Rheinland Taxation Feedback and Discussion - Montezuma/Kukulcan - 09-22-2009

Does this mean that when im carrying engine components to southampton on my Bowex shire that i will get -pirated- by the RM?

If thats a yes, then i think you are going to loose more than you gain from this.

If you want people in rheianland companies, this is the WRONG way to go about it, all you will end up with is an area more deserted than kusari simply because the base of all RP are traders, and you will see nothing but the odd cardi-slaves smuggler if you inact this.

No, the presence will even drop a bit due to our patrols and incoming goods aren't restricted any more.

If you think that 150.000 credits on a 8.000.000 credit profit is too much, then please, stay out. The tax is reasonable and if are not seeking for some conversation (I will repeat myself here): please, stay out. And it is no pirating, as we are not opening fire as long as you do not clown around. If you do not want to pay the tax, you are free to go. But you need to take your cargo with you back to Bretonia or back to Oder shipyard, depends on where you came from. Pirates do not offer this.

I already explained it to you: Synth Foods is a Liberty based company, profiting from selling food. So we can demand a small part of it.

I think this is going to backfire epically...

powertraders will just run like hell, so no rp there

a lot of traders will just avoid Rheinland altogheter now. first you wade trough pirates to try and avoid losing money, then the RM "pirates" you 200m from your destination? with tax amounts that some pirates won`t even ask for?

this si going to result in silly cat and mouse games between (factionised) traders and the RM.

I`m all for making Rheinland more busy and popultaed. but I feel that this is not the way to do it.

if I come in with my Bowex, from bretonia, I lose money in O3 if I`m unlucky enough to meet some (lol)pirates. then the RM taxes me for delivering goods. then i have to pay to haul cargo out again. then I get pirated in O7 or 3 again wiith some lousy luck.

I`m no powertrader. but that doesn`t really sound appealing at all..

To get this straight:

Tax is between 100.000 and 200.000. Profits are between 6.000.000 and 8.000.000. That is only 1% of the profit. If that is too high, you can consider yourself a powertrader in my eyes.

Like I always say, the lawfuls are worse than the pirates when it comes to pissing you off, ripping you off, and taking your money -_-

Is this honestly needed? What, do the RM not want to trade like everyone else to fund their ships? I really dont mean to flame here, but honestly, this is ridiculous.

Agreed with the others, you're trying to bring more activity into rheinland, but the actions you're taking to that end are going to cause the opposite.

depending on my cargo, I have to pay 400k in 1 go. and that`s exluding the usual pirates. with the current trade routes (especially Bowex ones) that is indeed some money I`d love to keep in my pocket.

and still: the other point still stands: this will scare people off, rather than reel em in.
no offence: but if the RM needs money, do some trading yourself to Kusari. that will improve rp and teh number of players in both Kusari and Rheinland.

I fear that this will have negative consequenses, rather than good ones.

The RM has enough money to fund the ships, trust me. It is about RP. There is a war and Rheinland needs to fund this war... raised taxes on foreigners are a reasonable step to get this funds. Those traders gain profit and we partake on the profit with this very low taxes.

You seem to forget the point that Rheinland faction traders are free of this taxes.;)Another good side effect should be, to get more people into the arms of the Kanzler and our companies.

And believe me, we won't tax every single trader to the death or try to enforce this to 150%... if we catch one randomly, he will be taxed. If another one is passing by at this moment, we won't tax him. Come on... that isn't that hard to understand...

settled players won`t switch.

and silent mute traders may slap an ALG id on their Whale whilst hauling tourists, but thay aren`t exactly a gain to Rheinland rp y`know.

As the leader of ALG, I will take steps against those morons personally. Thanks to the faction laws.
