It is hard to inform law enforcement inRP while you ooRP do not even know about the upcoming attack, because it all happened in that "short" time when you were sleeping and at work.
So by the time the info inRP gets to law enforcers, there is nothing to protect anymore.
Even for Core2 base, where it is 24 hours. It looks like email notifications redirected to your phone might be necessary.
