SF Message Dump - Badger - 07-21-2006

The Sirius Federation communication mainframe had been closed down for an indefinite period of time following many events throughout Bretonia and Sirius that had compromised the security of both the comm systems and the personnel who used it. SF had fallen into darkness until the damage had been repaired and trust regained between old friends and new. A new era called for the reinstatement of the communication channel.

The Phantom fleet arrived as predicted. At first contact our ships were overwhelmed by a VHF and Cruiser at the Ross planetoid and we lost many Police Cavaliers in the fray, as well as one Gunboat. The Battleship stationed at Ross managed to hold the Phantoms back for a short while but their intentions were clear, an assault on our home planet.

Another Phantom VHF joined their fleet and they assaulted from the trade lanes. Fortunately a PLH Battleship had entered the area in defence of Planet Cambridge. During a ferocious battle both my Gunboat and the PLH Battleship received heavy hull damage but eventually took down both VHF's and the Cruiser. Had it not have been for the selfless valiance of that Battleship Captain I am certain the tide of battle would have swung the other way.

The people of Cambridge can rest safe tonight though. I can only assume this is not the last we shall see of the Phantoms, but they will know now that the SF does not submit to defeat so easily.

In accordance with new Intergalactic Regulations, all personnel are required to install the correct ID tags. The authorised Bretonian Armed Forces ID is available in exchange for 1,000,000 Sirius Credits at Battleship Suffolk. Should your unit have insufficient funding, please report to your Commanding Officer for a resolution as soon as possible.

With Admiral Kiggles on a temporary leave of absence, I posted a response regarding the SF's diplomacy. Apparently, we're also on friendly terms with the MiD. My opinion is we keep an eye on this group and their operations within Bretonia. If their actions are respectable and do not interfere with our affairs or those of Bretonia then all is well.

Until Admiral Kiggles return, continue to monitor ships operating in Bretonian space. Ships carrying contraband are to have their cargo seized, and any hostile action against Bretonia, the SF or its allies is to be reported.

Captain Firebird Sir, I have been keeping tabs on MiD during routine patrols, so far they seem to be operating within Bretonian law. Though I suggest we keep a tighter watch around their activities in Newcastle, being as it is a haven for illegitimate business in Bretonia.

One thing I would like to bring particular attention to though, is the rise in pirate activity around Dublin. We have had trouble with the Mollys and Corsairs their from day one, but recently a new threat has been seen building strength there. This group tag themselves [DJC] - Davey Jones Crew I believe, and as far as I can tell they have no intention of obeying Bretonian law. A good course of action would be strengthened patrols near Planet New London for the mean-time, just to be wary.

If any of our intelligence officers can shed more light on this [DJC] group, I would be most grateful.

Sigh... who is this?

and what are they doing emulating our tags whilst apparently calling for help even though they seem to have built up 11 levels of credits without a problem? (Actually, 15 levels last I checked)

If you guys don't have a clue, I'll direct this to higher authorities.

I, too, have been noticing an increased presence of MiD in Bretonia. However, they seem to be staying far away from Cambridge, and mostly meeting in Newcastle and Leeds. I believe that DJC of minimal threat, however, if they are working with Corsairs or Mollys in that area, then something must be done immediately.

I will increase my patrols throughout Bretonia with my battleship. If there are problems, it will be reported immediately.

As for knowledge on the unkown tagged member, I have not clue.
