RE: Making a Star Fly - Starfliers - 02-03-2022

"I'm sure one of my pilots can get a handful of HNP-Class engines. How many would you need to achieve an adequate installation? In case compatibility fails on one, I'll probably bring more than the three. As for the modular sections inside, I'll get the designs and materials list from Orbital Spa & Cruise for the crew quarters, lounge and leisure areas. The research equipment on board Starflier Base will be moved, though the suites themselves will need to be remade to fit into the Shukensha-Class. Does the Renzu Corporation have high-capacity digital servers? We're running civilian prosumer ones on the NX-01 and need to expand the capacity to hold more of our research data."

Leon looks at the controls for the Shukensha-Class hologram, pressing a couple buttons. A handful of errors show up, until he gets to to the setting he wanted to see. The view's filter was altered to show the internals of the liner.

"It looks like... three large modular rooms with two smaller ones make up the inside of the liner. I'll have to put together a layout that will work for me. Do you have an estimated list of resources needed to make your suggested modifications?"

Maria smiles. As we told you, majority of it already included into basic package. Additional job will be around 20.000.000 SC. Plus, we need at least 6 HNP-engines. So, do you really need that list? Maria sips her beer.

A curious look was placed on Leon's face. One that had an inkling to question what he just heard.

"The six engines will be easy to procure... though the twenty million, nothing is ever that easy. I mean no disrespect, Maria, but I'd like my pilots to put in a bit of flight time getting resources in to make this happen. A simple credits transfer isn't going to be enough. I will need a list of resources necessary to make the modifications possible. The blueprint for the research room will detail what we need there, and I'll ask Orbital what's needed for their rooms."

Leon takes a deep breath in, long one out.

"We're designing a custom Shukensha-Class, one that will be the epitome what the Starfliers is about. I hope you understand, this isn't a standard request. I'm willing to put in the work to make this possible."

That's quite interesting ,our last client decided to deliver materials by his own means. Sure, you'll get list. Renzu relies on IC logistics, so we get what we need. Maria shrugs her shoulders. Let me finish blueprint. Then she looks back at Leon: We need engines for testing. Judging by my experience, couple of them will be burned. And......there we go.
  • Bio-Stability Monitors 10,000
  • Energy Field Equipment 5,000
  • High-Temperature Alloy 10,000
  • Med-Stasis Bands 5,000
  • Optronics 5,000
  • Quantum Multiplexors 15,000
  • Shape-memory Alloy 10,000
  • Ship Hull Panels 15,000
  • Mobile Medical Unit 2,500
  • Industrial Materials 10,000
  • Basic Alloy 20,000

"Perfect! Once I get the needed designs and materials from Orbital and from home base, I'll put together the final required resources list. Once that's done, I'll instruct Rex to start making the rounds towards your shipyards in Shikoku."

His look shifts to the beer he's sipped on.

"This bottle, where can I buy more of it? It's growing on me."

RE: Making a Star Fly - Xenord - 02-09-2022

Maria smiles. New Berlin. Best beer comes from Rheinland. The keg of it will be delivered to your ship. Maria sips her beer. So, I presume we made a deal. But there is one more question....Have you choose her name?

RE: Making a Star Fly - Starfliers - 02-10-2022

The control panel for the holographic unit was still unclear to Leon. He attempts to close the unit, but instead switches the filter to power management. This reminds him of another aspect of the ship that needs some work.

"Almost there, Maria. I think we are nearing the end, though there's two other things. Our previous conversation over subspace mentioned the powercore, seeing as you said it'll be a massive job to replace it, and I said I didn't need it replaced at the time. The infocard here states the power management of the standard Shukensha-Class model to be around 90,000 units. To run all of my hyperspace equipment, I need 100,000 units of power."

Leon chuckles awkwardly.

"A ten percent increase in capacity, could that be done? The other item I need to discuss is something odd. I'm wishing to dismount a particular piece of equipment from another ship, and have it mounted on the Shukensha-Class."

Upon hearing Maria ask for the ship's name, Leon smirks.

"The Aquila."

RE: Making a Star Fly - Xenord - 02-10-2022

Auxiliary powercore? Maria glances through blueprint. Sure, we'll place it there. What about that piece of equipment? After glancing at blueprint she looked to Leon: Good name. I like it. Aquila, then, is almost ready to be born.

RE: Making a Star Fly - Starfliers - 02-11-2022

"Are you familiar with the Corvo-Class cruiser? There's a particular scanner on that ship that would help us a great deal. I wish to have it retrofitted onto the Aquila."

The planning is going smoothly, with most systems been discussed. Leon is happy with the conversation so far.

"I appreciate you taking the time to talk the deeper details of my Starflier ship."

RE: Making a Star Fly - Xenord - 02-16-2022

You want that scanner installed? Maria glances through blueprint again. We had something ike that few years back. Sadly IC belives that Shukensha is a more of a status symbol, rathen than workhorse. Hmmmm I need to get older blueprints. But I think we can get it into work.
