RE: Siege Ship Idea...[well the reserection of the idea] - Nexus Ark - 07-17-2013 My personal opinion thinks the current PoB model just needs to change first, its either too weak or to strong at one time, and no balance in between. Then we can see afterwards if the Siege ship would actually bring a good additions to the siege warfare. And should every faction get a siege ship? I would limit it for the house military only. Generally, the POBs needs to be revised. They are to strong and consumes to much materials and above all, a lot of time. More functions wouldn't be bad. Like a "shipyard" or a "weapon factory", where you can build up your own ships and weapons that you have requested on forums before. Or different station models. Before you set up your base you can choose a station type. Yeah thats what I was mainly going for, so factions that are military's and criminals.or other things that makes sense like Order, and BHG|Core. Obviously we don't need factions like trading factions or zoners having them. zoners are peaceful, peaceful factions wouldn't need it. And yes pob's need to be revised I agree but for now That isn't happening it seems. RE: Siege Ship Idea...[well the reserection of the idea] - Croft - 07-17-2013 A slightly off topic but related idea, would it be possible to have bases lock out any repair item delivery for a certain time (say 24-36 hours) upon taking a percentage of it's health as damage (10 - 20%). To stop the spam and needless lag you could limit the damage the base takes per minute, adjusting the health of the base along with it. Alternatively you could remove the bases entirely, maybe repurpose them as points of dominance for strategic systems depending on what the engine will allow.
