In 794, the first "Kamone" equipped with the new Kishiro PnP (Performance & Productivity) package was prepared, but due to industrial secret concerns, it had to be test-flown by insiders to the project. Of all the technicians, I turned to be the one with the most appreciated piloting and assessment skills. I, as a promotion, was permanently seconded to the Gas Mining Guild in Sigma-19 and test-flew "dev. mules" for 6 years. In 801 when the contract between GMG and Kishiro went into effect and since I was not bound anymore by the industrial secret with Kishiro, I took and won hands down the GMG entrance examination aboard the new "Kamone" and got into business with a lease ship that I fully acquired in less than a year. For 5 years in a row I was the miner with the best stats and gained in notoriety among my fellow miners, I eventually set up a network inside the network and became the head of a pyramid of gas miners to whom I profited with "special hidden" technical knowledge to increase their productivity in exchange of a small percentage on their exceeding profits. But envy and jealousy prevailed among other guild members and I ended being sued both by GMG and Kishiro for various charges (unfair competition, insider dealing, violation of professional confidentiality, proprietary software piracy...). In 821 I was found guilty of all charges by the Kusari high court of appeal, had all my assets and properties seized, together with a life ban from any mining activity in Kusari and Border Worlds. Had I been the perverted type I'd have secured assets outside the neural network or in dummy companies behind figureheads.

Chris spend most of childhood being bounced between orphanages. Since his parents died in a mining accident, he was all alone and did what ever it took to survive.
When he was 18 years old, while he was working in a repair shop, he saw an IMG miner looking to hire someone crew for his ship. He knew that his chances were slim, but...nevertheless he tried his luck. Fortunately, the miner noticed Chris's skill when it came to repairing mining equipment. This was how he managed to escape his old life and work as much as he could in order to be able to buy his own mining ship.
