It was rather hard to believe that Enma was one to like socializing with people. Given what Gen knew of Enma, she was the sort of person who got a nose piercing at the age of fifteen and told her parents it was not just a phase, only in adult. "You flatter me, signora," Gen told her, not letting her thoughts show on the outside. It was something she really needed to watch out for at times since it could get her in trouble. She also didn't dare say more because she felt like her voice could betray her mirth.

Clearing her throat, Gen tried steering her thoughts off the rather weird minds. "Ilena is the president's sister, as I said," she began, not daring to call Christina Martelli by her given name, as that would be impolite. "Quaint girl. Apparently only does what her sister tells her to. I'm sure she'd be open to suggestions if one were to make them. Also, she looks quite like her sister, I feel."

She sounded like she wanted to purge bad influences, and Gen understood that this was completely her intention. However, it wasn't that easy anymore, given that Enma had lost quite a lot of influence since she got booted from the Council chambers. "You want those being thorns in our 'ides?" she asked Enma, not expecting an answer. At this point, she had finished her cigarette and put it out in the ash tray she had pulled towards herself prior to this. "There's a number of them. The 101st Ghosts of Razgriz, for example. Apparently, people still believe they are an authority on Malta, which cannot stand. I will compile a report to the President soon and ask for the go ahead to expulse them from Malta unless the dissolve." Gen knew that President Martelli herself was an obstacle on their way to the top as well, though the issue wasn't easily addressed due to the problems it would represent. "The President herself is also not the most cooperative at times. She is a resolute woman who leads the Nacion well, though she's stubborn and proud."

Stroking a strand of hair out of her face, Gen hummed, still tasting the residue of the admittedly cheap tobacco on her tongue. "I doubt we'd be able to simply persuade 'er with arguments, if that's what you're asking. If you think you can use Ilena to pressure 'er, I believe it may or may not work depending on 'ow attached she is to 'er sister." It didn't sit well with her at all to deliberate blackmailing the President with the life of her sister, possibly. "Additionally, it is likely that Martelli still doesn't trust me. I was proposed by you, and we know that she knows about your blue care package," she said deliberately, meaning the Nomad inside Enma. "She's aware that all information coming from Corsica is compromised and unless we present 'er with a reason why she shouldn't think that, I can't really count on anything she says to me being the truth." There was something else Enma had wanted and she needed a moment to recall the last request. "Uh, no, I got nobody I know in Gallia. At least nobody with influence, that is. Only my family and they aren't nobles or anything."

Nodding, she listened to Enma talk, being quite aware that she wasn't hearing anything new. Of course it wasn't her job to dispense justice like some sort of hero, but Enma liked listening to herself, or so it seemed, and it was always so peaceful when she was busy acting like she knew better. "Quite right you are, signora," Gen replied to her, her tone saccharine to just allude to her thoughts without a way to actually prove that she was being disrespectful. "But why don't you leave this up to me? I'll be quite busy soon earning the President's trust, which is the 'ighest good on Malta right now." Her tone didn't change as she gave Enma her practiced smile. Gen intended to do what Enma wanted, even if it might mean that she needed to throw Enma under the bus as well to do her work. "Anything else, signora?"
