The Barge is currently not available, neither for purchase in-game nor through requests.
That may change later in the future.

I can't see why a 5ker couldn't be modified to an 8 or 10ker via SRP.
In addition to being a nightmare to pilot, the Barge can be easily abused using jump technology.

The only way to move the Barge is with Jump tech and I'm also not seeing how it could be abused with it being so slow and requiring a team for support.
