Well...I think it is too much like the Nephthys to be another VHF. Isn't the Talon a VHF? Anyhow, perhaps it could be a new HF? And can we get some backside pics of it?

the shape fits the role we know from the talon. - easy to hit... but high end with 6x lvl10 guns - and an eagle powerplant ( small )
a well balanced ships for a good gunner for some burst damage. - this ship is larger than the nephtys - and like the talon, is easier to take damage.

I like that new talon...
My suggestion is to try and alter the talon's stats into an SHF. Give it a larger power core, more armor, reduce manuverability, and have more bats/bots, maybe with CD only and Torpedo only hardpoints so you could equip both like a bomber.

I second what Tenny says here. There's really no need for another VHF on the Order shiplist. Why two?
This fits a SHF much better. It's still a touch small, but keep it that way and don't buff it's armor very much. Keep it a bit unwieldy, give it one Torpedo/CD slot capable of a SNAC/Nova Launcher, give it a few turret slots that have serious arc angles, and let it rip.
I really do wish we had more SHFs. Even if they usually suck.

i dont like the new talon... the old looks much better
and the design is not the normal order style cause its a prototype so its more than right to create this this in a new modern design

The new Talon is much better. It's going to be best left as a VHF with it's 6 level 10 gun slots. Despite people thinking that it's two similar VHFs, the Talon and Nephtys actually have very different stats both (one is a tank, the other is a glass cannon), making the Talon into an SHF would only make it useless...

i don t think we get another SHF - i think igiss mentioned some time ago that he wasn t fond of the SHF class. - so from what i see ... the only "new" SHF we get is the Mjolnir - rheinland patrol ship ( light gunboat somewhat - not to be messed up with a gunship.... )
the new talon looks good in space - more compact than the current talon. - ( but i think its not decided if its a talon replace or a nephtys replace )
either way - some characteristics will remain:
- eagle powercore ( small power )
- slow turning, strafing
- 6xlvl10 guns
thats what makes this ship different from others and thats also what balances it. ... the name might change, the appearence etc... .
edit: for what its worth... the order will loose the marsflyer ( which was never a real order ship anyway - or only as much as the camera ship ) ... that will go to the harvesters faction and be exclusive to them.

But I think the Talon needs a name change. It's the only Order ship without a proper Egyptian God name.

I dont know what the names of our new capships are yet, not even sure if they have been named. I suggested Hathor for the carrier and Amunet for the Cruiser though.
