Incident report, Cambridge.

Battleship listed as [HF]-HFB-Atlas was queried entering Cambridge. Stated purpose on Planet Cambridge was a weapons purchase. Short term pass was granted.

Atlas proceeded to dock and a short time later undocked. Atlas then began to discuss piratical intentions over open com.

Exeter transmitted that the short term pass was revoked and Atlas was requested to leave the system.
Atlas refused, and Exeter repeated the warning, stating that refusal would lead to vaporisation.

Atlas again refused and a last warning was given.
At around 22:10 universal time from a range of approximately 1km, Exeter and Arawn opened fire on the hostile dreadnaught. Atlas immediately returned fire and first hits were made by both sides shortly thereafter.

Significant damage was being inflicted when the dreadnaught docked.

After egress from dock, Atlas headed towards Omega 5 jumphole. Exeter proceeded to escort the hostile ship, believing it to be departing the system.
After some distance, the treacherous ship dropped from cruise and opened fire on Exeter.
Exeter immediately returned fire and proceeded to launch cruise disruptors in order to prevent the hostile ship from escaping justice again.

Significant damage was inflicted by both ships, and the sky above Cambridge sparked with glow of mighty instruments of destruction. Armour peeled from both ships into globules of molten metal under the onslaught.

After a brief battle, the Atlas was duly vaporised.

A report came over universal com of HF's intention of future hostilties.

Addendum: Trader Chuckster voluntarily paid taxes of 10 million credits. Not sure who it is supposed to go to. Sounds like more paperwork.

Second edit: Welcome aboard Killer Dave. Sorry I was a bit occupied with other matters at the time, so the first round of drinks had to be postponed.

While on patrol in Cambridge space, I encountered the unlicensed trader vessel Arcturus docking with the Cambridge Research Station at approximatly 22:30 UT.

Scanning verified a large quantity of nomad brains and other alien organisms.

Regretfully, I was unable to stop the vessel for reasons of proximity. I immediately informed CRI, who dispatched a containment crew. The crew was able to determine, conclusively, that no contamination had occurred.

Questioning the captain of the indicated that he had been on a long-range trade route to the boarder worlds, and was unaware of recent legislation.

After confirming this fact in the communication and docking logs of the Arcturus, I informed the captain of the current licensing policies and allowed him to continue along his route. The captain of the Arcturus has declined to purchase a license at this time.

Due to apparant hostile nature of HF, have made their status hostile. Any HF vessel in Cambridge is to be requested to leave the system and is to be approached with caution. As for the taxes...uh guess consider it a Christmas present, we don't have a tax on traders.

SFBS-Sierra met AW in Cambridge space, and when asked their business, they said that they were protecting HF that came through they system (OOC: no HF on at the time). Admiral, I'm not sure your stance on AW protecting HF in Cambridge from SF engagements (yes, they did mention engaging SF if we engaged HF in Cambridge).

Also, I got a transmission from an unknown system (PM, random or not) about elgatodiablo wanting to join SF, but when I sent the transmission back to this system, I lost all contact (logged off of forums). I recommend that if you see him, tell him to contact Firebird; I'm not sure why he contacted me vs. our Admiral on forums, but what can a man do...

Disturbed from shore leave and unending paperwork by reports of a Helghast cruiser(kidnasty) that refused to leave Cambridge.
Arawn had already given warning to leave or face disintegration, so the Exeter cruised into range and vaporised said vessel.

Given the recent declaration of hostility by HF, [HF]DrakeThastus was asked to leave the system and was escorted to the Omega 5 jumphole.

Shortly after that, [HF]DrakeThastus was seen to re-enter the system and was again requested to leave.
That vessel was joined by [AW-B]Denicalus who appeared willing to babysit the HF vessel.

The vessels were asked to release some Bretonian pilots being held, which they did.

Fighter darklord was detected carrying Nomads and warned to purchase a license. Pilot refused.

The captain of [AW-B]Denicalus seemed to enjoy dabbling in local policing with suggestions that a Nomad license was completely unnecessary.

Seeing that AW were obviously of the opinion that they had purchased Cambridge, beauracratic details were left for them to deal with.

The Exeter docked and the crew were stood down.

I'm going to make contact with the AW command, as well as RM and Liberty governments. If the AW is willing going to aid pirates attacking a house system, I will see that it costs them their neutrality. The HF and AW alliance is well known, but if the AW aid HF in attacks in Cambridge that is an act of war by the AW and I will ask that RM and other lawful groups sever all ties with AW for that reason.

If HF engage in any form of piracy or hostile action while in Cambridge, proceed with standard orders (request return of any friendly pilots, ask to leave the system, open fire if non-compliant). If AW assists the HF in an unlawful act while in Cambridge, record the incident and report immediately. Outside of Cambridge defend yourselves versus HF vessels, but only initiate combat if they are threatening traders. Again AW involves themselves, record and report the incident and note details on how events unfolded (especially how things got started).

Welcome to the team Ghost Pilot.

Reporting the newly launched Battleship Repulse ready for combat on the Kusari border.

Exercises have been largely successful and the crew are doing the business in an orderly and efficient manner.
Gun crews reported some malfunctions originally but all seems to be in order now.
