*clears his throat and takes a deep breath*

1. The design is supposed to be the rebuild of the Persephone into a full warship because at the current time it is absolutely terrible in combat. 13 guns total, 3 Heavy, 6 Standard and 4 light. Combine this with a heavy core and the third highest HP for a ship in game it's not justified for any of the above. 2650000 HP if you were wondering.

2. The design is to be a combination of Coalition and Zoner technologies. (Think Zoner Carrier and Coalition Carrier having a baby). Due to TAZ and the SCRA being allied for quite some time and none of the current zoner ships being directly made for war. There is RP planned to promote more on this ship. The design is supposed to be a Super-Heavy carrier as we're hoping to adjust a few things. Such as losing 2 standard guns and adding more secondaries. This is no longer the ancient starship of Zoner lore, but the advancement of it through years of study.

3. This was textured by a gent from Europe who I contracted and paid $30 for just texturing. He had to create a bit of it from scratch in order for the tech combination to make sense. And the textures are at 2k Resolution, he offered 4k as well considering when he saw how textures were for our ships in freelancer. Remember this ship is stretched to be about the size of a Nephilim so textures will also be affected like such. Here they are if you want to take a peek. 2k Textures Just so you know this total project has cost me $55 USD but if anyone believes they can do better, let me know.

4. I'll show it in game when I can. To quote a Red Alert 2 Tank unit: "Be Paitent" It's currently being hitboxed.

5. There are no plans to make this model open for Civillian use. Ever. Maybe as an "Open for SRP only" warship.

They don't 'yet'. And plain Zoners are not making this ship.

This will NOT be free use for any Zoners out there. So don't worry if you fear being spammed by these. At the current time, I will permit maybe one or at most two sister ships.

This ship was planned almost 2 years ago by my character Brettonias in seeing that eventually the Gallic Royal Navy would attack or push into Baffin. Low and behold THIS happened recently which gave me reason to push this project a bit faster.

I would like to remind people that we do not have THIS as the current Persephone. We have THIS.

Nota bene on textures - commenting on the non 4k p3d, and 4k is probably what it would take for a ship of this size to be passable with textures that aren't tiled, which FL probably wouldn't handle well.

The textures, though at least form fitting and not abhorrently broken for once, are custom painted and do not match Freelancer's aesthetic. They're also far too low resolution for a model of that size.

The model itself is entirely uninspired and is little more than a re-imagined battlestar, having next to nothing in common with the rest of the Zoner line sans maybe the Aquilon which is... another re-imagined battlestar.

I'm not keen on letting this thing in the game even if it does get a proper reskin. I'd much rather see a model at least somewhat reminiscent of the current Zoner design aesthetic.

And lets not forget that in the past, one group or another has decided that the Zoners SHOULD and MUST have enemies even if lore doesn't have them having any. In the past, the Corsairs have made that attempt in Omicron Theta, Bretonia at Freeport 1 (although that was more Bretonia and Dab instilling their dominance more than anything), various factions within the Omega 49 system attempting to impose their will upon Zoners because of Gran Canaria and most recently, the Core in Omicron Delta because of a couple of loose cannon Zoners opening up on their ships.

I still count myself blessed for my gift of good RP and diplomacy but I still hold to my old thought process, "If you want peace, prepare for war." I guess it's just the RL soldier in me.

2. The design is to be a combination of Coalition and Zoner technologies. What do you think a Tempest and an Aquillion combined would look like? That's the goal Durandal. It's not supposed to be 100% Zoner. Just the Pilot and Crew. And yes. They don't match the aesthetic cause the current Freelancer textures don't work with it from what I've seen. If anyone wants to prove me wrong I will be more than happy to give them the ship model to work with. At this time there are only two people who would be flying this ship. Myself and Mad John on just one ship. That's it. Not hundreds of others all at one time. One ship unless someone wishes to RP with me to make one of two sister ships, at max I said I would allow earlier.

Yeah , it be nice that the Zoners have a boost huh, by the way, making it SRP for RP sake? Thats ridiculous , dont even worth you guys putting time into that for only 1 player to have it.
