damaged and life support was failing, Ridgenose 'ensured' Olken's pod was ejected. Revenant politely declined compensation for her assistance, i then took Olken to the Westfalen.

Roughly two hours later i returned to New Berlin, having a look at one of our most frequent areas of unwanted activity - the Ruhrfeld. As to be expected, i found something. This time a Liberty Rogue, callsign MeisterZim, smuggling Black Market Munitions. Upon establishing communications, he slowed down and stopped not long after having left the field in sector D3.

He cooperated without any incidents, dropped his cargo and paid the fine. Escort out of Rheinland space without usage of lane network took place, i followed the pirate train up to Bering. Lacking sufficient cargo capacity myself and having no suitable logistics vessel in range, i opted to destroy contraband on site. Scans of it have been sent to local authorities.

while in Hamburg i picked up system-wide broadcast from Revenant. Apparently a nearby trade lane ceased functioning. Richards, a Freelancer who was with me at that time, followed me to the transmitted location for a closer investigation. On both our ways and upon arrival, nothing out of the ordinary was found. I was told one of the Technocrats, Xyston, investigated a ghost signal not far from Planet Hannover. Seeing as Hamburg had its fair share of unexpected happenings, i decided to check for myself instead of letting it slide. Shortly before departing a third Technocrat showed up, Arcanite, making four of us that went on a patrol around Planet Hannover. With nothing on any of our scanners, i led the wing through Südheide back to Lübeck Border Station.

After talking with my current company for a while longer, a Freelancer transport entered Hamburg from New Berlin. His cargo consisted of Black Market Light Arms, Helium and Human Organs. Present Technocrat forces disabled the adjacent trade lane as soon as his cargo hold was revealed to me - leading to an unsuccessful communication attempt at first. Contraband was dropped as ordered, but the pilot attempted to flee. Once again quick thinking of my company prevented escape, as several cruise disruptors were fired. Educating the Freelancer about the required fine, he seemed to stall for time - as no fine was ultimately payed. Instead his third attempt at fleeing the scene was crowned by success, hiding somewhere aboard Alster Shipyard.

Revenant offered the possibility to use one of their own logistics vessels, the Columba, which was subsequently called in to deal with the high amount of Human Organs left at the scene. I authorized temporary transportation to Planet Hamburg, where local Polizei forces began their investigation into the matter.

Revenant informed me about a Crayter Republic cruiser inbound for the Hamburg System, while i was in a conversation with Freelancer Caliban. As he had been working alongside the Rheinwehr two months earlier and proved himself to be a capable wingman (Rheinwehr Report #2532), i asked for his help once more.

Not long after and said cruiser appeared, was intercepted before reaching Planet Hamburg's orbit properly and questioned by me. During this time Revenant returned from Bering as well. According to the captain they were heading to Planet Neu Berlin with passengers. Scans did show over 200 explorers aboard next to the usual crew. Reasons for coming here were dubious at best, but they complied, paid the fine and were escorted out of Rheinland the way they entered it.

Guten Abend,

I am currently en route to being treated for my injuries sustained during my latest patrol. But I am getting ahead of myself. Today at Planet New Berlin I have joined fellow Rheinwehr heroes for convoy escort duty.
Everything went smoothly, the RGS haulers and I were even jesting about weaponizing Rheinbier delivery in a devious marketing ploy to make Libertonians drink our bier over their ale.

Alas, the good times were not to last. I have fought many battles with swarms of the Libertonians, and it appears they are back to threaten trade in the Hudson system - the Xenos such as one XA-Phantom.111 that went to threaten us. Given that I wanted to see our trade vessels safe from these lunatics, and I do have the most experience fighting them I have volunteered to distract the Xeno while our convoy proceeds safely to its destination. I was successful in that task, my covering fire meant that our convoy had all the space it needed to proceed to Liberty. My vessel got damaged, I have been bested, and this is why I am en route to New Berlin to get my injuries treated.

I pay this no mind however, it's not the first time I have suffered burns after a difficult fight, the objective was achieved, Rheinland made a little economically stronger and that is all that matters.

a Hessian neared Planet Hamburg and was intercepted by me shortly afterwards, to my surprise i received unexpected assistance in the form of a certain Unioner - Hans Olken. He proceeded to engage my target and took it out in the end. His motifs remain unclear to me, last i heard he escaped his imprisonment. Now he helps Rheinwehr forces. I suggest to keep a closer eye on him.

About an hour later i met Revenant and a Junker near Planet Hamburg, our conversation was cut short as the Crimson Queen showed up, aiming to take out Revenant. An unknown Freelancer arrived only moments later, was hired by Revenant and engaged the Corsair. So did i. This quickly turned into more, as a Bretonian Intelligence Service bomber appeared and went for both Revenant and the Corsair. I told him to stand down and explain his presence here, instead of an answer i received two more contacts on my scanners. Merchant Navy appearing as well - questioning me why their agent was fired upon by the hired Freelancer. I msyelf hired Caliban, who had turned up only a bit earlier to assist against the present Corsair - but to leave the BIS agent alone. Said agent was taken out by the first Freelancer, while Revenant landed the last shot on the Corsair - i told both Merchant Navy vessels to take his pod and bring it out of Rheinland.

Guten Abend Officers,

official channels have received an escort request by the Bretonian Merchant Navy. I picked up the transmission and relayed it to available units, before making my way over to Omega-7.
There i met a Merchant Navy gunboat, the HMS-Triumph, informing me about no incidents on the way through Bretonia and both RGS vessels, who were to be escorted further. Their cargo being Gold Ore in higher quantities. A single Gaian pilot was aboard the bigger RGS ship, he was handed over to me. With the HMS-Triumph's departure and the arrival of both the KKS-Raeren and Flieger Lukas von Mayer, we began our part of the escort. Heading for Stuttgart and then New Berlin, destination being The Ring. No disruption on the way. Close to Brandenburg Bootsmann Wagner joined the formation.

After having received another contract, RGS asked us if further escort was available - to which i agreed. Course was plotted for Hudson, Bootsmann Wagner's eagerness to assist with the transportation of Rheinbier should potentially be looked into. As before, no major incidents took place during our way through New Berlin and Hamburg. Hudson proved to be more of a problematic area, however. Xeno forces approached, at first only one. Ehren bought time for RGS to head towards the Texas jump gate, while the KKS-Kreuzenstein entered the system, followed by Flieger Albert Bartel. Its commanding officer issued a warning to present Xeno forces, before the order to engage was given. During combat more and more hostiles turned up, whittling our unit down. RGS reached their destination unscathed.
