As I see it, a Gunboat should be dead meat to anything heavier than it, but delete snubs. At least that seems like what people were going for when making GB's. Right now they are kind of in the middle, good at nothing. A gunboat also costs around 90x more than a Fighter, so I think being able to counter 3 is like a bare minimum. Some part of the population hated snacs, some of them loved 'em. Now we're talking about balancing the rest of the guns and classes but, why for really? SNAC got nerfed because some people with powers disliked it, that's about it. The rest of the guns will get reworked on how wesker or the rest of the dev minority will want, and I'm not saying it will be a negative change or a positive one, I'm just saying, it will be like that, and thats about it. have fun frens. I think the smarter thing would have been to never split the turrets, but instead increase the power consumption for raozrs and other turrets so that only two could be fired. Gunboat turret split didn't have anything to do with gunboats being too good at killing fighters or too good/bad at anything really. It, like the turret split on cruisers and battleships, was done to force people to use loadouts with more variety. It did that, but whether or not that was a good design decision is subjective. |
