Emperor's Golden Garden Tavern - Xing - 11-10-2008 Isabelle heard the man' remark and inside her heart, she felt as if someone stabbed on her heart. Not a deadly wound, merely a scratch on her personnal pride. But it always hurt her when the people she considered her own treated her like a stranger... She said softly, more for herself than anything, "I am sorry..." Emperor's Golden Garden Tavern - Doc Holliday - 11-11-2008 Doc rose from his table shortly after finishing his meal. He was astonished at the display between the "dark stranger" and the Kusari woman. Her aggressiveness and resolve reminded him much of his late companion, Mary "Big Nosed" Kate. He wasn't leaving but moving to another area, perhaps to find sport in some form of gambling. He claimed his posessions as he moved, aware now that no place is truly safe. He then accepted the Saki paid for by the man and thanked him. As he passed the woman, he tipped his hat to her with a light smile. He noticed her trying to hide her look of disgust and maybe, some shame. "That was a fine display of swordsmanship," he told her, "Nice work and driving out the invader." He then motioned to the barkeep, "her tab is on me." Doc then made his way a few tables down and found what he sought, some gambling. With permission from those already there, he took a seat. Emperor's Golden Garden Tavern - kimiji - 11-11-2009 A short, young Japanese woman enters the tavern looking rather unnerved by the loud explosion in the street. Explosions of any kind were uncommon around the Emperor's Golden Garden. Kimiji prefered it that way. Calm and quite made for a much safer and more serene environment. She came up short as she saw yet another unfamiliar sight. Gaikokujin almost never trespassed into the eastern section. Kimiji slipped quietly to the eastern side, staying far enough from the gambling foreigner to maintain appearances, and knelt at a table, pulling out several documents. After arranging them side by side she let out a big sigh. "Sometimes I wish I had just taken my father's advice and joined the military..." she muttered, while staring down at the two applications titled "Samura" and "Kishiro." Sighing again she settled in to read over all the literature on both companies again and wait for the waitress. |
