Problematic scenario - fwolf - 04-16-2007 This rule about pirating should be changed. Cruisers and destroyers should be allowed to pirate, but not battleships. Outcasts, hessians and blood dragons dont have gunboats but they have cruisers. Theres the rheinland pirate cruiser too. Why not to use it? As for the trading, I find it fine. If you want to known what is a horrible trade, go play Frontierspace. Discovery have some of the best trade routes. Complaining about these routes is typical for the adepts of the capship culture. Battleships as accomplishments? Common, battleships dont have thrusters, are slow and theres that little piece of asteroid who comes to the front of the cockpit while on cruiser and keeps the ship spinning up (I dont known if this is still happening in the latest versions). Most players who want battleships are the ones who dont have skill and need to feel secure behind tons of armor. Battleships dont enter trade lanes and jump gates easily, and stuck at asteroids. The rheinland BS for example, try to pass on Bering asteroid fields with it, its a nightmare. And the Spyglass trying to enter a jump gate? Another nightmare, the cockpit is very far back from the front of the ship. Accomplishment for me, was to buy a raven claw and fill it with four codenames. Now for piracy, I think that 5 million is too high for a 2 hour pass. I agree for 1 million per hour pass. If youll not pirate that trader again for some six hours, you ask 6 million. Simply as that. Problematic scenario - Thomas East - 04-16-2007 @BFH - Well i would agree, with nightfall there, if your trader is not TAGED HF than you clan can not do any thin about it. @Nightfall - Quote:Also, Thomas, I thought the NovaPG were following the Bushido. The way of the Samurai. I'll have to talk to Redbaron about this when I see him. What might this way of the Samuri be, acording to? I think im following the code? Problematic scenario - Dab - 04-16-2007 Well to answer the beginning question as I did not get a chance to read this till it was already 20 long posts, I believe that using the cruiser in such a way would be violating the rule. Given that, there is still room for a compromise. One that is feasible in RP. Allow the cruiser to assist pirating ships, but do not allow the cruiser within 10-20k range of the piracy incident. This allows him to assist in hunting the ship, and to come in and assist if a military ship ambushes the piracy party, while keeping the massive firepower out of range long enough for the transport to get prepared on its escape (face it, when it just starts moving, a cruiser can kill it in under a minute.). Problematic scenario - Fellow Hoodlum - 04-17-2007 Lets just keep it simple, and within the stated rules ... No pirating in cruisers and battleships, if you want to go make money use your fighters and gunboats. Keep the big boys out till you want to take on the forces trying to kill your asses ... Never said pirating was going to be easy. Can't have it both ways ... Hoodlum Problematic scenario - supernova - 04-17-2007 @Nightfall: *raises hand*I know your battleship name. Problematic scenario - TankTarget - 04-17-2007 Here is how it should be...pirates should use fighters and gunboats...GBs should be allowed because they are what real pirates actually use. @Flyer.... I know you are working on your RP but it needs to be fast not just stories but in-game conduct I know you well enough to know you need to work on it so get busy whenever your demented comp decides to do its job... And his trader was HF tagged... and Flyer if it is HF tagged 10% of profit comes to me... Problematic scenario - BestFlyerHere - 04-17-2007 @Everyone- The only trader I have is HF-tagged. @Tank - Why should i give you 10 percent of my money? I single-handedly bought Vespucci. Anyway, all of my ships are personally funded, and the only money you've ever given me was 8 months ago when I joined, and that was like 10 mil. Problematic scenario - Qunitinius~Verginix - 04-17-2007 Lol, bestflyer he is the faction leader and if he demans that Ten Percent of your traders profit is going to the faction, the I would suggest you listen hehehehe. Verginix Out Problematic scenario - BestFlyerHere - 04-17-2007 ooc: pssst, I know him in RL. So what, I get kicked out of HF. Meh, I'll pull a Supernova (sorry mate, i had to.) and make my own faction. Problematic scenario - Dab - 04-17-2007 And that faction will crumble. Sometimes faction leaders cannot pay for everything themselves. Tank had to pay 400-600 mil for Vespucci, then you guys still owe ME another 720 million. Korrd helps me pay for things for AW as well. We both pool money into the treasury. All the 350 pre-submit system payment from SA went into our treasury and the post-submitted system payment will also be in there, as will your 720 mil. Just because your not a faction leader doesn't mean you don't have to share some of the financial brudens. Especially when a faction has heavy payments to pay for. Go check EVE, corps have an automatic tax rate, that a leader can change. It takes the taxes straight from your bounty rewards, mission rewards, etc. the lowest I've ever seen it is at 7.5%, average is 10%, and money is a hundred times harder to get on EVE. It took me a month of mission running and salvaging in a cruiser just for the 39 million to buy my Battlecruiser. Here on FL you can make 100 million in just over an hour. You get 1, ONE, million every hour in EVE.. Stop complaining. |
