First up, thanks for bringing this to our attention in the correct manner.

' Wrote:Why don't you ask your friend in gb who engaged us without even a word "engaging"...just started shooting us

@ Aduka: This thread is for responding to feedback, not starting a tit-for-tat flame war. Whoever this other person was, that is not the issue here. Just because others have low standards doesn't mean we necessarily have to follow suit.

I assume the interaction was ongoing. The image shows other players making remarks, one part of a fight which is, as Jinx put it, out of context. RP must precede a fight. An engagement notice alone is not RP. If there is evidence of this being the only RP then send it. Otherwise I have to assume that the player involved didn't break any rules, and will take his word for it that there was RP before the fight.

Having said that, if a fight is already happening, saying one word to announce you are going to participate or become involved is a small gesture to alert people of your intent. It's just not the best gesture one can make.

In a situation where there is a war between two factions, we should bear in mind that the war is between characters, not players.

Yesterday BHG|Shark and a few others were ramming a gunboat in a nfz in order to try to ram the vessal out of range of the zoner radius. Ramming a gunboat or larger is against the rules, plus abusing the NFZ radius by claiming "no weapons were fired" meanwhile attempting to cause harm, is also quite unsportsmanlike.

I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused. I assure you that if something was done wrong it was done out of ignorance not by intention. This apology goes to everybody who were involved in the incident.

@Lunaphase:
Thanks for the feedback.

I've been in touch with dead_shot in private, and the faction leadership is considering the matter.

//edit: @dead_shot: Just saw your edit.

I'm satisfied this was a genuine mistake, and as you can see, the player has apologised.

End of matter.

Perhaps you should instruct your members to not join in in killing a Liberty Rogue bomber when he is fleeing from two fighters and almost dead? (Oh, and the only weapons the bomber has is Debis and an SNAC, and no bots or bats)

Sorry if I make it sound rude but since I joined the LR my respect for the BHG| faction has gone downhill from the members i've seen and what they do in combat situations.

Can you give us the name of the pilot involved please? If it was me, then I have something to add on the matter.

I'm not the Liberty Guildmaster, I just play a Bounty Hunter on holovid. (BHG|Colt.Severs, actually, who IS a holovid star.) However, I'd have to say that without actually posting the specific names and/or links to photos to support your issue, this is basically a moot point.

Many people who join pirate factions find themselves disliking hunters. Why? It's quite obvious - our job is to hunt you down and capture or kill you. We're not the BAF with delusions of honor and chivalry. For the most part, we're reformed criminals and/or people with grudges against criminals. (Read some of our backstories - many hunters became so because their families were killed by pirates.)

There are certain criminals that deserve our respect. Phate, for example, has a well deserved reputation. But most of you - you're the common scum of the universe, and best swept out with the rest of the trash. If there's a paycheck in it for us, then we're going after you, and we're planning on surviving ourselves to cash that paycheck.

That sounds like the best time to kill anyone - when they are weak and on the way out. And complaints about the bomber - well, that's hardly our fault. You chose to fly it.

That deals with the first complaint. Second complaint is too general to deal with.

One of those times when fairplay and rp are in opposition. Who's to say which road you should take really.
