There are many possibilities. If nothing else I can send a copy to him too. I have to ask, when you reinstall it, did you remember to reboot before playing? That is another very simple but common problem. If that IS the case you might be able to get away with a repair reinstall and then reboot. Who knows how many times I do that around 4:30.
