Officers,

i have to report the spotting of a Liberty Navy ship within Rheinland.

As i am currently assigned to the Soltau to monitor the Hudson system and Hamburg, i ran into an unexpected contact close to the New Berlin jump gate. Meaning it must have come from the heart of our Empire. What it did within our borders is unknown to me, but it clearly was not wishing to have this encounter be resolved in a peaceful manner. The ship, a BDR-337 "Defender" class callsign '[LNS]_Highlander', was stopped by me next to Lübeck Border Station. According to the pilot's own statements they were simply passing by, a blatant lie no doubt as there have been no orders or instructions to expect Liberty Navy presence within our borders. Their refusal to comply and subsequent course of action, namely to flee, forced my hand into giving chase and apprehending the offender. Unfortunately they outran me towards the Bering gate and escaped into the next system. The Mainz was en route from New Berlin, but arrived too late.

I have to apologize for having lost my composure for a moment during this encounter.

Esteemed Representatives,

i was given a medical scan conducted on a known Freelancer - Richards.

They were suspected of either working together with the Nomads willingly, or were a controlled and infected pawn. Their fate is unknown to me at this moment, but i personally have not met them again since i was handed that report recently. Taking all required steps to prevent further spread of that one's influence should be paramount - i could not detect any tampering with the recording i was given and have submitted it for further evaluation.

Guten Abend Officers,

i regret to inform about unfortunate developments close to our capital.

Leutnant Kunrad and me arrived to a disrupted trade lane and three Aegis| members assaulting the Technocrat known as Revenant right in front of planet New Berlin. The Hunters refused to comply with my orders to cease fire and stand down - instead insisting on fulfilling their contract they were given. Demanding the Rheinwehr should stay out of it, claiming we had no authoritiy over them. All by a contract issued by the Core as i found out, something they shared openly shortly before we arrived. As Revenant forwarded her own recordings to me after the situation was handled, you may see for yourself. I attached both.

Situation itself was handled by several more Technocrat forces and Freelancers alongside Kunrad and myself. Aegis| had another one of theirs arrive at the scene and join their efforts despite a warning not to. The battle shifted closer to The Ring and Oder shipyard, Aegis| members weaving through the facilities' drydocks and misusing those as cover. Drawing significant danger to Rheinland's industrial heart in the process.

Guten Tag Offiziere.

I relocated to Thuringia in preparation for small tactics exercises with the Büro des Marinenachrichtendiensts. However, upon arriving to the designated docking bay, I found it to be empty. The loading master told me that the exercises were postponed, though I was made welcome in the ready room.

Before even having a chance to put up my gear, a low-level scramble alert activated in the bay. As my ship was ready to go, I immediately ran back and sped my way through the pre-launch. As soon as I undocked, I got the contact which the Bayern must have detected on scanners: a Junker Camara freighter (callsign: Junkgirl. It was full of Xeno relics (ERROR: Infocard scan corrupted) - an ongoing issue in Frankfurt and Thuringia as Obl Habermeyer attests in her reports.
With the vessel already more than 7K away, I gave the order to halt and gave chase, but to no avail. The pilot made a feeble excuse about a reactor malfunction, and soon enough I lost them on scanners as they went through the Bering jump anomaly. I confirmed that the area around the anomaly was clear, and proceeded back to Bayern to remain in a ready holding pattern.

Meanwhile, the pilot contacted me over long-range tightbeam to apologize and promise that their ship's reactor would be fixed in due course. I responded that upon return to Rheinland, the captain was to dock with Bayern and clear up the situation, as well as to pay a fine of 500,000SC for this incident. This amount was immediately transferred to my neural net node. I made it clear that the next encounter of this sort would result in more severe penalties, and that failure to change their ways would see them added to our vessel blacklist. While the pilot did not seem to be thrilled about such an eventuality, their appeals to having to make a living makes me think that we'll be seeing them again in the future...

Guten Abend Officers,

during a routine patrol in the New Berlin system Revenant forwarded information about an inbound Crayter vessel with a jump drive. While preparing for its arrival i consulted our laws and found no exceptions for any of their vessels within our borders.

The DLX Border Worlds Train "=CR=ISE-Demeter" was spotted in Frankfurt, heading towards New Berlin. I was waiting for it near Bonn Station, ordered it to cut its engines and performed a scan. As customary at this point, Revenant's intel proved to be correct. The vessel was in possession of one Seris II Jump Drive Module, hauled 4300 units of Industrial Material and checked out as Crayter. They complied to an extent, but just as i was about to inquire further another contact showed up on long range scanners. Readings inconclusive at first, up until i managed to get a few klicks closer. Despite my order to remain in New Berlin's orbit, the Crayter pilot used the opportunity to slip away.

With a Nomad form roughly 10 klicks out from New Berlin my attention was redirected from said pilot to the alien lifeform, carefully monitoring what it was doing. The situation reminded me of an earlier incident at approximately the same spot, with a similarly sized Nomad form channeling high amounts of energy. Seeing caution as the better option this close to New Berlin, i opted to discern motives first and attempted to draw it away from civilian and commercial targets. This plan did not work out and current company opened fire, prompting the Nomad to vanish right then and there. We kept a close eye on the coordinates it disappeared at, but no further contacts showed up on radar.

Guten Abend Officers,

while on guard duty in front of planet New Berlin Voigt and me detected a Core cruiser entering the immediate surroundings of our capital.

The vessel in question, an AP-430 "Thresher" - callsign "Core-WV-Tension", came from the Frankfurt system and exited the lane network right in front of us. I ordered it to halt and began questioning the crew. According to the captain the cruiser was freshly manned and en route to Liberty for test runs and training. They were seemingly unaware of House law, thus i lectured them about it and issued the according fine. Unable to pay it in full right then and there they instead paid a fraction - 2.335.357 SC, agreeing and complying with all further steps. The Tension was escorted out the shortest way possible, which was Dresden.

Währte Kameraden, Kamderadinnen

Today the Carrier Elbe got a Signal from our Nachrichtendienst, they found a non communicating Ship of the Front of de Liberation de Gallia Bewegung.
The ship was loaded with an big amount of Black Marked Munitions and got an Cloaking device on it.
Seems we got a Smuggler or anything else, after minuts of trying to get a contact with the Captain there where no answer.
We decided to dismantle the ship to save the crew, they should be not in best condition when they cant answer several attempts to get a connection.
After we got out hands on the Escape pods of the Predator we transported the crew on the shortest way to New Berlin medical Station! The groundforces of the Rheinland Police will now keep an eye on them.

Guten tag, officers of the Kaiserliche Rheinwehr.

Another day, another Corsair threat. Readied my gunboat to see a contingent of Deterrence ships outside Planet New Berlin. They were repelled, although at a great cost to our defenders.

One of these, a bomber (DTR-Apart) was picking off our snubcraft through some manipulation with Nova torpedoes. In the future, I recommend some simulations on how to counteract such tactics, so that the Kaiserliche Rheinwehr and its allies can come out on top.

Guten tag officers,

This noon I had a training day scheduled for a new recruit trying to enter our ranks. His name is Niklas Schulz. I am responsible to train him and it's my duty to make him a worthy pilot for our beloved Rheinland.

As we met in front of planet New Berlin, we got a alert from the ships with callsign BDM|RNC-Aegir and BDM|RNC-Leipzig. It seemed a Corsair cruiser was roaming the system with the name DTR-CNS>Pedro. Me and Niklas went to aid them with their search. The RNC-Aegir suggested we check the jumpgates and the known jumpholes but we didn't find any activity around them. During our search a Kruger security vessel came and helped in our search under the callsign Kruger|Rho-3.

Not long after the RNC-Aegir found the Corsair cruiser hiding in the Ruhrfeld near the Kreuzberg Depot. We rushed to the last known location he pinged us to. Unfortunately the asteroid field of the Ruhrfeld made it hard to locate him. It took us a while to find the fighting zone. Unfortunately the RNC-Aegir got disabled before we could reach him. It seemed the RNC-Leipzig got the right location. We asked many times for the location but the ship refused to answer our comms for reinforcements and decided to attack the DTR vessel on it's own shortly after. The captain's confidence in defeating the Corsair was misplaced as also his ship got disabled. Not long after Niklas, Kruger|Rho-3, me and another BDM agent called Frans Mueller with the rank of sergeant found the ship and managed to stop it from hiding again.

The Corsair ship was already damaged but still put up a big fight. We had to use hit an run attacks at different intervals to make sure our fighters and bombers could hit the ship while it was distracted by another. Our attacks made the already damaged ship even worse, but it was only when my recruit Niklas hit a critical component that the cruiser finally succumbed to it's wounds. I am very proud of him for this. Battlecam footage can be found here:

Our improvised squadron returned to planet New Berlin and after saying our goodbyes I continued the basic duty training of Niklas. Cargo scanning and Rheinland laws were the menu for today. He shows promise. He still has some rough edges but i'm sure we can iron those out as he's a quick learner.

During my training with Lt. Gunter Kunrad, we met a Corsair. A battle ensued and he managed to take down some pilots, but got overwhelmed afterwards.
Accompanied by my direct superior Lt. Gunter Kunrad and I, Niklas Schulz, we escorted the carrier DSR-New_Horizon (after checking the travel permit)
to Heisenberg research station in the Cologne system for the purpose of picking up important research goods.

Then, we escorted him safely and without incident back to the Neu Berlin system. There was no further danger.
