Most time they see Pirate ID'd vassal with FL IFF grouped with Outcast (for example) and the RP goes like this "Oh look, Outcasts -Let's deal with them". And I don't get your answer, whether the situations above are a sample of ID abuse or not. The way you judge things, it really is.
And if I wanted to be shown as a Rogue, I'd mount a Rogue ID and instead of having 75% core,I'd have 100%. Do I look like that stupid?
I'm judging the way you judged things. THen it would be abusing the IFF. I don't want to listen the tricks I should do to avoid abuse from their side.

Wait a second, aren't you free to say "I'm supporting OC?" You are free to do that, as far as I am concerned, because you are both unlawfuls.

@Toris, Pirate IDs can assist only the same IFF people. If I'm having an OC IFF and Pirate ID,then yes I can. That's why I think it's an abuse from their side when they see Pirate and OC, and they make an engagement notice only for OC, while they know pirate will be useless in such situation. And after OC they deal with Pirate. That's the problem.

Soooo affiliation finally means IFF, not unlawful, quasi-lawful and lawful scale? Bollocks.

RE: About an ID abuse - Mímir - 01-29-2015

What they want you to do is to create an Outcast character and a Corsair character and do exactly what you did before, just paying for 2 ships instead of one. Ironically that of course wrecks your character's roleplay, but hey in return you can skip the "2 mil or" before the "die" on those ID's Big Grin

Umm, if you are an Outcast IFF, on a Pirate ID, and they say "Engaging Outcasts, you can defend/attack them. I don't see the issue with your argument. It's not some trick, and nowhere did anyone say it's "Iff abuse" if you have an IFF of a Rogue or Outcast. Not sure where you conjured that up.

tl;dr - If you have an <insert name here> IFF, and someone says's "Engaging <Insert said IFF name here>", then that is an engagement notice to you, and you can attack back/defend yourself. Sorry that you want a OP ID that can attack anything, anytime, anywhere.

RE: About an ID abuse - Freeroamer - 01-29-2015

I think that using a Pirate ID to attack Lawful ship at all should be a rule break, if you want to attack lawful players then use a unlawful faction ID

RE: About an ID abuse - Tutashkhia - 01-29-2015

Okay,so you see the solution in making an <insert name here> IFF on my Pirate ID'd char. That's kinda stupid then. And is an IFF abuse too. If it won't be called an IFF abuse, then you will find some other way to just avoid it. I mean, avoid pirates carrying Outcast IFF(for example) and assisting Outcasts with Pirate ID'd Imperator(Or Heimdal).

And Freeroamer, I'm not talking here about attacking lawful ships whenever I want. I want them to not abuse our IDs (Pirate IDs). And I don't want to be suggested to do something to avoid it.

Hello Freeroamer, and welcome back to the Forum. I see you are a bit behind on the latest news, that discussion is already over.

Oh. Okay. (Delete my little post)

RE: About an ID abuse - Freeroamer - 01-29-2015

@Tutashkhia, Why dont they just force no IFF or Freelancer IFF with the Pirate ID?
