The AEGIS concept - Qunitinius~Verginix - 01-06-2007 Before anything else, What are the "goals" of this faction. It does seam pretty awesome to float around and act like a machine but what do we do? Allignedwith lane Hackers so does that mean we pirate? Or do we wait till the next person who needs some Money from a bounty to chase after us..... We will not pirate, unless its for RP reasons, i.e. a ship has mox, you now machines love the mox (our cardimine) But basically we will fly from system too system looking for bored people to fight. Speaking of Mox, i just had an idea that is soo crazy it is basically useless. Due to the AI system, all AEGIS ships in the fleet must have mox aboard. I.E. small fighters cant fly far from the command ship so the command ship must "refuel" the fighter. Hmm... why not? Since mox deperish it would oblige AEGIS to trade at least with a couple of the bases where mox is sold. And you can also assume that once in the mox in the cargo hold of one AEGIS is exausted, the AEGIS must stop any activity and begin to look for mox... like a drug addict in abstinence. If the mox empties the AEGIS system dies, which would also bring in support units such as large trains (of our faction or a third party) to refuel the large ships which will then be fueled to the lesser ships, which would also make them targets and bring in a new element of battlefield support. Ill have to test run how much MOX lasts in an average elite light fighter/very heavy fighter too see if its even plausable, if it lasts for around five minutes, that maybe good enough to RP, all ships (carried on the command ship would just stay in formation until the "fuel" arrives. I mean the other side of the coin as you have suggested would make the AEGIS fleet react like Robo Cop 2. Which would be interesting sure enough too see a whole battle fleet get its next fix, but Im not sure thats realistic enough. |
