Chika nodded at Kiri's words. "The next target seems very vulnerable, but that could change at any time. Right now we need to break the Navy's morale so they learn to not attack us again. If we really do recieve the help we've been promised, then this should be easy. If." Chika scanned over the various papers littering the table. "Our intel suggests that they're attacking tonight. Hopefully our reinforcements will be here by then. If not, our defense wings can at least hold them off." Chika stood up. "I will make a trip to Kyoto today. I can't guarantee that I will be back in time for the initial defense, but I won't return empty handed. Ganbatte ne." She turned to the door, signalling the end of the meeting.

September 16th, 826 A.S., Kinkaku-ji
The matriarch stood looking out of one of Kinkaku-ji's windows with her arms folded infront of her. She wore he combat flight suit and her hair was tied back in a ponytail. Outside the Shrine Base, a sizable debris field indicated the recent large scale assault on the base by the Kusari navy. A turret of a Tokugawa just drifted past the window. She turned around.
"Chika-san. I want to congratulate you and the Shrine Guard on the victory and the preservation of the shrine base. It sustained minimal damage and is already back to being fully operational. However, this victory only strenghens my idea that this base should be reinforced against future attacks, now that the enemy is aware of our position.
I task you with reinforcing the shrine base. Its structural integrity must be improved and its defences optimised. The shrine base should be turned into a fortress."
