Why the hell would TAZ care what happens to the far-out omicron zoners? They're (they as in zoners in general) not a true united faction anymore than pirates/freelancers are. As far as TAZ would probably be concerned, why would they bother trying to keep those far off people they might occasionally have contact with instead of focusing their resources on more pressing threats?

Or they could possibly be engaged in occasional black market Nomad material trade. Which I feel might make up a decent amount of the funds they receive.
