RE: Pirate: Profitable or just Trader Torture? - Lythrilux - 08-25-2013 I keep my name for the street cred. When people see me in the lane they will know who I am and that if the Fuck with me they end up dead. . RE: Pirate: Profitable or just Trader Torture? - Kazinsal - 08-25-2013 It can be some fun RP. RE: Pirate: Profitable or just Trader Torture? - Spike Seadra - 08-25-2013 Who said Pirating don't earns you ? My friend told me once he earned 300 M via pirating in 1 week. You just have to be clever and active. RE: Pirate: Profitable or just Trader Torture? - Irwin - 08-25-2013 It's fun as hell. Plus, you can make billions if you want to. Just takes proper placement, really. RE: Pirate: Profitable or just Trader Torture? - Bootsiuv - 08-25-2013 (08-25-2013, 10:53 PM)Spike Seadra Wrote: Who said Pirating don't earns you ? Yes, this is tru, and I never said you can't earn money as a pirate. However, while your friend earned 300 mill in one week pirating, he could have earned over 1 billion by trading/mining. So, I think my argument is valid. RE: Pirate: Profitable or just Trader Torture? - Hone - 08-25-2013 Not really. "Pirating earns less than mining/trading" maybe. But you said: (08-25-2013, 10:06 PM)Bootsiuv Wrote: Don't play a pirate if your goal is to make money. RE: Pirate: Profitable or just Trader Torture? - sindroms - 08-25-2013 So wait, was the question "Is piracy a good source of income" or was it "Is piracy a source of income on par with trading and mining" Because if it is the later, then it was a rather stupid question to begin with. But you said: Yah....I would say that all of the ammo and bot rebuys over the course of the years vs the money I've made would probably about equal out. I also wasn't really concerned about making money, so I've never asked for more than 2 million. I think I may have asked for 5 on a few gold haulers, but it wasn't often. Had I been asking for 10-15 mills, which is entirely justifiable for ore haulers, then I probably would come out on top. I wasn't doing it for the money though. It was fun to be a bad guy, especially considering my true nature is about as opposite as you can get from that (or I think so anyways). Maybe I'm just too nice to be a successful pie-rat. Who knows.... RE: Pirate: Profitable or just Trader Torture? - Lythrilux - 08-25-2013 Personally, pirating is often easier than mining, trading or doing missions because I generally enjoy playing as a pirate so it's more convenient for me. RE: Pirate: Profitable or just Trader Torture? - sindroms - 08-25-2013 Then again, pirating is sort of mining.... Just...you know. Rocks, traders. Just traders are like a much more whiny type of rocks, which makes it much more fun to shoot them. |
