CULTIST FILE: SECURED SERVER
We’ve salvaged something from these… “Cult of technology” fanatics. BDM Salvage teams within Hudson managed to secure something from a wreck of their attack force. What seemed to be a cargo container was in fact discovered to be a secure data server containing 72-Exabytes of encrypted information, how much of it garbage from the gold is what we don’t know exactly. We’ve had to run this though the Metastablity for decryption and analysis. We have to be careful not to intrude on any drive encryption processes, although the Kommissariat have managed to decrypt the first batch of data and we don’t know if its good news or bad news-
Data-Drive U-R4F26:
This was a shock, the biggest shock we’ve ever encountered on terms of our cyber security. We don’t know how these got out and we don’t know how these were handled prior to us obtaining them. These are our most upto date encryption codes not to mention a few files of classified research regarding technological research from comm links to FTP networks. They had Rainbow tables on our current entire encryption database and had even more that dated back two years ago. We’re currently using their methods for information breach to secure our networks from further attacks and creating new methods for any more attack vectors they might use, because I’m not willing to risk any more breaches. Who knows how long these cultists have been digging through our secure traffic without the Cyber-Kommando even knowing about it. Besides, there isn’t much else apart from the odd data cluster of private transmissions that we don’t all know about- Hopefully we’ll get these discrepancies sorted out to the source. I’ll have to thank the cultists for that.
Data-Drive U-R4F25:
Another shock, Rheinland Military access codes and fleet tactical codes were found in this data drive. Something seemed off, these seem to be accurate down to ship docking clearance, territory access codes and RADAR/LIDAR detection frequencies. I might want to bring this to testing immediately, this probably contains key technologies that assemble the needed to by-pass patrols, security checkpoints and automated scanners. Not only that, but we’ve seemed to obtain some access codes to armoured vehicles… The cult of technology don’t just seem interested in ships. Maybe that’s why the occurrence of their so called “invasion stations” exist; they’re not just interested in space but also land. But now these codes are in our hands, I’m not willing to turn this information over the Rheinland Militar just yet; I might have use for them.
Data-Drive U-R4F25:
Right now, the RFP hasn’t really been the eye of our concern. These are pretty much the same as the military, containing patrol movements, TLAGSNET tracking information. Although we do have a nice list of the confiscation logs and access to police records, not exactly my forte for peace keeping but I guess the Cult seem to stick their noses though everything. Most of this drive seems empty, giving rise that each drive contains information sectioned to specific groups and organisations. Seems like they’ve yet to develop and interest for the Federal Police… Not like they do much than write tickets anyway. |

CULTIST FILE: SECURED SERVER
This batch of data we've been working on has been handled by the Kommissariat, we've been piecing parts here and there and have decided that we can now take the numerous data-drives we've collected from their automated combat vessels. I've had them working on two systems that we've come in contact recently when engaging cultist vessels within the Rheinland region, while they're not exactly distinctive copies- They're close enough to their variants give or take a few modifications that make them usable on our vessels.
While these issued models are capable to use of the Spectre, the Kommissariat has assured me that if we were to somehow obtain government authorisation for a larger vessel, we'd be able to use these weapons on said ship.
Data-Drive U-W9905:
White coats in the labs are calling this the "Twin Emitting Laser Particle Precision Bombardment System". I'm just calling it the Twin Gatling Laser (TGL), but I'm not going to skimp out on its details
The TGL is a individually infra-red/optical guided point defence system, utilising laser particle emitters that are further focused using prism lenses mounted down a gun-barrel like component that turn said laser into a precision beam that as it travels along , causes an area to completely ionise the surface the energy beam impacts, either causing destabilisation/excitement of electrons down to the atomic level upon its surface to create high concentrations of heat that might literally be able to melt though composite armour. What's fantastic about this is the system is that its probably way more accurate compared to the Radar based SOLARIS point defence system, the coming mass of fighter and bomber attacks can cause the SOLARIS system to be thrown off and the accuracy is generally far from famed. The TGL on the other hand thanks to its laser based system means that its fire-rate doesn't effect the overall accuracy and is interfered by radar-cross-talk that might cause errors in its targeting. In all terms, this is a bigger, badder, faster killing machine.
Data-Drive SD-W1071:
This is what I was very impressed to see, I just hope people on the outside aren't making calls over the neural net because when they cut short, signal loss isn't to blame. This is probably one of the first physically weaponized electronic warfare systems we've gladly developed with these cultist plans, we've classed this as a N-NEMP, or Non-Nuclear Electromagnetic Pulse. This is practically a large capacitor array that is equipped internally in the vessel, while it pretty much takes up a large segment for the use of charging capacitors, its effect is devastating to any system that is within range.
The system relies on a massive amount of energy to be stored within capacitors that take quite a while to charge. These capacitors are then passed out into high frequency microwave emitters that practically dump the high voltage energy that is comparable to a lightning blast. This light show is the EMP field in action, causing destabilisation of ships electronics, magnetic shielding and any wireless communications. WHat makes this perfect is not just the weapon itself, but the Spectres ship design. The Split-Ring-Resonators (SRR's) that form a sort of mesh or Faraday cage that almost spread out this interruption entirely across the hull and electronics and to then bounce off, causing no harm to the source itself. Practically an unintended miracle of its design philosophy. The shields can be modulated to allow passage of said energy out of the vessel without causing any significant drain on its systems, although this'll probably take some work.

Environmental & Visual Scanning Matrix
We've recently received another shipment of resources needed to produce the next needed segment of the vessel. The EVSM is the fundamental data-gathering equipment designed to observe, copy and report every last detail of the space that surrounds the ship. Equipped with the most sensitive, intelligent and sophisticated sensor array on the market for its covert and non-extruding design.
Originally part of project Ghost Veil, the system is core design feature was to enable unparalleled detection capability of other solar objects and the environment that surrounds itself on a level never seen before. A multitude of Phased array radar sensors built into the actual top layer of the ships 'skin' gives allows for the radar plate to become indistinguishable from the vessels hull, but also allows for multiple radars to be installed instead of relaying on a single rotating module mostly seen on larger capital vessels. As such, this gives the ability for the vessel to be scanning in all directions. As many eyes as the Hydra itself.
But not only are we relying on this system to detect oncoming solar objects, but we've also included lines of embedded microscopic optical sensors to visually scan the area surrounding the vessel almost system wide. This is to be linked with the ACMA that is still currently in development, this will be the eyes that enable the ship to imitate the objects surrounding it to the smallest detail, its surface optical laser scanning, infra-red layer scanning and electromagnetic sensors should be able to not only allow for visual manipulation of objects, but also send back false or imitating signals back to anyone who is unlucky enough to be fooled into thinking nothing is there by having the SSR resonate back false data. Gamma radiation is something that we're still struggling to imitate, but hopefully we won't need to find ourselves using it in any case.
If the case of active camouflage is needed against a close moving entity, the system is able to not just track the vessel, but also manipulate the images being projected by the ACMA to ensure that its direction will ensure a lack of warped perception. At a close radius, a single ship shouldn’t be too hard to deceit as the positional projection can be changed without problem by possibly using the available motorised optical sensors which can be placed all along the hull of the ship giving a full 360 degree view radius of around 25 klicks that don't give off a radar signature compared to standard radar scanners, “speed-of-light” computing optical chips, and a highly sophisticated quantum and binary supercomputer at our disposal on the XU-001. A constantly changing position of a live simulated image shouldn’t be too hard to fool. If the amount of angles an independent image that needs to be projected towards a target start to increase to around 3-4 different positions there will be a slight warping effect from different angles and contours of the ship will become slightly visible if someone takes a second-look. But then again, what kind of idiotic commander will allow himself that close to enemy vessels and allow a cloaked ship to be surrounded, by then even standard EM readings will notify a scanner and even risk physical collision or enter the ships cloak bubble and reveal its location to enemy vessels. Distance and course correction is key. The only problem is, because it's used in conjunction of the first layer of iron ball paint, it will need to be incorporated with the custom ship panels thats are constructed for this vessel and can't be wrapped around any regular vessel without compromising radar stealth capability that or even increase its energy detection field.

Equipment Schematics: Spyglass Array
While we're actually managing to keep on track with the reworking of the hull-plating and keeping design changes to a minimum. We don't know if we can even call it a test rig anymore. Weapons and armour have already been brought upto war-ship classification and not to mention the stealth technologies even put the U-Korps vessels to shame. Its certainly becoming the crown jewel of the Buro Flotilla.
After a recent encounter with the Lane Hackers though, we've actually obtained a new piece of equipment. We're currently getting whats left of the authorized engineering team to polish up on other modules as we're doing things section by section. This thing is already costing the department several billions in credits, yet we've managed to keep at least three quarters off record on our annual budget, and the rest being paid off through the Black-Fund. Progress has been slow... and delayed. But we're getting there.
Spyglass Sensor Array: Spectre Modification
Spyglass systems weren't originally part of the play here, but after assisting the the formation of the Lane Hacker engines we actually received a nice number of flight cases containing electronic components and what seems to be radar arrays. What we also received was a data-drive of how to assemble said components in a flexible schematic which can be easily adapted around the XU-Craft, found them to be similar to arrays found on the Order recon cruiser yet we've altered its design to minimise radar-cross-section and to incorporate the passive stealth technologies found presently on the surface-area of craft onto the skin of the antenna.
While I'm not calling the Lane Hackers out on malicious activities against the agency, we've done a thorough rundown on the components and the firmware of the array as to ensure no compromising access from outside sources and to install our own encryption services separate from regular communication arrays, not only that but we've installed physical shut-off's if a case of a network breach is detected.
We're continuing our work on it right now, It might take a week or two to incorporate along the vessel... But with situations ramping up both domestically and externally, I think I want this ship deployed as soon as possible before something starts on our home turf. |
