i hate vista... i hate vista... i hate vista.... someone tall what the problem is because it works find on a other old computer i got... but it can hardly run the game, and it use XP

problems - tazuras - 04-04-2009

Yeah, there should be a string in there called install key.... Think that is created when the game is installed, supposed to be at least... Can you run the installer in some sort of compatibility mode?

If you have another computer you can install it on you can also copy the install key (InstallKey) from that computer and that should get it to work. This sounds like the best option actually, if you need me to walk you through this I can do that.

that would be great

problems - tazuras - 04-04-2009

Not too complicated, go to the registry of the computer it works on, open the string called InstallKey, copy down the value data or copy it and paste it into a text file and send it to the other computer. Go into the freelancer registry file in that computer, Edit>New>String Value, name it
Code:
InstallKey
and paste or type in the data from the other computer.

i didnt understand to much of that, where is the registry data

problems - tazuras - 04-04-2009

you have skype? (so i can walk you through it more easily)

problems - tazuras - 04-04-2009

it's the data stored in the string marked InstallKey, you have to double click on it to open it.

after test is not fonctional :nono:

Can you be more specific so i can troubleshoot it. Also did your registry file look exactly the dame as paradoxx's before you did this?

Edit: Well, since you have yet to be more specific swif, if this doesnt work for you you should try copying over all the account ID related strings:
Code:
InstallKey
MPAccountName
MPAccountNameSig
