Good thing I don't trade at peak hour. If I see >120 players I dont log in. and I'm experimenting with different names at the moment to see what suits me better.

Many of you have the impression I think all pirates are bad people, not so. Many are reasonable, just take a reasonable amount of isk I can afford to leave and go. However some are just griefers out to cause pain.

You are aware of what you are doing, aren't you? You destroy the base of the roleplay of others with your attitude. All your previous statements make it clear for me, that you should play Open Singleplayer rather then ruining the fun of others here. That sickens me to the end.

Maybe you should find out for yourself who the pirates are? Write their names down. Avoid those ones that you don't like. Bounty on the forums those ones who pirate you. You know... ROLEPLAY.

I'll bet you enjoyed yourself when I chased you through Kusari. I was one tradelane away from laz0ring the crap outta you before you reached your destination and docked. Whether you can admit it to yourself or not is another matter.:)

Pirates are what make the game interesting. I get a great deal of satisfaction from worming my way out of being mugged, or running a blockade and sticking my fingers up at the blockaders through the open comms as I float past, or cheesing it like a bat outta hell to a friendly base with a bomber up me clacker, or counting my remaining lives after an allied ship happened along at just the right moment. It's that sort of thing that makes the game worth playing for me and a large portion of the populace here.

Drop all or die?

Do you understand, taht not all people who are unlawful are pirates who want your cargo? In rp terms tehy dont want that cargo reach its destination.. quite logic isn't it?

Buts its quite foolish to expect it. Oh and whats your trader name. I give special treatment for powertraders who cruisse before you start "He he he, hola senor, it seems you want to give me someth....." *CD* "Now pay the damn sum of 3 000 000 or be turned into spacedust" *cruissing agian* *CD* "Im not a joker, guns will prove it if my words can't" ... pew pew pew..... *Puff.

Then ofcourse teh Ivan comes to take all the loot:D

Ech alright back to the main point. If your not goign to change your views, Its time to take a leave. IF your not playing with me, I wont play with you... but you wont like this, instead of occupieing a slot, which can be used by a player who atleast tries to learn RP, you better tike your leave. Sorry its just a person I am.

Hmm...

Lots of energy here. Right. Mordrom here.
For the record I am an indy pirate. That means I don't flash nuttin. I do carry a pirate ID. I also fly an IMG Gunboat. Before anyone starts flaming, I actually RP'd this character into existance with equipment and posted story... LONG before the server upgrade, so no crying, kthx.

As to ways to avoid pirates:

Well... most pirates are going to set up where they are likely to catch traders with swollen bellies of cargo. I myself vary. Lately, I've been just cruising and seeing what I run into without any specific pattern or location. More interesting for me that way. I don't like being predictable. With all the rules governing pirates, you've got a wonderful chance to escape even if you are accosted. I myself will usually announce my intention, then pause to roll a ciggie or sip my coffee before I ever do anything else. It's become a bit silly, I know... but I've had to deal with too many people crying foul because they lose in an encounter. Ah well what can you do?

Long range scans, shortrange, check weps and cargo... these are all good tactics. Use whatever you have at your disposal. Rest assured the pirate will too.

Have fun!

Mordrom

My observations have revealed the reason why one might not want to play in single player.

Other players are bad when you're trading.
Other players are good when you're playing admiral.

And as a side note, somehow I manage to never run into a hostile player when I trade or smuggle. It's not difficult, you just need to use some imagination. Guess where they're going to be camping lanes - and DON'T go there. Guess where they're going to be camping jumpholes - DON'T go there. Work your way around them, using an unexpected path. There's always another way around, you know. It's not just the quickest way.

The single fact that I powertrade across the Omegas with a Corsair-hostile IFF and ID doesn't make anything very easy, now does it?

Somehow I manage, and somehow I fund capital ships with that money.
And some of the most fun times in the game were when I was playing cat-and-mouse across the entire Omegas with the OPG. That was brilliant fun, and brilliantly terrifying.

Ah, the lot of a Molly.

Maybe if people wouldn't think you hated pirates if you stopped complaining about them all the time.
