Look at modern planes.
But yes, pirate train containing human cargo at the exception of Slaves look wrong.
But there is nothing against that in the rules so..

VIPs come with luxory cabins - thats why they take up so much room

prisoners come with a high security cabin

etc. - so you can basicly haul them in anything you like. - even in RP, no matter what people scream about.

Planes don't work in vaccum. I'd assume there isn't a life support and heating system fitted into that pod to keep people alive. As a jury-rigged peice of pirate tech, I'd assume that pod is as thin-skinned as it looks to pack in as much cargo as possible.

And I've always RPed the Prisoners Bowex carries as sedated and carried in small pods. More expensive, but as a corporation we can afford it. It also explains the (relatively) high buy price.

I can't really see them being carried in a miner ship... Borderworld Transport for one or two.

Unless of course, they need to go places without getting noticed...

In a slave liner?

Reread the Pilgrim's infocard then decide yourself. They're decommissioned passenger liners that were used in the pre-jump gate days, and are frequently re-pressurised by Slavers. The watchword is frequently, not always.

One of the reasons I like the Heavy Tanker is that with its large single cargo bay it can be configured in so many ways. For lower level passengers, refugees, prisoners, spacer crew, tourists, scientists, etc but not VIP's or higher types it can be simple to rig up knock-down accommodations for them. The description does state a single large open cargo area. It also states it is capable/designed to carry larger items like cap ship components but those are not available. Heavily armored with nearly the max cargo load in the game & fair firepower, especially with the new turrets & with the advanced shield it makes a fairly secure transport. Considering what is in the ship description I wish I was able to use it to buy cap ship components like turrets etc & transport them to where they might be needed to those who might not be able to purchase them themselves if my rep was good enough to buy them.
