' Wrote:my point. is that there is a problem when you CD someone, and that someone has a large capital vessel. and they open fire without a word.

if they are allowwed to do that. well. i will make a gunboat with razers and pulses so that i can pirate, and then when the police cd me, i will fire all of my guns at them. killing the police instintly. pvp abuse anyone?

Sorry for the tone, but...

My point, however, is that if for whatever reason F9 didn't tell you the ship from 9.9k away (loadout too, although that takes awhile to click through), your scanner will tell you everything from 4k away. Longest CD range isn't that far. You can scan them before you can shoot them. I recommend it. You'll live longer.

Oh, as for that GB, have fun pounding a Liberator with those... you're well within your rights to open up on them after they've attacked you, if they were silly enough to attack something they hadn't scanned then too bad for them if it takes umbridge.

Removal of the CD = attack is unnecessary, because you can easily identify people before they come into CD range. I highly suggest mapping your scan key to something like "v", it's very useful no matter what you're playing.

Now... does anyone actually want to discuss the original purpose of this thread, or should someone just rename the thread to "CDs and attacking, round 7"?
