Quick qeustion i'm confused - Linkus - 08-06-2008 Inferno turrets, Mortars, Supernovas etc = Specialised. Universal. Nomad/Outcast/Corsair/Bretonia/Liberty/Kusari/Rheinland/(Insert faction here) turrets = Non-specialised. Non-Universal. The specialised capital ship weapons such as the Inferno, Mortars etc and the bomber Supernova's are classified as Universal weapons. The rest are not. The outcasts have normal turrets, so does Liberty. So a Liberty Navy ship should use Liberty turrets. Outcasts have Inferno turrets, Liberty does not. So a Liberty Navy ship can use the Inferno turrets. They were classed as universal so it wouldn't be unbalanced. Please say I can stop now? Quick qeustion i'm confused - Tranquillity - 08-06-2008 ' Wrote:My view to the Inferno Cap Turret, they are useless, there are just to slow to hit anything on a wide range, but since it is the only weapon of that kind it is free for all. I prefer the normal Turrets, and Liberty is owner of the one, that is simply the best for an Battleship. I was one of them, we held the upperhand cause 1 gunboats had inferno's "according" to outcast/rouge relation. (I was one of them) Liberty had no inferno's so they got easly pwned. we need 4 or 5 gunboats to take down a cruizer. So if liberty can't use there ship more effectively...:rtfm: then i dont know lol  Quick qeustion i'm confused - Linkus - 08-06-2008 Superior numbers and superior firepower combined with even a small amount of skill usually wins fights remember. Numbers are especially handy for going against slow firing ships that lack agility. (I was one of them) And you don't see the issue? You claim that small gunboats can take out large cruisers with no problems using your superweapon, yet still want to only hoard them for yourself when the other factions have nothing even like it to help them? Its easy to make such a decision when you are on the side of the fence with the green grass. This is why they are universal, maybe not the best RP gun to use.. but needed sometimes. Quick qeustion i'm confused - Drake - 08-06-2008 Fighter Inferno = Awesome (and restricted) Capship Inferno = Meh (and not restricted) Gunboats = Awesome Cruisers = Suck Quick qeustion i'm confused - Tranquillity - 08-06-2008 ' Wrote:Inferno turrets, Mortars, Supernovas etc = Specialised. Universal.Wel, what if the guns are sold on the station youre faction is based on ? for example Rouges bases has a corsair gunboat turret. So as a Rogue can i use it ? cause rogues has no starting gunboat guns. or if i'm bounty hunter ? i'm based on a base that sells order turret or corsair...?? Quote on mb52: can't you read it ? i had 5 gunboats helpening..If i was alone i would have bin dead. it drains to much and cruizer shield is powerfull. So giving a cruizer a Inferno to...wont that making the kill lots easyer ? Quick qeustion i'm confused - Linkus - 08-06-2008 Station equipment and ships are slightly odd in this mod version. You have ships in stations far far away from where they are from etc. Where equipment and ships are sold should not be taken as RP reasons to use the ships or equipment. The Rogues have a turret of the same type as the Corsair turret. (Through their allies anyway) Therefore they should use their turret. Using the corsair one is purely for PvP reasons obviously and so is not allowed. Unless you can justify it with damn good RP then you won't be able to use them. Certain weapons are universal. Inferno turrets are one of those weapons. Especially if said cruiser pilot is foolish enough to start the fight in an asteroid/scrap field. I once got screamed at for trapping someone in asteroids, then ducking behind one and plinking the tail of his ship from where most of his guns couldn't reach me. He eventually got loose. As for the Liberty capwhoring comment... Quick qeustion i'm confused - MB52 - 08-06-2008 ' Wrote:Wel, what if the guns are sold on the station youre faction is based on ? for example Rouges bases has a corsair gunboat turret. I agree from a RP pov you should probably not use it if your not an outcast, but from gameplay POV, theres no alternative, until special weapons are added for each faction. Mind you, I am a firm believe that you can fly ANY ship, use ANY gear, and be in ANY faction you like. As long as you have the RP to support it. (which can be hard) An example.. most people list Nomad turrets as restricted to keepers only. However in my RP the ship uses nomad prototype weapons, so the best way to represent it, is to have a couple nomad turrets on, mixed with the normal liberty turrets. |
