????????
I doubt those 5 Makos were all of the Core fleet. There have to be much more caps as already stated.
Nontheless, Karst does have a point. The Core ID states that they can engage organisations considered hostile by them. The whole event could not even exist if the Core was not allowed to act according to this line in their ID.

Core got attacked by Zoners, Core sees Zoners as hostile and attacks the freeport. Here we go!

So, actually the bastilling does not make sense at all. If there had to be sanction, then that all Core ships get a FR5 on zoner rep to reflect their current roleplay.

*EDIT*
Read the sanction again. They should have also lost their guns for shooting the order ship again when it tried to leave the system, ok.

The nemesis is the only non shared official mako, it's my mako

RE: Please release the Core| Caps - Thyrzul - 05-04-2016

Why do I feel from some people's comment that they forgot Lyth's punishment is totally unrelated to the current Core vs Zoners drama? What he did was stupid, and I'm pretty sure there are substitutes of him in Core like 2iCs or something, so I don't think his release or suspension of ban is any warranted.

Karst however is right, Bastilling Core ships simply because they shot on Zoners, implying such is not allowed by their ID while it actually is, was a bad move. Other stuff like lack of RP or reengagement or anything like that is all right to be punished, but I don't think rules should pose an obstacle in the way of roleplay development.

@Jayce and @Wesker :
Ok, 5 Makos bastilled, but don`t tell me you don`t have any Threshers or Bullheads...

The flaw in that bolded part is glaringly obvious.

At the start of this ridiculous crusade, Core had not officially declared zoners (which means as a whole) hostile. and to declared a whole section of players as hostile for the actions of a very few lolindies is absurd in-and-of itself and smacks of blatant and rampant searching for excuses to blow up everything in sight.

You mean the fact that Core can shoot quasi-lawfuls (which are the Zoners by ID)? Nowhere does it say Core must be at war with unlawfuls or quasi-lawfuls to shoot them. Unless Zoners have been changed to fully lawful from their quasi-lawful that the wiki page of the ID states they are?

RE: Please release the Core| Caps - Yber - 05-04-2016

The ID clearly states they can shoot anything that is hostile. They weren't hostile when they first did it. Demagogues everywhere.

We have two shared Bullheads, my personal Bullhead, three shared Threshers, and 2 non-shared Threshers.

Put those against 9 Murmillos, see how you come out.

EDIT: Scratch that, two shared Threshers.

Lyth needs to be unbanned. The reason people posted for him was because he and his entire faction are under attack (by Literaly the whole community) and no one is willing to help him. So he gets an extended week long ban for defending his faction? That seems unfair to me.

That's just it,that was not the only reason the ships were sent to bastille but the bellow as well, let's not forget that

RE: Please release the Core| Caps - Karst - 05-04-2016

To clarify, some of the arguments here seem to be interpreting the engagement line as being the following:

"- Can attack lawfuls, unlawfuls, and quasi-lawfuls which belong to a house or organisation considered hostile by The Core within their zone of influence."

However, what the line actually reads is:

"- Can attack lawfuls, unlawfuls, quasi-lawfuls and ships which belong to a house or organisation considered hostile by The Core within their zone of influence."

If it were meant to be the former, surely it would have been worded as such, since there's absolutely no way in the English language to interpret the latter line as meaning the former.

Really though, that's a sidenote, since even if it did mean that it should be obvious to everyone that Zoners are considered "an organization considered hostile by the Core".

Also, please keep this thread clean. I don't want it locked because some people feel like spamming or making personal attacks.

RE: Please release the Core| Caps - realekki - 05-04-2016

My opinion:

1. fr5 core at zoner rep
2. add a line in the zoner-id "can engage core everywhere"
3. release the makos who only shoot at zoners (& keep the reengagers and so on in bastille)

best regards ekki

edtih says: lyth was banned for some reason, no need to unban him right now. (because: faction leader gets a ban, faction starts drama, faction leader unban to bring structure in that drama? no)
