In matters of grave importance, the young shall fall silent and let those speak that can understand the effects of their words and deeds. You, Katsuo-san, may be too young to have known me personally, but I am convinced you have already realized that I am speaking for the young who fell silent after hearing the Guild's verdict. Mioshi was raised and is still being educated by a strict code of honour, a code of behaviour that puts loyalty and integrity at the top priority in her life. Now, the experience of age tells me, that decisions that the young make are often forceful. They are often made by intuition that is lacking in experience, which is a privilege of age and not available for the young. They often decide in a rush of emotion and without proper thought, that's why their decisions are often flawed. Thus they err, often. So does Mioshi. I will not pretend that Mioshi made no mistake. She did. She should never have questioned your authority, and I am surprised she did, as she has always been obedient and well-behaved. This is why we went over the comm logs of Kanchi and I can partly understand why she reacted upset, which does not excuse her bad decision: Quote:"Germanica": This one sounds like a female .... how interesting .... VERY much so ... I would just LOVE to meet you in a dark room one day ..... I can still feel the stress of situations like this physically, and Katsuo-san, do not forget that she has not been flying for years. She was provoked and insulted in a way that had to hit a young female hard. She should not have reacted. She should have kept her composure. She should not have let anger rule her decision making. But I am not surprised she did react when she faced the gunboat whose pilot had uttered the words. The stress of the chase of the second gunboat, the fear of failing, also the fear of not being able to stand against the superior firepower while alone long enough for assistance to arrive took its toll. Anger and lack of knowledge and thought made her wish for the destruction of the tormentor. Frustration about the denial of action against the pirate made her question your order. Continued provocation by the target intrigued her to do it. Quote:"Germanica": (laughs) we shall meet another time just me and you Mioshimoto (winks) I will make sure to bring something more suitable to our date ... Sadly, the lessons that I have taught her about defending her and the family's honour at any price was more powerful than your order. I failed in that aspect, more than she did. Loyalty would have been the principle to follow, not the wish to preserve her honour and revenge the insult. I do not seek to excuse what she did. I never will as long as I live. But I assure you that she regrets her decision as deeply as a young emotional being can feel pain and shame about having failed you and the Guild. She wanted to leave the Guild for bringing shame on it, a thought that was dropped as cowardice is not acceptable, and a loss of honour is followed by the unbreakable resolution to restore it. I am here to tell you that she is willing to make every atonement that the Guild gives to her. She will see it as a chance to restore her honour, not as a punishment to evade. Let me end with one sentence that carries an almost universal truth to me when looking back at my life: 'Don't be afraid to make a mistake. But make sure you don't make the same mistake twice.'
I hope, you will see the validity of this saying in the case that I am making for my granddaughter, when I ask you to look at what she can become, instead of the young and inexperienced person she is now. She needs guidance and not restriction. She needs to collect experience, not be barred from it. I assure you, she will never ever question or disobey any order again. Matahuro Hakamoto, Arrigato. I flew to Alpha and was intercepted by an Outcast Bomber. A Gunboat joined it. I convinced the Outcast to get me some Cardamine, which they did. They wanted to leave, but I told them to stay. Then announced my real purpose of being there, told them that I'd destroy the cardamine and did it right in front of their eyes. They engaged me and I barely made it back. The Garranchou is better at evading Supernova and blasters than I had expected it to be. I am glad I made it back alive. I want to offer my apologies to Guild Master Taro Katsuo. I hope you can accept it now. The mistakes I made will not happen again. Mioshi Hakamoto [font=Lucida Sans Unicode][color=#CCFFFF]*** TRANSMISSION STANDBY FOR ANSWER ***
Guild's Private Archives - ejoman3002 - 05-18-2012 To: GMG Guildmasters From Kenzo Haruko Encryption level: High Greetings guild masters. I send this message because i had an extraordinary event happen. I was greeted by zoner ships keldabe and cornacopia as i departed from Fujisiwa. They where bringing fuji with enough deterium im shur to last us a long while. The thing that was extraordinary though was that Cornacopia was a tremendously large ship. Larger then anything i have seen before with an immense cargo hold. They invited me to journey with them to Omega-49 by means of the new technology called a jump drive (Which is why i put a high encryption on this message. Im not shur if the zoners would want anyone else to know they have this technology) Well i could not let an opportunity to see something like this pass me by so i accepted. Well in a matter of minutes we where teleported to Omega 49. It was wonderful. Like nothing iv ever seen before. 1 Second we where in proximity of okinawa and the next in clear space. it was a beautiful system. Well we went to a planet called Gran Canaria. Where the large ship moored on the planet (for more supply's i presume) I was attacked by some corsairs on arrival to the system but a combination of bounty hunters and aid from the Keldabe they where destroyed. After the cornacopia had departed from the planet we prosseeded to return to Okinawa by means of the Jump drive again. Me and Keldabe where teleported but unfortunately the cornacopia was not sent with us. As disappointed as we where that the cornacopia was not sent back we decided to have a drink at fuji before they went back for the cornacopia. As-well i forgot to mention. The zoners graciously proposed to share this technology with us. Although i do not see the need of such a device for us it would definatly be something to think about. So i pass the message on. I was not able to take any pictures from my ship of the jump and system itself. I was to dumbfounded by the sheer feet of what had happened and the corsair distraction. But i do have logs of our conversation. http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk55/ej...01-01-16-32.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk55/ej...01-01-17-82.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk55/ej...01-01-18-68.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk55/ej...01-01-19-62.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk55/ej...01-01-20-35.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk55/ej...01-01-21-01.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk55/ej...01-01-21-62.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk55/ej...01-01-22-28.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk55/ej...01-01-22-95.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk55/ej...01-01-30-45.jpg Signing out. Guild's Private Archives - St.Elmo - 05-21-2012 Incoming Transmition from: GMG|GTS-Mombetsu An intresting story Mr Haruko , perhaps this technology would help me on H-3 runs or perhaps Guildmaster Taro could use such a devise for jumping the barge he has ownership of, as an advanced train i could bare a survey module for such things if i could recieve payment for carrying it. indeed it is an intresting idea that would be wisely looked into, perhaps some tests should be conducted to test the efficiencey of this new technology, afterall progression requires conviction. Guild's Private Archives - ejoman3002 - 06-30-2012 To: GMG Guildmasters From: Kenzo Haruko Encryption level: Normal Konnichiwa fellow guild members. Today has been a rather busy day. We where alerted to a base illigaly built in our space. So me and Shinji went to check it out. I arrived first. Bases name was orion13. I tryed hailing the base but no response. I also tryed to dock and i was denied. They left me with no other option other then to destroy there illegal base. I commenced firing and Shinji showed up shortly after and we commenced the destruction of the base. Then we headed back to naha. That was it for that incident. http://i.imgur.com/Z9Cae.png http://i.imgur.com/aNuzF.jpg http://i.imgur.com/TXvkF.png Next incident. Me and yungai where patrolling around Honshu because we heard of an outcast presence around. We patrolled a bit and found nothing till we came in contact with a tam tanaka of the KSP. He told us he was looking for an img ship possibly being held captive by an outcast. So we quickly searched around the area he had suggest. sector G6. We went about 60k above the plain and found nothing. Then i got coms saying hed found them 70k under the plain. so we quickly turned around and headed there. he had also informed me there was a base about 50k below G6 although i did not spot it myself. The outcast released the img but then after some exchange of dialog weapons started firing. So we disposed of the outcast gunship. The we returned to aomori for some well needed rest. http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk55/ej...21-25-27-14.jpg Signing out. Whilst mining in Okinawa, Kisho.Sekigawa (GMG) and myself encountered a freelancer named BDSM-Vood. We noticed he was carrying He-3 and challenged him. At that point, he told us that he got a bounty of sc5 mil for each GMG he killed and engaged our joint Kamomes. We returned fire and severely damaged his ship but he was able to escape. I stronly suggest that we be on the lookout for this pilot, since he is clearly hostile to us. I'd also like to know who's paying him said bounty. --- Message ends --- *** Transmission ends *** Guild's Private Archives - Stabby Dave - 07-07-2012 *** Incoming transmission *** *** Source : Vincent Maddox *** *** Recipient : All Guild members *** --- Message begins --- Greetings. I was on a run down to Bretonia today, passing through Tau 29, when I noticed a [TAZ] Zoner Nephilim stationed next to the newly constructed Freeport XXI base. I enquired to the Captian of the [TAZ] vessel as to whether he knew who operated the base. After some further conversation, he told me that he would contact the base owners (whom he knew), and would try to secure docking rights for GMG shipping. While we were talking, I also noticed a Samura ID'd ship with a UTC| faction tag dock there. Do wh know who they are? Two [TAZ] ships were parked outside, so I've a feeling this might be a [TAZ] station. I immediately cloaked and followed it, finally catching up with it at Shuri. When ordered to leave the system, its commanding officer questioned that order and then refused. I then recloaked and followed it out of system, but ran out of fuel. It then docked on Fujisawa despite docking control being ordered to reject his docking access.
