In which system do you mine?

I love how something designed to encourage teamwork has only seemed to result in paranoid miners running away at the sight of a name on their contact list.

When other miners could pirate you, this was expected. Now that Miner IDs can no longer pirate, there'll be less of that. I pick up other miners and work in groups in my favorite spots all the time.

The problem is that with heavy cap armor transports are hard as a cruiser to kill, yet only GB or smaller escorts can engage.

That and we need MORE mining zones for short and medium range hops.

Oh, and dont JUST have ore sell in NT.

I tried to mine different things.. Gold seem to be bugged.. out of 11 rocks one drops about 4 units.. platinum sucks for about the same reason.. Tau-23 Niobium also very low on drop and chance of a drop compared to the distance and sell price. Best thing would is to make the $/Time somewhat equal to one another in the mining fields.. because its like always created a "One route" where all the traders and pirate hang out.

To all those who say "My new place makes me more" i can bet you are wrong.. the only thing it might be better at is lack of pirates.

Agreed, instead of a single sell point for the main mining rush, have several equidistance from it.

And have several 'mining rush' locations, at that.

' Wrote:Corsair has a point. The idea of the mining mod was to work with at least one other miner, and one hauler. If you don't use this system, you'll end up with sub-trading profits. If you work on your own, you end up with a really low $/sec.

Telling people to work in groups is not a bad attitude. The bad attitude is the lone wolf attitude that's threatening to get the mining system nerfed.

Since you seem to have failed to read his entire post or mine for that matter let me repeat myself.

Quote:The entire point of the mining mod was to encourage teamwork. Take your lone wolf attitude to Single Player and join us here in multiplayer with a teamplay attitude.

You see that bolded part there? That is his poor attitude. He is telling another player to leave if that player won't play the game like he wants him to. That is a poor attitude.

On to my post: I'll say it again, the point of the mining mod might be to promote teamwork but not everyone can manage to find a group of people to mine with, so get used to it. Many things play a factor in that.

Now that I have said that twice, could you per chance read it?

only thing that's stopping the people from finding a mining partner is their own brain and social ineptitude.

The fact that a number of kusari unlawfuls have been seeding spys among the traders/miners in Penn doesnt help.

Or that SOME of the KNF are content to allow AFA/Hogisha to attack 'gajun' rather than lift a finger (Note the SOME in caps, not all are doing it) and you get a VERY paranoid group.

That paranoia is a big part of it.
